Conditional Import presets

I would like to have develop presets that are applied at the time of Import conditional on the type of camera and file. (Other conditions such as the type of lens can also be useful)

For example, I have two different brands of camera and sometimes shoot Raw or JPEG.  I have four presets to import different and I would like to have the corresponding preset applied automatically at the time of importation.

Especially because I forgot to change the import preset when downloading on a different configuration :-)

I can put an expand by default to be applied to the image depends on the camera model, series, etc.   Is this to say that I do not have a Preset to develop import of time to get my default settings applied?

No, you needn't. Note that if you apply a preset import, it will replace your Defults develop.

If I change the Default to develop now, it will affect all the images currently in the library?  In other words, it will be on route adjustments that I already have?

No, it won't. This will not affect the newly imported files that correspond to the camera, type, ISO, etc. It will also apply to the old files when you click Reset.

  • Develop the Import Preset with your car

After the passage of the LR5 to LR CC, I think not being able to import photos with your car. I have a develop preset called "general" who uses your car and a few other settings and that was my default import preset for a certain time. Since switching to the CC, everything works except the auto tone. I tried the update the preset without change. The preset works great if I select the image and applicable after import.

Today I tried to change the "auto Apply your adjustments" in preferences, and then later all of my photos imported with an exhibition between-5 and all the rest to zero.

Could you please return to the previous Lightroom and then try to use the Preset to develop.

The problem with the destination folder, not updated as saved in the preset import has been reproduced on our end and it will be saved so that it can be taken care of.

  • No more import presets into 2015.2?

I like the reorganization of the import dialog box.  It is much more effective.  However, I see no option for the presets for the dialog together as before.  In other words a preset that contains a predefined place, develop preset, keywords, and metadata in a preset.  Maybe I'm missing just something obvious?

    Thanks for the update.

That option is always available in Lightroom 6.2 and which is the Import Preset option under Advanced on the right panel.

  • How to remove the user created the import presets in lightroom?

I'm trying to streamline my import process in lightroom and I want to remove the import presets, I created.  What is the best way to achieve this?  Thank you

The normal route is simply select the preset, and then choose 'delete... '. "the drop (in the import dialog box).

But if you want a faster way to more dirty, just out of Lightroom, then remove them with your operating system (.lrtemplate files) and then open Lightroom again.

They are to a subfolder called import Presets (then subfolder "User Presets") in the folder that contains all your preferences and presets, which you can find by using the dialog box Preferences from Lr-> tab Presets-> button "show Lightroom Presets folder.

  • Weird LR 3 import presets...

Out of the blue LR3 began to apply distortion + 9 and + 1 vertical settings from the control panel Lens Correction for all my imports. It is possible regardless of the lens used. I redid all my presets, haven't tried any import presets, trashed my preferences file and then redid my presets and still haven't tried any import persets. The problem persists.

    It's about LR 3.2 64 bit, Windows 7 64 bit. Any ideas?

    Thank you.

You must have defined a custom setting to default values. (But given the number of people reporting similar problems, I'm starting to think that there is a bug that causes these default values set by themselves).

To reset, select one of the images with distortion + 9 and + 1 vertical adjustment, go to the develop module, menu development, define expand by default and click Reset to the defects of Adobe.

Import an image shot with the same device to check if the default incorrect values have disappeared.

    Hi all

I need to export my settings as a preset to Word import and use in other systems, pl. confirm the path.

INTHE import dialog box options is that a backup key preset. It will write an .smp file in your user profile in a subfolder "Word import Presets. The location of this file may vary silghtly with OS, but it should be a subfolder in the same way as the InDesign Defaults file, and you will find a list of the places where it is in this topic: replace your preferences

  • Importing Presets into Lightroom CC

I downloaded presets of Photoserge.com and need to import them into Lightroom CC. The presets are in files with extensions .lrtemplate. How can I import into Lightroom so that they appear in the options of presets in the develop Module?

To 'Develop the Presets'-(prédéfinies sera différents!)

    Open the Module to develop

    Open the presets Panel,

Hover the mouse over "user Presets".

    Right-click

    The menu, select [Import]

Go to the Explorer/Finder to select the FOLDER where the files .lrtemplate, (do NOT select a file!)

    Click [Import]

You can also click right in the presets Panel to create "new folders" in the Presets.

You can drag and drop the presets to other places in the presets Panel, such as a new folder.

  • Lightroom will not let me import presets

I bought a preset from the presets of Béart, specifically the preset of perfection of the skin. When I try to import predefined files, a box pops up saying that. Error importing. The predefined file was the wrong type of preset.

ddoes anyone know why that would happen? I imported another preset package that I buy the week without problem.

    Thank you

The 'Manual' method called, implies not Lightroom.

You can use Lightroom to show you where your presets are stored in opening preferences and looking at the tab [Presets] - click [show Lightroom Presets folder...].

Presets are in a folder "Lightroom settings"

OR you can use the operating system to find the folder "Lightroom settings".

(Note: there may be in one of two places-1.) As Joe says in Post #4, or 2. In the same folder as the catalog.

Using the method of preferences will always find location!)

Now close Lightroom! and using File Explorer/Mac Finder - copy and paste the xxxx.lrtemplate files provided by Béart, in a folder to which they belong. Two records are important for editing the predefined settings:

Global presets will go to "Develop Presets"

Predefined in the "Local adjustment presets" will move

You will need to know the difference!

  • Moved to CC of LR5 - import presets?

I've been using LR5 and I think moving to creative cloud.  I bought a large number of third party presets.  How to make sure that that these presets are available in CC?  (asking this because there seems to be very different answers on the forums).  Thank you!

If you are installing CC on the same machine LR 5 is installed on all the presets should be carried forward. All of the user Presets are stored with the standard presets in a subfolder named user Presets for all modules and actions in your user name folder (in a slightly different location, path, Windows or Mac). CC will update the standard settings, if there is and should load your LR presets at startup.

Or if you have a checked option he could store in real catalog file. As long as you use the same catalog, LR CC will copy the LR 5 catalogue and convert that copy in a catalog LR CC, they should all charge the first time LR is started.
