• Windows XP CD rom will not play my game.

  Whenever I put my Cd in my Cd rom Sims pets turns and the small icon flashes on the mouse as if its going to play.  However an error message saying Windows player is not ready, then it has the little message:

  and then I have 3 options to cancel, try again or continue.  So I click and it will continue to run as if its going to play. but nothing happens!

  I'll even try to manually open it on the page my computers and it will not show that it is inside the cd rom.

  In the past this has happened and it wouldshow this message and when I click on continue, it would still be autoload and play.

  So did you continue to step 8.  If you do not have an upperfilter listed then you just need to go and seek the UpperFilter.  If you do not see also entry UpperFilter then you can close out of regedit.

  If there was no lower filter, then I would like to know a few more details.  This only happens with this game or the CD drive has problems with other CDs as well?  You can test this on another PC game disc?

  Have you, after you restore the system to the factory settings, install all the latest drivers from device hardware and software for all your components (internal and external)?  Drivers and software for the devices.  In particular, any software for the Canon.
