Computer turned into fan

The problem is that one count 1 year turned into fan this morning. I put on stand-by and if I first pressed the button start two hours ago, or fans of the computer started working, but computer slept again like a newspaper. The computer seems to be on stand-by, the stand by light flashes, but it is not started. For the moment, I think the shape of the computer is like a Mini, but coverage is dark gray and the sign of HP is the Center. On the inside of the computer the blue mouse pad and the 'normal' mouse pad, there are two pairs of buttons on the mouse. I need help, because I need the computer for work and I can't work with the one I use at the moment.

I was suggested in another forum, I have to remove the battery and put it back in a little while. I did and I had to push the button start two times to make it work again. Then one of my friends saw how I had used the laptop and said ' Hey, you're covering the vents when you sit like that. " So, I understood that it "crashed" because it got too hot and needed more air. It happened a few times again but now I know what to do and I try to avoid it. But the vents everywhere under the computer - bad idea. Computer manufacturers should leave more free space under the thing as it takes a turnnot something that you can only use on the desk or table top, or... floor: Pei

Well, on the theory that your computer is awkward, try to change the settings to another thing and OK your way out the control panel.  Then go back and put them in the way they were and OK your way out.  Occasionally, it will reset the internal parameters and things can return to normal.

    Hi Windflash,

I had a similar problem also and it turns out that the hard drive is dead. You can probably do is to connect the hard drive to a working another computer & use data recovery tools to recover files from it but usability will always be a question.

Data recovery is an another stressful job as for me it took 3 days to recover data to a 500 GB drive.

After which I tried to format it own it but has not as well so I poured the reader.

You can try my snack suggestions if your drive starts to work again I strictly recommend you to use it as a primary drive.

    Msinfo32

Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.

Do you know if your network connection is connected directly to your motherboard or is it a separately installed card?

I suggest to wait a while and see how things work when you're unplugged for awhile - maybe one night, if we change too much at once.  This will allow to concentrate too much on the cause.

To get into the BIOS, look at your screen when you turn on your system for a message that says press a key to enter the system setup or BIOS (it is perhaps one of the F keys or maybe the button Delete...) and the press before XP starts to load.

If you miss the window of opportunity, just leave XP end load up normally, and then restart the system and try again (not power down or something like that--comes let XP and try again).

When you get into the BIOS, you will need to look around - maybe in a section Options LAN PnP Plug n Play...

Usually, pressing the Esc key several times to return you to the beginning and you can leave the BIOS setup with or without saving the changes.

If you change anything, remember to write down exactly what you changed, so if there is a problem you can change back.

  • My printer is configured to start when the computer turns on. I want to reconfigure it so that it does not turn

My printer is configured to start when the computer turns on.  I want to reconfigure it so that it won't turn.  I know this is probably a simple change, but I can't find the path anywhere.  Any help?

I guess you do NOT mean that you have both printer and computer plugged into the same power strip and both are turn on when you turn on the power strip.

As nearly as I can determine the rather thin material in the Guide for the Dell P713w user, probably have enabled "Eco-Mode" or the mode 'sleep '.  See page 19 of the User Guide (if you don't have it, download it here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/PRN_P713w/en/index.htm).

When this feature is enabled, the printer goes into mode low power when it has been idle for a while.  When the computer is off, the printer is by definition inactive and so will go to low power, shortly after that the computer is turned off.  When the computer is turned on, it detects the presence of the printer and connects to the printer.  Apparently, the printer interprets this string as the "no-idle" and out of his low-power mode, which appears as if it is "turn on."

In addition, this printer performs an automatic maintenance cycle every week if it is plugged into a power outlet. It will briefly exit Power Saver mode or turn on temporarily if it is disabled.

At least one of the lights on the printer flashes power on and off when you think that the printer is turned off?  If so, it is in energy saving mode.

Of course, I may be totally wrong, but it seems to me if you actually turn off the printer by pressing the button on / off on screen, he should not be able to auto (except once / week maintenance cycle).  From the Manual:

Note: When the printer is turned on, press [power] to switch to the power saving mode. Press and hold [power] for 3 seconds to turn off the printer.

    Hi BSRC$, in stock

    1. You have security software installed on the computer?
    2. You receive an error message when you restart the computer?

Reinstalling Windows XP to the factory setting would not be the first option.

It is possible that some third-party programs or the services installed on the computer interfere with the installation of service pack 3.

I suggest that you try to uninstall service pack 3 from the computer by using the recovery console and subsequently ask the article below for what to do before installing the service pack 3on the computer.

  • Why my internet accounts automatically get disconnected after that my computer turns off by itself?

I have a Compaq PC with processor Dual-Core AMD Athlon X 2 5000, and it runs Windows Vista Edition Home Premium... In my view, that is running Service Pack 2. I use the computer to check my e-mail, my YouTube and Facebook accounts (and possibly other accounts spread I connect to).

I usually use Internet Explore to browse the web. Sometimes my computer turns off by itself due to overheating. But whenever when this happens, when I turn my computer back on and return to the use of the Internet, I've totally frustrated to find that all my accounts were automatically disconnected!

Even when I check these boxes to keep me connected to these accounts when I turn on the computer again after a successful stop, my accounts still get disconnected!

It only seems to happen when my computer turns off by itself without stopping... mainly due to overheating. When I turn on the computer again after a successful regular stop, my accounts are automatically saved on once again, due to activate me "Keep me connected" by checking these little boxes. But after a situation when the computer is off all the time (either by himself for a reason, either by me with strength to turn it off when my computer crashes), my accounts do not remain.

How can I prevent my accounts automatically be disconnected so that whenever I start the computer, after it turns off by itself, my internet accounts turned on? There must be a patch for this embarrassing situation here on the internet.

Perhaps because an improper shutdown / forced can inpact on different parameters.

2-3 days after the expiry of my warranty of one year, my computer turns off suddenly during use.  I rebooted, but it stopped again.

The model is that the computer runs for 15-30 minutes, then suddenly stops, the system reboots, runs for 2-3 minutes, stops, restarts, spans less than a minute, stops, restarts, stop after a few seconds, etc., and at that time there I give until the next day when I repeat the same cycle all over.    I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit and it is a model of Dell Inspiron 518.  There is no error message but a beep at startup upward.  I ran Windows repair program 'Start' who did a restore without success.  The problem occurs even in Safe Mode.

  • DVD RW RAM drive turned into a CD ROM

I am running Vista Home Premium (64 bit) on a laptop Acer Aspire 6930.  I discovered that my DVD RW RAM drive (IDE\HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N le05) turned into a CD-ROM drive. My system today described this DVD RW RAM drive as a CD-ROM drive.

I tried to update, roll back, selection of the driver to be installed without success.  Device property details have changed.

While searching on the web for a solution to my problem, I learned that I'm NOT the only person this transmogrification arrived. Unfortunately, I still have to learn a shy solution to reinstall my operating system.  Can someone give me advice or point me in the right direction?

I don't really know what controls the parameters for installing the correct driver for each device.  I guess that the parameters are defined in the Details tab for the properties of each device.  I have no idea how I would do anything to change these settings, but I think that a potential problem lies.

    Hello

Step 1: Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
    solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are some registry entries

Check with your system manufacturer Maker and device for possible firmware updates and the good

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community Forum. Rest assured that we would do our best to help you.

What is the number of KB of the update that was installed?

It sounds like a third-party software or service is causing the problem.

You can perform the following steps and check if that helps:

    Step 1:

You can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. The following article explains how to solve problems in Windows Vista or Windows 7 by performing a clean boot:

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Step 2:

You can also scan your computer the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
