Scan from Mac OS to HP PSC1510 10.9

Hi suealpha,

I understand that you want to know how to scan on the 10.9.

I'll be happy to help you.

The only available drivers are from the Apple software updates.

Unfortunately there is no driver full functionality with the HP solutions Center.

I have provided a document for installation with Maverick.

V10.9 OS X Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac.

This document will provide different way to scan on Maverick.

How to perform a scan: OS X v10.9.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
Have a great day!

  • HP photosmart C5550 scan from Mac OS x 10.6.8 after driver update

I tried to get that day of your expert, but did not get a response. I am scanning images from a directory of the former for our class reunion. Photos come with a design of type rafters/checkerboard everywhere on some pages and only on some images on other pages.  Some pages contain pictures with them and little nice and clear design.  Someone suggested, it might be something to do with a filter, or the so-called Gaussian blur, but I have no idea what it is.  I tried to use the two IPhoto and the HP software and which makes no difference.  I saw one of your experts to someone else answer that they should try updating the driver, so I followed that direction, but now, the scanner will not all scan to the computer.  I tried to unplug and add the Photosmart, but that did not help. In Applications it does not even show that the Photosmart is connected but it is.  I don't know what else to try.  I tried everything that is too bad to be fixed?  It was working fine until I had this problem of scanning.

We will uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
    Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall< this="" is="" the="" scrubber="" option,="" there="" is="" no="" button="" labeled="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

    Now reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!

Download the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page and install it.

There may be more things to do to make it work, but you must be able to scan from your Mac.

    Hi Skoot,

The link above refers to the firmware, not for the software, these aren't the same things...

In the configuration Menu, select reports, then the Config report.

In the product information section, which is the listed firmware datecode?

  • I can print but not scan from my mac os 10.6.8

I have a HP all-in - one 1315 printer connected to my Mac. My Mac running OS 10.6.8. I am able to print to the printer, but I cannot scan. Any help is appreciated more.

    Hello

I'm afraid that the specific model, as a former model, only provided woth print drivers and no longer support scanning from Mac OS X 10.5, as you can find below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01234231

    * Even if the specific document on Mac OS X 10.5, same thing for any newer OS.

To work around the problem, try the scan of 3rd party Vuescan software which seems to support the PSC 1315:

  • scanning from hpOfficejet Pro 8610 for OSX ELCapitan

I can't scan from my Officejet Pro 8610 All-in-one scanner my computer Mac (OSX El Capitan).  It prints well ok.  Someone can help me.  Thank you.

    Hi @Ellen6,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your problem of scanning.

I understand that you can print fine on your computer Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan for a HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer, but you are unable to scan. I would like to help with that.

I would like to start by resetting printing Mac system. If you are unsure how, here is an Apple Support document that can help - reset the printing system.

After resetting the printing system, the printer will have to be added to the printers and Scanners window. You want to make sure that you select the driver "HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 series" instead of the driver "AirPrint" in the menu in the window of printer "Add" drop-down 'use'. Here is a document that can help with this if needed - Add or remove a printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • HP Photo Smart D5110 will not scan with Mac OS 10.9

Help. I've looked everywhere and can't always come up with a solution to scan from my Photosmart. Worked fine until I upgraded to Maverick. Thank you!

WelchSHello and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you are looking in your scanning options. I would try to help.

Due to the age of the printer, there is no HP software for this printer on Mavericks.  You can, however, use the characters of basic Mac OS and drivers to scan.  I'm including a document on the installation and using the printer on a Macthat should help you to solve this particular section of the document titled "How to scan with Apple software update driver?"

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • How to scan from computer?

I'm trying to scan a document on D110 eprinter but get the following scan error message 'try scan from computer or see the documentation '. Any help?

    Hi mehaem,

If you use that a Windows based PC, open the icon of the solution center which should have been created when you installed the software. In this application, you should have the option to scan.

If you use a machine based MAC OS x, in the drawer of applications, in the Hewlett-Packard folder, there is an application called HP Scan. You can perform an operation analysis of this application.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello.

According to the version of Mac OS x that is on your computer, you may need to scan using the software on your Mac.

If you use OS 10.11, please scan from the Scan IJ utility instead.  This program are in the Canon Utilities folder in Applications.

I am trying to scan from my computer windows 7 using my new printer, as shown above.  I used to have an IP address with my old printer wireless so that all I had to do was get in line and type it in and print management, scanning and ink tabs HPs came. That's how I scanned it.  I get that now.  What Miss me?  Drivers or software?  To be installed automatically, you would think! with a new printer... does anyone have a solution? Thank you.

    Hello

I do not know why you can not install the printer software and driver on your computer. I now have a ready 7640 Envy (identical to your craving 7645, even software and driver) in front of me. I have ben the test using 3 different routers, more than a dozen of Windows machines, phones Samsung, Samsung tablets, tablets from HP, iPhone, iPad, Windows phones. For Windows 8.1 Please also using the same CD to inatall why doesn't not fit the CD I don't know. If no CD, please download the following file and run as administrator

  • Scan on mac

    Hello

I have installed the HP Photosmart C4280 on my Mac (OS X 10.6.4)  When I try to scan, computer firstly said that the sweeping system inadvertently stop, then with subsequent trys, it always freezes.  I have two exact same printers and two of the CD for the printer and this happens when using or the other.

    Thanks for your help

    Mathiadatter

You probably installed the software from the CD for the printer?  If so, you must remove this particular way:

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Now run a software update.

Then, remove and reinstall the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax.

You do not have the software now since Snow Leopard as well print & scan drivers built-in. scan from Preview apps or Image Capture. Scan from the front panel of the printer does not work yet.
