  I have problems with my installation of Photoshop CS6 extended 13.0. I have a large collection of fonts (more than 9000 - no joke) and Photoshop slows down bad whenever I do something that requires the use of the fonts/typing/text handling. I tried to disable the font previews. Photoshop is still too slow. I found a related thread and have additional questions about my situation:

  Not really sure what to tell you. Using a lot of fonts is a serious drain on system resources.  How long does Photoshop take to open?  Some time I think.

  TypeKit used to be a wonderful resource, but it has become very limited, if you only plan to photograph, and it would do precisely nothing to the management of your 9000 fonts.  Not a garbage.

  I have a brand new, custom configured M500 form Toshiba. It has Windows 7 Professional Enterprise, 64-bit edition. Everything worked great until I spent a lot of money on the game Star Trek Online.
