Conexant Audio Driver for Vista 4.92.5 and XP 3.64.6 - resolve SmartAudio Installation Issues

After installing this new version of the audio driver posted on the Lenovo Web site, I get this error whenever I start the SmartAudio application from the control panel.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver but nothing works.

I am currently running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

Anyone has the same problem?

Thank you.

  • Conexant Audio Driver for Windows 7

    Hi all

I am a user of HP Pavilion dv1000 laptop (PR428UA #ABA), which is a very primitive model, but after upgrade the RAM to 1 GB, I changed the OS from Win XP to Win 7, and it's useful for now. In my view, that it is faster than when it was on XP.

    The problem is, I can't get the audio driver Conexant Cx20468 @ Intel 82801DBM ICH4-M - AC 97 Audio Controller [B-1], for Windows 7.

Yes, I already checked several messages in this forum and tried the similar drivers such as sp40270.exe or sp37816.exe.

    But it does not work.

What I have to give up this challenge because he's too old for laptop?

    Thank you.

    Hi, Jun:

Sorry, that didn't work. I was hoping he would because it was an AC-97 audio driver.

I have another simple idea that you can try.

If you have your laptop connected to the internet, click the audio device in Device Manager. Click the driver tab click on Update driver. Select the automatic search method and I hope that Windows Update will download and install an audio driver for it.

I'm sure that your laptop should be able to run Windows 7, including audio.

If this does not work, try this method of complicated... change the driver XP for work in W7... but you should be able to do. Just follow the instructions carefully:

    1. download the sp30399 driver.   You can get it here:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-31530-1 & LC = on & CC = US & DLC = in & Product = 1816346 & os = 228 & lang = in

    2. run sp30399.exe.

3 go to the extracted folder (default location is: c:\SWSetup\sp30399)

    4. change qta3091.inf:
    Search code block:
    [Conexant]
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C

and add this line to the title:
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_10B9 & DEV_5451 & SUBSYS_0024103C & REV_02

So the result would look like this:
    [Conexant]
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_10B9 & DEV_5451 & SUBSYS_0024103C & REV_02

Note: Copy this part of the Device Manager > Multimedia Audio Controller > Details > hardware ID:
    PCI\VEN_10B9 & DEV_5451 & SUBSYS_0024103C & REV_02

You can have a slightly different description of the device. If you want to be sure, go to Device Manager, open the properties of the audio device not recognized, select the "Détails" tab and select "Hardware ID" in the drop-down list properties drop-down list. Copy the listed top hardware ID string and replace the description of device I wrote above, with one you see.

So the final result is as follows (if you have a description of different device.):
    [Conexant]
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C
% * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_INSERT YOUR DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE ID

    5. now, all you have to do is to install the driver manually through the Device Manager (Driver tab > update driver > select manual installation method and browse to the extracted driver folder (sp30399).)

Good luck and please let us know if you get the sound to work.

    Hello

where did you downloaded the driver? On the toshiba Web site? Maybe you should try the driver from realtek home page because they are native and absolutely clear things from other manufacturers. I think you should try "www.realtek.com" and install the driver downloaded from there, once you have uninstalled the driver for your machine.

    Hello

It seems that for L100 Vista drivers are not available at this time.
But in my opinion it s that a matter of time when Vista for L100 drivers will be available.

  • T400: Problem and FIX for UK Conexant Audio Driver for Windows Vista and XP (4.92.2.0 2009/04/23)

    Hello

    I installed the new drivers Conexant for my T400 (the driver is also for R400, R500, T400, T500, W500, W700, W700ds, X 200, X200s, X 200 Tablet, X 301) yesterday.

This morning I had to adjust the smart-audio feature works correctly with my helmet of docking station for VoIP calls. The control panel SmartAudio applet would work well. It crashes.

Today a .net developer and that it is a .net application I got it debugged in Visual Studio. The problem, apparently, is that the folder "C:\Program Files\CONEXANT\SAII\en-GB" does not exist on my machine. Of course, it is true. The solution is to go to "C:\Program Files\CONEXANT\SAII" and copy the contents of the "en-US" folder to a new folder "en-GB".

Just thought I'd share this incase anyone else has problems and so Lenovo can fix if all goes well the installation. I suspect it will be wishful thinking, to provide them with real ENGLISH values for resources in en - GB instead of corrupt English which is probably in the American version resources

  • Satellite L20 - impossible to upgrade to Vista because of Conexant audio driver

Please, I try hard to move to Vista, but here? problem with the Conexant AC-link audio driver ve.

    Could you help me?

Microsoft redesigned the Sound System in Vista, so you need Vista Sound drivers.

Remove audio driver XP, install Vista, and then install the audio driver for Vista.

If you can't find a Vista to the L20 driver, try another model that uses the same audio card. Maybe the Satellite P100 or L30 / L40?

    Hey Buddy

First of all, you can install all possible OS on your P305.
It true s that the P305 has been pre-installed with the Vista operating system, but of course, you will be able to use other OS like Win XP

Why you n t check the European driver Toshiba page and choose the show Satellite P300. It of similar to the Satellite P305 (U.S. series) and you'll find the Conexant audio driver!

As far as I know at this time the 3.47.1.50 versions seems to be a more recent.

    See you soon

  • Can't find an audio driver for HP DV9334US Windows XP Conexant

I have a laptop DV9334US my wife uses for its medical transcription. It is running Vista. Among the applications of transcription are old and it contracts to upgrade only to a level that works with Vista, including Dictaphone. These require Windows XP. Install XP on this laptop is fine except no sound, because I can not find a driver on the HP site or anywhere else. Seems that the Conexant HD Audio driver is Vista only at least HP of the site. I have tried various universal HD Audio drivers but no luck. I tried to use Virtual PC but unfortunately it does not support attached USB devices and transcription for all the pedals etc are connected USB. Has anyone ever found a driver for this chipset Conexant HD Audio integrated in the DV9334US that works with XP? Thanks in advance.
