Configuration memory motherboard Formosa

I have a motherboard Formosa in a h8 1220 t hpe.  The card mother specifys it supports pc3 12800 1600 mhz RAM however, I installed Gskill RAM with the above specifications and it appears at a speed of 1333 mhz.

is there anywhere in the BIOS I can configure what I haven't noticed?

Hello

The Formosa motherboard can run processors Intel Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge.  If your PC has the Intel Sandy Bridge processor then 1333, this is all you will see. If you use the processor to Intel Ivy Bridge, then all DIMMs must be 1600 mhz DIMM (same CASE required) to make sure DIMMs will link upward to the maximum speed rating.

Customized motherboards will allow faster speeds with the DIMM using XMP, but generally the fastest speeds are overclocking the DIMMs.  Even without the use of XMP in the faster speeds can be achieved using manual timing and adjusting the tension. HP does not cards mothers consumer overclocking choice except on rare occasions.

Maybe a silly question but will the EVGA GeForce GTX SC 76 working mother FORMOSA on a map?

    Sticknrudder, welcome to the forum.

Not ridiculous at all in question.  It is difficult to know which video cards work in computers of nowadays.  I had to do a lot of research, including telephone calls to EVGA and XFX Support' are.

In this case, the video card will not work in your computer.  All the GT to introduce 640 EVGA video cards require a complete UEFI BIOS into the motherboard.  HP didn't start to use a complete UEFI BIOS until October 2012.  Your computer was released in July 2011.

In addition, most of the newer cards will require a power supply unit (PSU) upgrade.  It is, in other words, you have chosen the 460W or 600W PSU when you purchased the computer.  Even the 460W may not be enough to power for some of the cards.

MSI makes a video card with a hybrid VBIOS with a switch to select an inheritance or a UEFI BIOS.  There's a video in the link I provided just below the map image.  Paul of Newegg has done a good job of explining map.  I suggest you contact their Technical Support to ensure that it will work on your computer.  It is 9.84 "in length.  I suggest to make a model of the size of the card to ensure that it will not go in the space provided if they say that it will work.

  • Configuration memory of WebLogic

    Hi guys,.

I know who are two ways to set up the memory used by WebLogic server:

    1. using setDomainEnv.sh
    2. using the administration console by putting the Arguments in server configuration start page.

I noticed that the command that starts the weblogic server contains entries of duplicates for Xms and Xmx MaxPermSize. The first has the value configured in the setDomainEnv.sh and the second has the value configured in the page 'stat server '. The command looks like:

    /usr/JDK/instances/JDK1.7.0/bin/Java-serveur-D64 - Xms512m-Xmx1024m - XX: MaxPermSize = 512 m -Dweblogic.nodemanager.ServiceEnabled = true - Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification = true - Dweblogic.ReverseDNSAllowed = false -Xms1024m-Xmx4096m -XX: MaxPermSize = 512 m

In this case, what value will be used for Xms and Xmx MaxPermSize?

    Thank you

I asked supplier what is the reason and that this was their response:

"Memory is less, on vm servers, because there is an overpass (128-200 MB), which is deducted from the total memory, if you need more RAM you ask accordingly."

This explanation does not seem right, because I think General cool knowledge happens on the hypervisor and comments should receive all the memory configured, if there are no limits set by resource management policies.

They sent me a screenshot of VMclient which shows

    Memory: 1024 MB

    Overhead: 104,53 MB

Use of the memory of the host: 855 MB

    Memory usage comments: 471 MB

Is there a bad configuration on their side, or am I missing something here?

There may be a missunderstanding. When you assign 1024Mo to the guest who is the amount of memory the burst enables the OS. Point.

If you ask me, your provider is pulling on your legs.

    "Memory of the Virtual Machine.

Each virtual machine consumes memory based on its configured size, more the additional memory overhead for virtualization.

    Configured size.

The configured size is a building maintained by the virtualization for the VM layer. This is the amount of memory that is presented to the guest operating system, but it is independent of the amount of physical RAM that is allocated to the virtual machine, which depends on the resource (shares, booking, limit) parameters explained below.

For example, consider a virtual machine with a configured size of 1 GB. When the guest operating system starts, he believes that it is running on a machine with 1 GB of physical memory. The actual amount of memory physical host allocated to the virtual machine depends on its resource settings memory and memory on the host ESX Server contention. In some cases, the virtual machine may charge the full 1 GB. In other cases, he could receive a small stipend. Whatever the actual distribution, the guest operating system continues to behave as if it is running on a machine with 1 GB of physical memory dedicated. "

    Hi guys

I'm about to determine the limit of the memory of all my virtual machines in a datacenter in Unlimited.

    With this: (easy enough)

    Get-data center-name "target Center" | Get-Cluster | Get - VM | Get-VMResourceConfiguration | where {$_.} {MemLimitMB - don't '-1'} | Game-VMResourceConfiguration - MemLimitMB $null

But don't really know how to approach the other way around.

    $Details

    $SettingsVM

    $Details = get-data center-name "target Center" | Get-Cluster | Get - VM | Select Name, MemoryMB

    $SettingsVM.Name = $Details.Name

    $SettingsVM.MemoryMB = $Details.MemoryMB

    Get-VM-name $SettingsVM.Name | Get-VMResourceConfiguration | where {$_.} MemLimitMB - eq $Null} | Game-VMResourceConfiguration - MemLimitMB $Details.MemoryMB

    Thank you

    John

    Hi John,.

You can use the following script to PowerCLI for the opposite approach:

    Get-data center-name "target Center" |

    Get - VM |

    {ForEach-Object

    $VM = $_

    $VM | Get-VMResourceConfiguration |

    Where-Object {$_.} {MemLimitMB - eq - 1} |

    Game-VMResourceConfiguration - MemLimitMB $VM. MemoryMB

    }

  • County of total memory configured in each cluster

    Hello

I'm pretty new still, Powershell and PowerCLI, but I'm learning.

I'm playing with, trying to extract data from my vCenter and its going well so far, with the help of this site and a lot of google'ing

But now im running into a bit of a problem, I want to count the total amount of memory configured in each cluster. And what I soleved with this code:

    $confimem = get-Cluster |

    Select Name,

    @{N = 'Total configured memory GB'; E = {}

    [Math]: round (($_ |)) Get - VM | %{$_. MemoryMB} |

    Measure-object-sum | (Select sum - ExpandProperty) / 1 Ko, 1).

    }}

And it gives a good result. But now I'm thinking it's account also all VM in the cluster, which is fed to the wide models and all that. I want to do is to include only the VM that is powered.

And I was thinking something like: Where-Object {$_.} PowerState - eq 'Receiving'}, but I'm not experienced enough to know how to put this together.

Any body help me solve this problem? I would be very happy

    Nice day.

    $confimem = get-Cluster | Select Name, @{N = 'Total configured memory GB'; E = {[Math]: round (($_ |))} Get - VM | Where-Object {$_.} PowerState - eq "Receptor"} | %{$_. MemoryMB} | Measure-object-sum | {{(Select-ExpandProperty Sum)/1 Ko, 1)}}

  • Memory configured

    Hello

A virtual machine allows more memory than its configured memory?

    For example:

ESXi host is to have 10 GB of memory. 2 VM are hosted on this. Dv01 & VM02 configured memory is 2 GB.

    (1) if the Application is running inside the virtual machine requires more memory, then Will VM would be able to use memory configured 2 GB of memory conc as host is to have additional 6 GB of memory?

    Hello

When you say 'configured memory', I guess you are trying to say that it is the memory that you have assigned as you created the virtual machine.

In this case, not your virtual machine cannot be used more than it is configured with. you increase the memory.

Please see below the link and image captured from pubs of vmware.

Corsair memory is not compatible with the system?

I have a dual boot and installed ubuntu on this subject. Ubuntu loads perfectly fine, but after a while the system restarts automatically (IE open application).

I tried memorytest86 to test the memory, but the application continue to crash and reboot and does not provide any results.

    Help, please.

The RAM is not compatible. The system allows a maximum total memory of 8 GB and uses DDR3-1333 which downclocks at 1066 speed. You cannot use a single module of 8 GB. 4 gigs is the large single module supports the system. I suspect the memory that you have will work fine if you had modules of 2 x 4 GB instead of a single module of 8 GB. That's why memtest is not finished. The controller memory motherboard is not able to take up 8 GB of RAM by a single channel.

If the answer is "Yes"; This will make a significant difference when it comes to operating speed and the ability to play some of the newer games that require more memory to play. If this isn't the good memory to upgrade my laptop with what I need and how much memory can I add to my system. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    The value maximum supported are 8 GB (2 x 4) DDR3 SODIMM.

    Manual

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02642701

Supports up to 8 GB of RAM in the following configurations
Memory ● total system of 8192 MB (4096 MB × 2, both channels)
    System memory total 6144 ● MB (4096 MB × 1 + 2048 MB × 1)
    Memory ● system total of 4096 MB (2048 MB x 2, dual-channel)
    Memory 4096 MB total system (4096 MB × 1) ●

The problem of the KVR modules is that sometimes does not work, if you are in the United States, one of the most interesting options is Crucial 1.35v - 1.5V DDR3 memory dual voltage

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/compatible-upgrade-for//Pavilion-dv7-4171us

  • Pavilion dv2700tv: memory upgrade

BTW, my Pavilion dv2700tv processor is core 2 duo Intel 9300 2.5 mhz, 6 MB of L2 cache.

    Can I place DDR2 DDR3 memory?

    Thank you

    Pogostyx

    Hello:

    Unfortunately, you can not.

DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 memory run on different voltages and are cross with each other.

The notches are cut in different places to prevent people to install the wrong chip in a PC which would result in damage to the strip of memory, motherboard of the PC, or both.

  • I'm losing configuration when I turned off my Cisco 857 router

I bought the new router Cisco 857 of the shop. Router must have been used before as I couln can't go inside with name of user and password default cisco/cisco.

Well I followed digital and reset the password for the user name and password. Now I have finally connected to Cisco CP express on my IE browser.

I discovered that someone was using a router in the shop that's why I countries: ' t log in to him in the first place. In any case the problem is that when I changed my configuration and applies the settings he remembers until I turned off. When I turn on again he remembers all the parameters of this shop.

He returned everything back: IP address, former account to level 15 and password - just like after the password reset.

I tried again and he again lost the settings. So I found instructions:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/HW/routers/ps233/products_tech_note09186a00800a65a5.shtml

I followed it and changed once again all the settings of the router. My settings are still lost after the power on/off. I noticed that when I do everything first bit it shows

0x2102 not 0x2142 like they think that is password reset mode.

Here is my output from Hyper Terminal:

Please help me as I am stuck and can't go any further....

    Hi Dragan,

After you run the wizard Cisco CP Express, it should save the configuration set to update the flash on the router.  However, in your case, it seems this is not the case.  Therefore:

    1. Configure the device via Cisco CP Express--> do NOT turn off after that
    2. Connect to the router with Hyperterminal.  Enter the configuration mode by typing:
      Enable
When you are prompted for a password to put in.  The line should now be router #.

      now type:

      write memory

      You see errors?  Otherwise, type:
      See the startup-config

Check the output matches the configuration you've tried.  If Yes, then you are good to go.  If this is not the case, let us know all the errors you received.

  • Option not available in Configuration Professional v2 performance routing

I get a router Cisco 2901 put in place and tries to load balancing/link aggregation and/or failover for my double WAN connections. Being new Cisco's IOS software, I'd rather do my setup using the specialist graphic Configuration interface.  If I understand correctly, the option of routing Performance will help me set up but I don't have this option, available in professional Configuration; any ideas? I downloaded the latest version of CP (version 2) I think; I've been reviewing on the article often referenced on this feature to: Cisco Routing of Performance and reviewed the Cisco Feature Navigator available on http://www.cisco.com/go/cfn for my release IOS; the feature I'm looking for is documented in a flash to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_configuration_professional/scrcst/PfR/CCPPFR.swf (screenshot below) presentation:

A summary of key results of the command show version 'IOS' on this router are:
