I have a general question, LabWindows CVI 2009 I library RS-232...

If I want to work with RS-422 devices, is this the same duties and the same configuration?

Or there is another library file or service...?

It's pretty much all the same.

RS-422 / RS-485 supports not some signals, rs-232, such that RI, DTR, CD, etc., so wouldn't apply the corresponding functionality in the library of rs - 232.  You open, set up, close, read, write the port in the same way.

Similarly, if you have a virtual com for a serial link that is implemented as USB or CameraLink, for example port, you use the same library of CVI "rs-232.

'library of rs - 232' is a little inappropriate, NOR perhaps should call the series "library".  The driver OR underlying is the 'serial driver.

  • The FP-RLY-422 wiring module

    I have a question to hang a power supply to terminals V and C of the FP-RLY-422. I have a fan which is 120VAC and .9A, in order to get the relay to pass this charge, I need to connect a power supply to terminals V and C and if so where can I get this power of.

    As it is right now I'm able to take the v a Terminal C of the FP-1601 and hook for the V and C the relay Module, the power supply for the FP-1601 is 24VDC so I leave the principle that it must be a 120VAC to power 120 VAC fan unless the relay is capable of converting somehow.

    To confirm: the fan you have requires 120 VAC and .9A and is powered currently not at all, is that correct?

    If so, then you're right, the provision of the 1601 will not suffice. The relay does not convert power at all, you will need external power for your fan. If you look at page 3 of the FP-RLY-422 manual here you can see if your total current is less than 5a, you can use a power supply connected to the V and C, otherwise if your current is higher than 5 you must use configuration B (a source of power for each channel).

  • FieldPoint configuration file

    Recently, I transfer my Labview file to a new computer. My set up has the following features, FP-1000F P-RTD-122 and FP - RLY-422. I installed the latest driver of the Fieldpoint, however, when I try to run my file. It says "cannot locate the file of Configuration Fieldpoint" iak.  . I tried to find my devices using MAX, but I couldn't. I am new to Labview, I was using an exsisting implemented. It worked fine until a few days ago.   I started having problems when I start to use the new computer.

    can someone suggest a way more to come my problem. How do I create a configuration file?

    In the previous configuration, it is possible that the channel names have been changed to something else.  So instead of something like Channel 0, you may have renamed to TempOil, (for example)?

    What is the name of the tag that is used to read from FP in any part of your code is causing the error?  If it matches a valid name in MAX.   You may need to rename the channel in the area of data to the MAX to match.  Even if you do not, it may be a good idea to go through your label constants or controls and rebrowse to the channels again.

    Number of items requested is bytes or kilobytes. This is the number of items and the number of bytes will be based on the data type you choose. So, if your dma holds I32s and you choose 8 elements, it will be 32 bytes. Knowing this, you should be able to determine how many items you need. It also depends on the RT controller you have. The faster you can remove components of the FIFO, the number fewer items to keep.

  • SMU-8431/8 RS-422 serial card sends the wrong number of bits

    I use a card series SMU-8431/8 RS-422 configuration for talking to a camera that has the speed of transmission parameters following 38400, 7 data bits, 1 stop bit, odd parity. I confirmed that the device certainly has these settings I can communicate with him using a separate Linux PC.

    When I try to use the serial port of EITHER the device does not react. Then, I connected the serial port OR on my Linux PC to see which sent the port NO. It is garbage. Nonprinting characters, control commands and the other characters are converted (for example I send the ascii character '1' and get the ascii character 'a').

    I made sure to add the terminating resistor 120 ohm NI RX + RX-lines and as mentioned in other posts on these forums, but it is only for the reception and did not solve the problem.

    I put a scope on the TX + and TX-lines from the map OR track seems reasonable that sent bits is correctly 38400 and voltage levels are correct moving between +/-3V. What I've noticed, is that the map series, NEITHER seems to be send to the 11 data bits. I expect 10-bit (1 start bit, 7 data, 1 parity, and 1 stop). I changed to 8 and then 6 bits of data and the total number sent passes to 12, then 10, respectively.

    I get the same behavior if I use Labview screws, Panel VISA for the port of MAX, or to remove the software NOR entirely and use Hyperterminal. This would seem to indicate that the problem is something in the settings of low level on the card itself.

    I tried a second SMU-8431/8 card and the same results, this isn't a fault map (may be two defective cards, I guess!).

    Any ideas?

    Discovered it was: used a scope to view the track both the Linux PC and the serial port OR to compare. The trace OR was significantly longer than the Linux. When I measured the width of the track OR whole, it worked to have a frequency of about 33 000, or much less that the 38400 assigned him. I was getting the wrong characters every bit of data from the port because NEITHER was out of sync with the Linux PC.

    I increased the port baud rate NOR and found that setting in 45 000 made it align correctly the Linux PC and I now the communication between the two devices.

    For the record, I don't have the terminating resistor 120 ohm or the anchor line to be included in the cable series between ports OR and Linux.

    He's hit 422 network operations and Miss at best. We decided to use their equipment to convert RS232 RS422 but only use an intrument on each 422 network. So we didn't need mark of unity, we use a serial port, separate for each instrument. I just configured to run in default mode on several occasions where they send their status message. The default mode also transmits all three (if you use patterns 3-axis) for the playback speed.

    When operating in this mode and configuration, everything I have to do is surround data and analyze the updated.

    I'm not sure how you will provide coherence - jcache.jar mvn.  To address your concern that JCache is absent from your download

    I check works market, the first documented example JCache.

    I downloaded the installation of autonomous consistency of the url that you referenced and used the graphical installer to install consistency.

    With jdk 6 and jdk8, I confirmed that the JCache example http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/coherence/develop-applications/jcache_example.htm#COHDG5789

    working in the vats of coherence downloaded.

    Here is the relevant components in coherence - jcache.jar.

    It sounds like a question that we should already have set by which the parent pom com.oracle.maven:oracle - common: 12.1.3 - 0 - artifact 0:pom has the extension of car-ahc Sonatype configured (we did our test in early retirement with this car).  I just looked at the https://www.oracle.com/content/secure/maven/content/com/oracle/maven/oracle-common/12.1.3-0-0/oracle-common-12.1.3-0-0.pom

    and have verified that the extension pulling in the wagon-ahc is not there.  I am very interested to understand what is pulling in an extension of the wagon-ahc and remove for you get the appropriate wagon-http wagon.  Feel free to contact me privately so that I can get more information from you.  My email address is robert patrick at oracle dot com dot

    Please note that FMW 12.1.3 out initially using Maven 3.0.5.  While most of the plugins works without using Maven 3.2.5, changes you might encounter problems with a few plugins because of the disruptive changes made in Maven 3.1.0 when they passed their implementation of Ether starting from Sonatype to eclipse (which broke a lot of existing Maven plugins).

  • Tips to add a VPN router to my current network configuration

    Dear all

    My apologies if the answer to this question already exists, however, I searched in many situations and none seem to match what I'm after.

    I currently have an ISP modem/router in Bridge mode connected to a TC of Apple which is my wireless router, I have 2 Express airport connected to this acting as the extensors of the range.  I have a VPN service through the MyPrivate network I activate on the desired device when required and everything works fine.

    What I want to do now is to be able to use my AppleTV and burning Amazon via the VPN as well so you need to add a VPN router in the configuration.  I want to finish with 2 wireless networks running together for these devices who need VPN and those who are not.  I don't want to lose the opportunity to extend the network to express it however airport.

    If someone could explain to me if this is possible and if so how do I set up the network.

    Basically you would need a device that supports VPN-passthrough and VLANS for your goals of networking. MyPrivate network, seems to be a VPN SSL, which is a user-server configuration. In other words, you install a client VPN on your Mac and you connect to the VPN network MyPrivate server to establish a VPN tunnel.

    Networking two or more "separated", should be using a router that supports VLAN services. Each segment of VIRTUAL local area network, in essence, would be a separate, she either wired or wireless network or a combination of both. This would probably be the 'easiest' part for the installation program.

    Now how combining the two would be the question, and I don't know what would be the best way, or even if it is possible.

    A few thoughts:

    • Use a router that supports VLANS. Create at least two VIRTUAL LAN segments. One for Apple TV & Burns, one for Internet access in general. Connect the device to VPN client host on the first segment, and configure for Internet sharing.
    • Download a dedicated VPN network application that supports hosting of third-party VPN clients, like yours. You would still need a router that supports VLAN to provided separate network segments.
    • Hire a consultant network. Let them know what you the goals of networking and ask them to offer potential solutions.
