Configuration of ODI use Installation of Fusion Middleware OBIA 11.1.1.7.1

Hello

I try to install 11.1.1.7.1 OBIA in Windows 2008.

All right, upgraded weblogic to 10.3.6

When I run the following command create the portfolio files.

The command used:

embedded c:\Middleware\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\install\createJPSArtifactsODI.py - ADMIN_USER

_Name weblogic - DOMAIN_HOSTNAME localhost - DOMAIN_PORT 7001 - DOMAIN_HOME_

PATH c:\Middleware\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain

The error:

Request:

Spent a lot of time in troubleshooting, I have rebuilt the image from scratch, reinstalled. Still the same error at this stage. I'm not able to go forward on this step.

If the problem is not resolved, could you please give another way of "ODI of configuration to use Fusion Middleware"

Thank you in advance.

Praveen - Alamuru

has got the problem solved

Change the contents of C:\Middleware\utils\config\10.3\setHomeDirs.cmd

From:

Set MW_HOME = @ MW_HOME

FOR %% i in ('% MW_HOME %') SET MW_HOME = %% ~ FSI

Set WL_HOME = @ WL_HOME

FOR %% i in ('% WL_HOME %') SET WL_HOME = %% ~ FSI

TO

Set MW_HOME = % MW_HOME %

FOR %% i in ('% MW_HOME %') SET MW_HOME = %% ~ FSI

Set WL_HOME = % WL_HOME %

FOR %% i in ('% WL_HOME %') SET WL_HOME = %% ~ FSI

Rerun the script patch to set the variables correctly

CD c:\Middleware\Oracle_BI1\biapps\tools\bin

Perl APPLY_PATCHES.pl apply_patches_import.txt

Then go to

c:\Middleware\Oracle_BI1\common\bin\

Run the following command

WLST.cmd embedded c:\Middleware\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\install\createJPSArtifactsODI.py - ADMIN_USER_NAME - DOMAIN_HOSTNAME ibmdemo - DOMAIN_PORT 7001 weblogic - DOMAIN_HOME_PATH c:\Middleware\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain

Hope this helps

I m install OAM. I installed Weblogic and the MRI suite. When I start the Oracle Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard, I expect to see an alternative to choose to create a new domain or use an existing one. Im not seeing this and rather Im getting a text information of General information. When I click Next I get only the alternative to configure OIM OAM not or any other component.

    No idea why this is?

    Hello Stefan,

Where you start the config.sh from? It must be run from $MW_HOME/oracle_common/bin/config.sh

You can then select either a new domain or extend an existing domain, where you can select Oracle Access Management.

Please help me how to solve this problem.

    Kind regards

    Atif Zafar

    As Salamu Asalam are Atef,

During the installation of weblogic server (WLS), home of Middleware is created.  My dough to this mistake, it's that you does not have the correct version of weblogic FIRST before installing the forms and reports. Then, u MUST specify THE SAME directory Middleware where wls is created after a successful installation.

For more details, pls, review the steps http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E38115_01/doc.111210/e23960/install.htm#FRINS252

Thanks in advance for your answers.

WebLogic 12 c is not certified with forms & reports 11.1.2.2.

You need to install the earlier version 10.3 (10.3.6).

    Dear all,

I installed oracle fusion middleware forms & services ofm_frmrpts_win_11.1.2.1.0_64_disk1_1of1 report.

generator of form is there, but the Report Builder is not there? Why? where is the generator of reports?

    Kind regards.

    Hi Maahjoor,

Try from Report Builder using the rwbuilder.bat in the directory % ORACLE_INSTANCE%\config\reports\bin\.

If you still have questions to
    (a) save the file rwbuilder.bat to %ORACLE_INSTANCE%\config\reports\bin\
    (b) now change file rwbuilder.bat the file % ORACLE_HOME%\bin\rwbuilder.bat, by manually hard code the correct paths for:

    $$Instance.directory$$\config\reports\bin\reports.bat
    $$Instance.oracle_home$$\bin\rwbuilder.exe

In other words, if your instance is C:\Oracle\Middleware\as_inst1, then change the rwbuilder.bat to take into account:
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\as_inst1\config\reports\bin\reports.bat
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\as_inst1\bin\rwbuilder.exe

    (c) and then re-run the file updated the rwbuilder.bat to the % ORACLE_INSTANCE%\config\reports\bin\.

If it still does not work...
Follow these metalink 2 ID, they will be useful

First of all, try to execute config.cmd from common Oracle (rather than Weblogic tools)...

    %MIDDLEWARE_HOME%\oracle_common\common\bin\config.cmd

If it does not, then you probably have a problem installing... Please note that SOA Suite 11.1.1.7 requires Weblogic 10.3.6...

When I try to install RCU, on the page where the details of the database are to give, after giving all the details, I get an error message saying "the selected Oracle database is not configured to use the AL32UTF8 character set. Oracle strongly recommends the use the AL32UTF8 character defined for databases that support Oracle Fusion Middleware". Documentation Oracle said ignore this error would be to continue the installation without any further problems, but my installation was getting arrested after ignore him. Now, I tried to change the character set, but an error pops up saying "the new character set should be a super set of the existing character set". However, I read on a forum that says AL32UTF8 and UTF8 are identical and therefore tried to change the UTF8 character set and changed it. Now, I retried RCU installation but just the same error and ignoring the error Stops again. In configuration of FMW, during database Configuration Type stage, getting a hit on "Get RCU Configuration" allows only once to the new measures, so plant UCR became necessary.

How can I get rid of the error of character set or how to change the character set to the AL32UTF8 required?

We had the problem, decided to remove the database and re - create.  This thread may help: Oracle11g: how to change character value AL32UTF8?

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware control

After installing SOA Suite 11.1.1.4, I can use Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware control.
If I install just stand-alone weblogic 10.3.5, where can I download Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware control 11.1.1.4/5?

Not Enterprise Manager 11 g Grid Control Release 1 (11.1.0.1.0) is equal to Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware control?

You must run the installation program of the Dev Runtime App on top of an installation of WLS. According to the blog, it seems that you also need the creation of repository (RCU), utility that creates a database schema. I don't know the proper documentation explains all of the minimum requirements.

This is a blog about JDeveloper and JDeveloper is not mandatory.

  • Become Oracle fusion middleware DBA

    Hello

I want to know how to become a fusion middleware dba currently I work as oracle apps dba.

    Concerning

Each new component with the suite Oracle e-business has fusion middleware components involved. What I mean is that all the new components have weblogic as an underlying application server.

Look in your architecture e-business suite and see if there are components that are already running on weblogic or can be migrated to a weblogic platform. It will be a good starting point to understand the basis of fusion middleware with installation, connection etc.

you use grid control. Just the right amount of fusion middleware components to keep up-to-date with the latest patches and involved, etc. giving a lot of fusion middleware overview u.

All this can slowly help u become a reasonable expert in fusion middleware.

  • What editions of Oracle 11 g R2 database support Fusion Middleware?

I would like to create a database instance (s) and install a development environment (which will include reports like APEX and JDeveloper 11 g and Oracle 11 g), on my laptop. The laptop has a processor I5-2520. The establishment is for learning purposes, and I'm not afraid to have bought a license, if it is necessary. My laptop can be installed with an appropriate operating system, if one is suggested. There are currently, Windows 7 Professional 64.

    My questions are:

    (1) can be set on my laptop a development environment?
    (2) what editions of Oracle 11 g R2 (SE1, SE, EE, EP, XE) database to support Fusion Middleware for the development tools listed above?
    (3) does anyone know of a document detailing the steps of the installation of the DB to the installation of the tools of development as well as the configuration steps?

Just need a point in the right direction. Any input would be welcome.

    Thank you!

  • If I configure the weblogic using staticport.ini, do I need to use it when I start nodemanager and weblogic.

If I configure the weblogic using staticport.ini, do I need to use it when I start nodemanager and weblogic. If so, what would the command.

    Hello

As far as I know, you only use this file during installation only. Then the values of ports configured in the file will be used by the Setup program to configure port appropriate for each component values. These port values would be stored in the files of each component configuration, so ultimately, you won't need to staticport.ini after a successful installation.

  • Components of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11 g R2 necessary

    Hi all
We are running Oracle Application server 10 g for applications developed using Oracle Forms/Reports and Oracle Portal.

We intend to migrate to the new version of Oracle Fusion Middleware 11 g R2 possible on a new server.

Can you please get listed Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g R2 components/products I have to install to run Oracle Forms/Reports and Oracle Portal applications?

I would appreciate if you could list the versions of these products and the sequence that I need to install.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Hello William,.

I'm afraid I can't say much forms/States with third-party identity management products. If I'm right (others please correct if I am wrong), SSO in forms and reports is via the mod_osso protected URL. So I guess that any product management identities which includes features URL protection, would be able to provide Single Sign-On.

Portal will be your bottleneck however as portal relies on the OID and Oracle produced Single Sign-On. Until December 2012, Application Server 10 g as Single Sign-On could be used. Currently, OAM 11.1.1.5 is preferred while 11.1.2 is currently be certified for Oracle Portal 11.1.1.6. It is impossible that I'm afraid.

My recommendation would be to check if you really need Oracle Portal as this will determine if you need to always keep OAM as identity management solution. Also, check with the Oracle License Department, FMW11g could come up with a license restricted in OAM 11g, you won't have a full license.

    Thank you
    EJ
