  I had some problems with random BSOD on my laptop.
  The laptop itself is relatively new, bought in March of this year, very good model but refently that I started to have problems.

  The BSOD can be caused by a hardware problem software.
  You can check if the new OS install would solve this if this software issue then a new operating system installation is the good workaround. Before you start an OS install, back up data ;)

  But of course the question could be linked to the material; for example the high temperature.
  You said that you have noticed a higher temperature everything to happen.
  So maybe the memory modules are affected by a higher temperature, and this leads to BSOD. Often blocked fans are reason for this. Check to see if dust and debris must be removed you can remove the dust using a jet of compressed air.

  But if this is not enough, I'd recommend checking the material under conditions of warranty

  To my knowledge there is not anyway, unless start you numbering at 500 the number. It is an option in the export dialog window.

  Hello Raphael,.

  You need to connect to the PIX via the port on the PIX console. If you deleted the passwords, then (as mentioned before), there is NO password to access privileged EXEC access just don't hit back, now, you will need to configure a password to "enable" with command > pix # enable password - the password is case-sensitive and can be a combination of characters and numbers the length of the password is limited to 16 characters.

  You can now set access telnet as well i.e. config mode > pix (config) # telnet [masque_sous] [interface_name]

  example: (in config mode) telnet 192.168.10.10 255.255.255.0 inside

  Good idea to use the static IP address for the above, makesure to save your config with cmd: write memory

  I have a firewall PIX 525 and all is well. Today I had to add a new static rule and is a problem.

  I have a Web server on an internal DMZ and I have the static rule to that effect. Now I want to have a static rule to 2 public IP addresses translate to the server on my DMZ (2 public translated into an internal IP address on the DMZ). I could do with some work... just to old sites on the DNS IP I have... but I want to be able to translate other my internal Web server IP.

  When I try to configure the new static rule, the said PIX she rides the other...

  This configuration is not supported on the PIX. You can't have 2 GAL, translating to the same internal address. The most common solution I've seen for this adds another interface (whether via a separate NETWORK card or another address on the same NETWORK card if your operating system allows) on the server and create your static on the PIX as a result.

• Unable to retrieve the password on PIX 501 - TFTP failed (return: arg:0 x 0-1)

  In the course of a merger of office, we got a PIX 501. It is obviously been configured but nobody is anywhere knows anything and there is no documentation regarding the config not found. As a result, I tried to retrieve the password so that we can reconfigure and reuse it for our purposes. I followed the instructions on the cisco.com web site but get the error message:

  TFTP failed (return: arg:0 x 0-1)

  I tested the connectivity between the PIX and TFTP server and it works. I can post a txt file that is captured is of no help.

  Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong or, more importantly, how the address so that I can recover the password. Certainly, it is the first time that I have worked on a PIX.

  We currently have a web server that is connected to the Internet directly (multiple addressable IPs belonging to 5 different ranges of class C, with a soft firewall).

  There are several Web sites, some of them with their own IP addresses, some of them sharing IPs with other sites.

  We intend to put a server behind a PIX firewall and convert addressable IP addresses to private IPs with the static mapping on the PIX.

  We plan use a PIX with two (2) interfaces.

  You think it of feasible or are there things that I'm on?

  Some things I'm not sure about:

  Since there are several C class IPs assigned to the server and therefore 5 gateways defined on a NIC, one for each class, how that is defined on the PIX? 5 separate roads or...?

  We need to use a kind of "virtual interfaces", one for each class C subnet?

  This is an example of a "final product":

  Web request to the 204.xxx.85.10 IP addressable would be directed to the private IP address: 10.xxx.85.10.

  Web request to the 204.xxx.86.10 IP addressable would go to 10.xxx.86.10 etc etc.

  Any help you could provide in this regard will be GREATLY apprechiated!
