  Not necessarily; in fact, you can run the Oracle database commands using pass (local) connections. You would of course be connected to the operating system where it is installed your Oracle database to establish local connections without using tnsnames.

  SINCE the release of v$.

  It will produce output like:

  The Group of numbers by the end of the 1st line (11.2.0.2.0 above) is the most important part.

  I doubt that there are big differences how PL/SQL performs. For example, a difference is that the oracle XE will only use one processor and no more. In addition, it is wrong to say that a regular edition of Oracle uses more resources. You can also have a regular instance small and sexy with 256 M SGA works well on your PC.

  Your best approximation is CREATE TYPE, but their is nothing of what is a 100% adjustment.

  For example, if you create a domain with a check constraint you need to implement than separately on each table.

  You can set this parameter by itself, but it won't do anything: there will be no parallel server launched, no running in parallel. I don't think that change was the reason why the performance of your DB has changed.

  There is no "grid Infrastructure 11gR 3 Enterprise edition and Standard Edition", is the only Infrastructure of grid 11 GR 2.
