• Authenticate AD then internally store with the same username?

  I know it sounds easy at first sight, but I'm having a nightmare of a time to find a way to make it work.  Our engineers have been used for OUR old ACS 3.2 method where an account was either authenticated against the store internal users or Wwindows AD and you want to duplicate this feature with our new ACS 5.3 configuration.  I fully realize that the two models are not yet close to being similar between these two versions, but I still wonder.

  This is the crux of the problem.  If you have an account jsmith in the internal user with a password store, and also a jsmith in AD with a different password then the system can't manage accounts with the same name when it comes to passwords.

  I have a sequence of internal store configuration to authenticate to AD then the local database.  The problem is that if the user puts the password of the user of internal store ACS server sees that the user exists in AD, but that the password was incorrect and authentication fails.

  Bottom line is that I need a kind of logic that said try to authenticate to AD first with this user name and password and in case of failure instead of end it try to authenticate to the internal store using the given username and password.

  Appreciate any help on this.

  There is a problem with the same username in the two database, like ACS will never try to search for the user in the second database because it will always find in the first database no matter what it is.

  You can create rules based on IP device, location of NDG, Type indicating that if authentication comes from a specific basis for the use of specific device.

  Incase of database RSA to option to consider the password invalid not found user, but it is not available for the AD database.

  Possible reason could be ssl handshake failure... can you post here the complete trace of ssl handshake.

  I'm working on a successful political VINE of the test databases. I think that is what Oracle recommends to go forward.

  One of our enviornment product runs on 4 node RAC cluster (11g) and we use partitioning/Application Isolation.

  1 to 3 knots: are used for the OLTP workload by using services

  Node 4: is used for batch jobs/reports

  We request for Isolation/segregation has helped to stabilize the RAC environment and we could avoid the famous CARS/Cluster waiting for questions.

  While gong through documentation, I understand that we have only 2 options when configuring services with Pool. It can be UNIFORM or SINGLETON. I understand the server pools help a lot and make life easy for DBA (and that's why we have initiative to test)

  but I couldn't know if the partitioning Application can be reached.

  With Singleton services - we are not sure on which service instance will run. We cannot set specific settings for instance, which promotes the batch jobs/Heavy Reporting (great PGA may be increased multi block / County, if it is automatic and there could be several parameters).

  And we cannot define same service that suppose to run on a subset of the Cluster, for example:-OLTP service that runs on 3 nodes.

  Please help me clarify my doubts.

  I do not understand your question, it looks pretty we would apply.

  For example, if you want your service to run at three knots, OLTP problem: create a pool OLTP, place the four inside servers and specify min = 1 max = 3. Then create a second pool called lot, new place all four inside servers and specify min = 1 max = 1. Assign the database for two pools, and the services of a pool each, as uniform.

  I have been using political management databases for many years and considered flexible enough. I never understood reluctance of others to use it.

  Its seems you have configured your VMS with NFS data warehouses, as the RDM are only available for VMFS volumes, if you use the local then HA data store will not work, you must present one of the volumes in all the host ESX VMFS and specify a data at the RDM LUN configuration store.

  Yes its possible, you can create a RAID1 more with your new 2x4T discs. There is no restriction on the creation of disk virtual RAID1 or any other RAID level. You can create a virtual RAID level multiple tilmes, until you reach MAX Virtual disk configuration.

• How to configure automation with Apple TV, Homekit and Hue

  I have what I believe should be a viable home automation installation: a new brand (4th generation, Sept. 16) Apple TV, a hub of hue with the support of Homekit and seven lights attached via the hub.  The lights appear in the home iPad app and can be enabled or disabled here.  I can also do things with Siri on the Apple TV as "turn one room family", and have the appropriate lights.  Thus, it seems that everything works.

  BUT: when I go to the tab "Automation" in the app iPad Home, all I get is a page telling me that I should get an Apple TV to put in place of the automated activities - there is no way to actually DO something.  Am I missing something obvious?  I do this also?  Don't forget that I can control the lights in the House on the iPad, so they certainly know each other...  Thank you!

  We are having a problem with our Mac and Linux / CentOS machines constantly having to be re-attached to our AD domain.
  We are able to join machines to the domain successfully, but after a few weeks or if authentication is broken and we again join them to the domain.
  I see Security event logs on our domain controller when kerberos authentication fails.
  On the linux server - I see this message in the logs
  -binding failed: server not found in the kerberos database.

  I'm guessing this has to do with Server 2008 R2 and incompatible mac / linux versions.

  Any ideas?
