cursor turns into auto-scroll and will automatically start scrolling up and down.

Original title: after the big update Tuesday, October 9, 2012 my mouse started acting and auto switch to scroll without touching!

It is especially obvious when you use any browser. I thought it was a conflict with Zone Alarm, but after uninstalling ZA problem persists. Symptoms is the cursor turns into auto-scroll to move the only mouse will scroll the pages upwards or downwards. The other thing when I place the mouse over Favorites, it automatically opens all favorite links! I tried to restore to before Oct. 9, update, but the problem persists!

Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community Forum. Rest assured that we would do our best to help you.

What is the number of KB of the update that was installed?

It sounds like a third-party software or service is causing the problem.

You can perform the following steps and check if that helps:

Step 1:

You can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. The following article explains how to solve problems in Windows Vista or Windows 7 by performing a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Step 2:

You can also scan your computer the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Hope this information helps. Please do not hesitate to answer, we would be happy to help.

It takes all my control now to scroll the page and quickly toward the front of the page down and if I try to scroll up the opposite occurs.  The only way I cawn stop is to click again and it will stop it temporarily.  Can someone tell me how to get rid of this annoying "helper"?

  • Application will automatically start

I have a PC that runs an application automatically at startup and stops at Windows and the PC when you exit the application.  I checked the boot menu (one profile) and a few keys in the registry but found nothing.  Always the application automatically starts when it is started in Mode safe.  If not, where can I get?

Looks like you need to run the free software "Autoruns".  It shows practically everything that runs at startup and gives you the ability to disable one of them.

I had just installed Microsoft Essentials... before uninstalling software anti-virus TrenMicro expired... maybe Detailer left some files on my system after uninstall?

    Hello

This problem normally occurs when there are files that are infected by viruses.

    Method 1:

Run a scan antivirus on your computer.

    www.Microsoft.com/Security/Scanner

Note: If infections are detected during the scan, there is a risk of data loss because infected files will be deleted.

    Method 2:

You also try to run the uninstaller to complete tool to remove traces of antivirus Trend.

    http://eSupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-us/1056551.aspx

    Check the issue.

    Method 3: Clean boot

If the problem persists, you can place the computer in a clean boot.

Put the computer in a State of boot is a way to know which application is causing this problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

Step 1: Follow the steps in the link below to do the same thing:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as shown here:

Step 2: To configure Windows to use a Normal startup state

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    a. Click Start and then click Run.

    b. type msconfig and click OK. The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    c. click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    d. When you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

  • PS The quick selection of CC cursor turns into arrow

Hi, upgrade PS CS6 to 2015 CC, I have a fairly serious problem.

When I use the quick selection tool to add or subtract, the circle with cross-shaped cursor becomes the standard arrow cursor, make difficult selections.

In this case, if I use my Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet (with latest drivers) or a mouse.

I'm running Windows 10 and have stable, current NVidia GPU drivers.

I tried to reset the preferences, tools, etc.  Past yet.

    Thank you!

This seems to be a real bug.  Everything works fine with my quick selection cursor, unless I have spend the primary mouse button (if I can use the left-handed mouse).

This certainly seems to be a Windows 10 + CC PS bug.  If the primary mouse button are switched to left-handed use, the quick selection cursor becomes irregular, usually showing as an arrow instead of a circle with cross during the addition or subtraction of selections.  Very annoying.

I'm NOT left-handed, but I use the mouse right-handed or left-handed because I use my Wacom tablet.

This question is NOT related to the Wacom tablet, as the problem is that Wacom drivers are installed or not, or if the Tablet is connected or not.

Please check this matter to see that it is not specific to my system.

    Thanks, Adobe!

  • Turn off auto scroll when you select objects in windows Explorer 7

It is preventing me to double click on the file... :(

If the entire column can not be seen, it scrolls when you select an item in this column.  The only way to avoid this is to maximize the window of your file so that it can receive the full column width.

  • Mouse randomly turns into a bigger sign and does not act as a cursor to all the

original title: the behavior of the cursor

Sometimes, and often, my cursor turns into a huge sign and does not act as a cursor at all; Let me not select, click or anything like that.  Acts as a tool "edit page."  I can't understand why or how it turns into that.

In the mouse settings, make sure that ClickLock is unchecked.  This feature, if enabled, will cause the cursor being stuck in the corresponding mode.
