CONFIGURATION of E-MAIL YAHOO blackBerry Q5

I don't seem to be able to set up my email on the Q5 yahoo.com account. I tried the advanced settings but keept getting an error of IMAP server. Did some reading on the web and found that other operating systems have too had a problem with the server IMAP from Yahoo. However, their forums have found a way out of this problem.

Any ideas...?

Please ignore this message; the problem is elsewhere and has been resolved... excuses...

  • Configuration of e-mail from blackBerry Smartphones?

Hey. I just my new Curve 8900 after that I gave up my old one. I have problems setting up emails on this subject.

On my old handset simply, you went to the configuration of email in your e-mail address and password and the whallah! But when I go to the Setup email there now an option "I want to use a professional email with Blackberry Enterprise Server account."

What is the Blackberry Enterprise Server? and how do I set up email for my personal e-mail with hotmail account?

    Kind regards

    Liam.

Scrap that, I have it solved.

  • Configuration of E-mail Yahoo (connection problem) resolved

I have this chalked it up to a bug in the Yahoo email setup application:

You cannot configure a Yahoo email account (using the yahoo option to add a new account) on WiFi. I have suspected this, but finally tried overboard. As soon as he finishes the installation, a nice popup appears who says "you cannot use email accounts free yahoo via wifi.

It would be nice if this popup appears when the account was created - "disable wifi" or "you have no data connection.

I hope it helps someone else.

Will make the question - answer next time thing. I wasn't sure if I could answer my own question or not. Regarding related topics - I guess I couldn't find anything directly related. The Cliq has a specific yahoo icon and Setup Wizard is different then the droid - not the question which need a longer account, just no mention anywhere on it does not not on UNTIL you complete wireless.

Still finding my way around search functions too.

Thanks for the tips, I'll use them in the future.

    Hello

How to set up email on my blackberry? I read a few pages of help, and it seems that you must have a configuration email button and I don't have that.

Also, I downloaded the facebook app and everytime I try to have on it, an error message is displayed. Help!

Laura, read my post above... "please call your operator. "it's your ISP that you pay money for the phone's SIM card.

Yes, it will cost money. They will be able to tell the exact cost. You must have the service that includes data of BlackBerry.

    Good luck.

  • Configuration of e-mail on need help Urgent 9700 blackBerry Smartphones

I have a 9700 new (not refurbished). When I go to configure my email that I am presented with just one option "I want to use a work with a BES email account" I don't want all my email accounts are based on the web Gmail and yahoo etc. but this icon is missing from my home screen. Has anyone on this forum has bought a new unlocked 9700 and configure an e-mail account, if yes, how did you do?

My carrier (in Austria Telering) dose currently provides no Blackberry phones.

The email setup option is controlled by the service books.  The service books are sent by your operator.  If your carrier does not support BlackBerry services (i.e. sell BlackBerry data plans... who, if they do not sell BlackBerry phones probably, they do not sell plans) then you are out of luck for email on your device.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) books of forwarding Service

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • Running Win Vista Business 32-bit SP2: how to configure it to use Yahoo to IE8 rather than Windows Live mail webmail?

I was not able to find all the options that allow me to associate IE8 of Yahoo Web Mail, such as when a web site tries to invoke the windows associated with e-mail client to send an email, it opens Yahoo mail.

I was able to get to the point where he would not try to open Outlook more - but now it opens a web version of microsoft mail (I think that Windows Live mail).  It doesn't seem to be a way to associate even the URL web mail Yahoo with IE8.

    Any thoughts?

Windows Live Mail is a desktop client, not Webmail.

  • My e-mail Yahoo stopped appearing in one of the unified folders in which they should appear.

My e-mail Yahoo stopped appearing in one of the unified folders in which they should appear. The mails are downloaded and available if I search under the Yahoo account but are not part of the unified list. I have repaired all folders and compacted all records to try to fix this without a bit of luck. I use Thunderbird with lightning 2.6.6 24.6.0 calendar and sorting records 1.1 manually add ons. Everything worked fine for several weeks and arrested the week without significant change. Manually, I download and install the updates and only updates (Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1) system have been Windows Defender (definition files) and as a result of security Norton (also the definition files). Yahoo is configured as an IMAP account. I hope that I have provided all the information you need to help. I really prefer to use folders unified if possible. I also tried the following by a similar thread.

Menu (Alt + H) help > troubleshooting information
    Click the display folder.
    Close Thunderbird
    Open the mail folder
Open the folder of boxes smart mailbox
Delete the inbox and inbox.msf files
    Restart Thunderbird.

    This did not help.

Thank you for the help and so fast. I checked for the option "Match all messages" and found that it set correctly. I also noticed a line reading 'Some files to search' next to a radio "Select..." button "I clicked on the button"choose... ". "and found that the check box next to the Yahoo Inbox was empty, I checked it. Problem solved. I appreciate the help you provided. I'm not sure I would have found the answer if you don't direct me in the right direction.

  • Connect my e-mail yahoo for Outlook Express for Windows XP

I followed the instructions in the wizard, but when I start Outlook, it evokes a box that says: "enter network password". In this box, it lists my server as being: pop.mail.yahoo.com. It then lists my user name (which is OK for yahoo), then he asks for my network password. I get my yahoo password, and nothing happens. He brings just to the top of the same box, as if my password is not their looking for. Also, when I try to send a piece of mail, it does not send in FACT, but it puts in the 'Outbox '. When I go to close Outlook, he asks me if I really want to close it, because I have letters in my Outbox.

Thanks in advance for your comments!

We are talking about Outlook or Outlook Express? You mention both.

If it's a US or CA, Yahoo account, and that you are not subscribed to Yahoo Mail Plus, then you cannot access the account in Outlook Express.

  • E-mail settings blackBerry Smartphones Send for smartphone via service messages?

    Nice day

Is it possible to send email to a blackberry phone settings via a form of service for the user to phone message doesn't have to configure it manually?

We recently had to reinstall our Exchange Server and are now having to modify the e-mail settings on all our employees members of the phone, however, some of these members of staff are not in the same city that I.T. support and that the staff are not very literate computer/smartphone members, it will be difficult for us to guide them on how to change the e-mail settings especially if Autodiscover does not report the settings correctly on the phone and domain/server settings must be entered manually.

A member of staff in particular, has a Blackberry curve 9300.

Any suggestion will be appreciated as we would prefer, as well as in the future, be able to update phones with the necissary through a form parameters any service message rather than error prone manual intervention.

    Concerning

    André T. Dreyer

OK... so the answer is, well, maybe. It will require compromises your safety ethic.

A way of doing what you want to connect in the BIS users account on their Web of BIS carrier site and configure the email account it... the fact, of course, would require you to know the credentials of BIS users. Of course, that would also require that the carrier does have such a site... not all do.

Another way would ring up the carrier users the identity of the user and the carrier agent to configure the e-mail account.

If the employer provides the user devices such as service plan, then I guess the compromise of security required is lower because, technically, two belong to the company, not the user. But, if what are BYOD devices and/or the carrier account does she belong to the employer, then you'd be in essence hack on behalf of users to achieve.

    Good luck!

  • Problems of mail to blackBerry Smartphones

I recently revieved a new Blackberry Curve 8520 and immediately started going through the Setup process. However, I came across two strange issues when you attempt to get my set-up email accounts.

The first problem is simply that mailboxes are not appearing on the BlackBerry at all. However, the configuration of e-mail claims that emails have been implemented correctly.

The second problem is that I get the following message if poster every time I press on the 'Composer E-mail' button (and perhaps others): "no message services configured. You will be able to save the draft. »

What can I do to fix these problems?

EDIT: Nevermind, fixed the problem with a ridiculously complicated method.

    Great!

  • Can what iCloud password I use to configure my e-mail client?  I get an authentication error.

While trying to set up my email client (non-Apple) to receive and send an email to my iCloud account, I get an authentication error when using my AppleID password.

I tried to reset my AppleID password, but the password is always a failure when you try to configure my e-mail client.  I even called Apple Support today where they told me that the iCloud email password should be in sync with the AppleID password since the iCloud email is simply an alias for it.  After 25 minutes, they told me that I must use just the Apple Mail client instead.

I finally found the solution tonight when looking through the manage your site Apple ID.  You must create a password App specific to your e-mail client:

    1. go to https://appleid.apple.com/account/home
    2. Sign in with your ID AppleID and password
    3. Once the page is loaded, click on the link 'Edit' in the Security section
    4. You should now see a section for App specific passwords
    5. Click the "generate Password... »
    6. Enter a name (I used my name to email client - Unibox)
    7. Click on create

Apple will generate a password you will use when you set up your email client.  Use this new password instead of your AppleID password.
