Configure a current clamp

Hello

I have a current clamp for model fluke 80i-110 s I need to acquire an analog signal.

I have a NOR-BNC-2111 interface hanging in a PXI 6289 data acquisition card.

I checked that my current clamp is out 100 mv / ampere of current

I used the DAQ LabViews Wizard to configure a channel and I don't seem to be getting the expected response of the data acquisition card.

My input voltage channel is configured as shown below

I'm reading an entry of tension between 09:50 V using a Mode of Acquisition 1 sample (on request).  I cycled through all Terminal configurations available but none of them seem to be save with precision input voltage.

Is there something that I am missing on this channel configuration?  When I tried to create a channel to the registration system in collaboration with common voltage X Y plots seem to diverge from each other.

Hello smoothdurban,

Since your current clamp is output 100mV/A, he currently works as a resistance of 100 m Ohm (R = V / I = 100mV/1 a = 100mOhm).  So my suggestion would be to create a current input analog task in your DAQ Assistant, set your resistance of shunt on 100 m and your minimum and maximum flow. This way you would be directly save the current.

  • How can I configure the current snapshot using VIX?

    Hi all

I'm looking for a way to programmatically set the current snapshot of a virtual machine. I need it to be able to create snapshots programmatically to arbitrary locations in the snapshot tree. All I could find was the GetCurrentSnapshot function, but miss me something like SetCurrentSnapshot. Is it possible to somehow?

    Thanks in advance!

RevertToSnapshot is the only way to put the current snapshot.

Please think in terms of disks of the difference. The virtual machine starts with no snapshots and a set of disks. When you create a snapshot, freeze you the existing disks and create a set of disks of difference to save the changes to the file system. If you create a new snapshot, this difference drives are frozen, a new set is created for the virtual machine. The current snapshot is what is asociated with the last series of discs "frozen."

You "set up the current snapshot" to throw the latest together drives of the difference, and affecting the VM disks to point to the disks associated with the snapshot provided. This is done by calling RevertToSnapshot.

  • How to configure SCC-Ci20 ISP with SCC-68

I'm trying to measure a current analog signal using scc-ci20 scc-68 and pci-6221.

I used the scc-68 for analog measurement signal voltage using analog terminals, so the scc - 68 and pci-6221 are well configured.

    What I did:

I added the scc-ci20 "measure and explore automated" under the scc - 68, CSC - mod 1

In the software labview in the DAQ assistant, I added a new channel for current measurement and physical channels appearing were "aio, ai1' which is the channel of the Terminal screw 1 Module and not of the scc-ci20 terminal block.

Also, I connect to the meaning of the Al to Al GND.

I don't know, if the DIF in how to configure the current module or how I connect the resistance to the Terminal Board and the scc-68 port.

    Hi Egptos,

The SCC-CI20 channels are grouped in a differential measurement that is able to fill two separate loops, so the ai0 ai1 and. AI0 is the bundling of channels 1 and 2 on the module, who complete a circuit, and ai1 represents channels 3 and 4 that complement a second loop. The resistance of shunt used by the module to take the current measure is incorporated in the module.

  • Try to configure Windows XP Pro and Vista Home Premium to connect wireless to a field internal.

Hello. I recently graduated from a COMPUTER course that was very intense, but I don't think that it covered all the basics for me quite challenge the MCSA exams. In order for me to do, I bought a bunch of MS Press books covering ISA Server, Server 2003, Exchange, etc. My journey made us buy copies of Server 2003 and XP Professional, so that we can continue to practice at home.

One of the things I wanted to do has been implemented a network in my home, using the software I have (not about to try 2008, although I think that one of the books I ordered comes with a version of a test - but it is in a game for the MSITP exams).

This is how I currently have my network configuration. Currently, everything is wireless. I have 1 spare computer that I use as DC with active driectory.

Currently I have a router D-Link DIR 655 (located in the basement) which acts as a gateway to the internet server and dhcp on my network and WPA2-PSK encryption use.

I have a laptop with Windows XP Pro top (that I gave to my wife - old laptop I have baught strictly for the course, I took), and it is completely wireless. It is located on the ground floor.

I have an office (located on the 2nd floor) using Vista Home Premium 64-bit. It's wireless.

There is also a network of printers laser color next to the router in the basement, connected via an ethernet cable.

On the main floor is also my Wii, which connects wireless.

So, as you can see, it's a mixture of differnet devices connected through my router.  I have the Wii or the printer to connect to the domain specifically. The printer must be accessible to computers on the domain, but the wii should just be able to connect to the internet via the router.

The spare box I have kicking around, I put 2003 on server and install active directory. I will also implement via this network storage server. I would like to put up to control the accounts of users of my wife and myself and that it uses roaming profiles.

This works very well when it connects directly through, but how to configure something like this works wirelessly? I read something on another forum in which is setting up a wireless bootstrap, to authenticate against a Radius Server, and then log in to the domain. However I don't have the money to spend to get ISA Server.  The server will be basically be there just to provide roaming profiles and to store things out of our systems, incase we have problems with one of our computers. We could set up something for our own internal e-mail in the future, but since we live in the same House, it seems rather useless at the moment lol maybe set something in the future to let the other note or purchase or to do list. But for now, just want to configure what initially appears to be a single domain with roaming profiles.

Everyone has tried to do that? Connection of the wireless networks in a field, with a router provides the address and gateway?

    Carlo

  • VCPU appropriate Configuration

    Hi guys,.

I'm new to VM configurations is currently considering options for the deployment of the VM.

On a CPU (8 cores on each) 2 physical server (total of 16 cores, 32 with HT), which vCPU configurations are allowed?

for example can I create 8 vCPUs with 4 virtual cores on each due to Hyper Threading? Or the fact that I have just 2 physical CPU limit us?

Also about the add feature Hot CPU, if I create a virtual machine with for example 1 vCPU with 4 virtual cores, can I add additional core 4 vCPUs while the machine is running at a later stage? Also with this function it then would allow me to keep adding untial of vCPU all 32 hearts have been exhausted?

Thanks a lot for the clarification of these issues.

    Best regards

On a physical server on the (8 cores on each) 2 CPU (16 cores in total, 32 with HT)...

Without HT you will have 16 LCPUs and with HT technology, you'll have 32 LCPUs

When you create the VM, you will be able to add up to (with HT) 32 vCPU with a single VM in all combinations, such as 8 Virtual Sockets and 4 cores per socket or sockets virtual 4 and 8 cores per socket or... etc

About the CPU hot pluggable, as a guest within the VM is happy, activate this feature and use.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Windows cannot be used to install and configure the current version of the AirPort Extreme. You will need a Mac running a current or recent operating system or an iPhone or iPad to configure and administer the AirPort Extreme.

Of the product from Apple on the AirPort Extreme:

Once you have created the new AirPort Extreme and operating a PC should be able to connect to the network generated by the airport wireless.

  • Issue of Mac Mini 2014 SSD

I'm not too familiar with the configuration of current storage of the Mac Mini. If the reader of the merger is not a true merger but combines a PCIe m2 with a HARD drive. However, I would like to know if buy you one that comes with a PCIe SSD out of the factory, will there still be a SATA port to add a spare hard drive?

Yes, the logic board of 2014 has two connections. One for the PCIe and the other for a 2.5 "HDD or SSD.

    See > https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Mac_Mini_Late_2014

If I had to shine up to a 2014, I'd go with the Fusion model.

    Why, because

    1. the only model of HARD drive won't have a PCIe cable and support.

    2. the single PCIe model won't have a SATA cable, and maybe not a disc tray.

  • How to avoid the popup of proxy credentials?

Lately, the authentication proxy dialog box keeps popping up every now and then. It's incredibly boring: even if my credentials are stored, I still click OK, sometimes several times before I can move forward view of the Web site. Sometimes, the dialog box for a Web site on a different tab (background) appears and bothers me looking at another Web site.

    My configuration is:
Currently, I use Firefox 31.0 on openSUSE 13.1
I have a proxy cntlm in place and set it as my system proxy (http_proxy and KDE proxy settings) to the http://localhost:3128 which works fine in other applications.
I tried to use two parameters in FF: "Use system proxy settings" and "Manual proxy configuration".
I tried both checking and unchecking "do not ask for authentication if the password is saved"
I tried a suggestion on the web, by setting signon.autologin.proxy to true.
I tried a few proxy addon who promised to solve the problem.

None of them worked in the prevention of this incredibly annoying poppin proxy authentication dialog box g upwards (even if sometimes it * seemed * have not so long ago (it was after doing the on: change config above)).

I remember many times on this machine when it didn't happen, but I can't remember what I changed it's now broken (it was probably some update FF?).

Please, help me! I am lost and it is my FF very uncomfortable to use.
I need some suggestions on how to configure FF in a way that * should * work, i.e. combinations of the parameters I mentioned higher, or other, I have not considered yet.

localhost isn't in my list of proxies and it has been there for some time during which I saw this question.

However, I finally seem to have managed to get rid of this problem - yay!

Despair, I tried the option 'automatically detect the proxy for this network settings' (which I * think * I had tried in the past, but it did not work then) and I checked "do not ask for authentication if the password is saved" with the result of no longer be bothered with cropping up (seemingly random) proxy authentication dialog boxes!

I don't know why the Manual proxy and the proxy of the system use show that behavior, but I'm happy that I can use Firefox still intact today.

I plan to refresh my RN102 after sabotaging the snapshot files. It has two 1 TB drives in a RAiD1 configuration and currently has 20 GB of space. I could not easily tell how much of that was held less than a year of snapshots so I tried to remove them manually by allowing instant access, and then enter the sharing with a Windows PC and by deleting the oldest snapshot files. Needless to say this has mixed results. My free space has not changed, and snapshots always appear in the timeline of the RN102. (Yes, I'm a noob NAS.)

I am considering a vertical expansion by replacing the disks 1 to with 3TBs (current sweetspot for $/GB on red WD.) I have two drives external usb 1 TB I use to alternate backups that I will also switch to 3 TB.

    (1) is it likely to back up the current configuration of the RN102, restore the default settings, replace the disks with 3 TB units, restore the configuration saved in the RN102, then copy saved files for actions on the 102 refreshed in place?

    (2) would it clean up the mess I made out the clichés (I don't mind losing the 'old')? I disabled snapshots on all stocks for the moment until I make this move.

    (3) is there a kind of Moore's law that size _and_ file number will double every year? ;-)

It would have been preferable to delete snapshots of the web user interface.

Yes, but also to uninstall all apps that you installed before saving the configuration. In addition, reinstall them after you restore the configuration.

    Yes.

All data is growing faster than Moore's law. Although this means not yours must of course.

  • How to use Labview to control the motorized turntable?

    Hello

I am new to Labview and do a project that requires the use of labview to control the motorized turntable (XYZ axes). I need to use the Labview programming and have no idea at all. Need help, thank you very much!

    Lei,

Everything said by others is correct and to do because they describe, at a given time. But I always approached these projects of motion control first by looking at the 'motion controller' (I hope you have a) and 'drivers' (what you need) between the computer/LabVIEW and engines decide what communications will be required for these devices and get an idea of the syntax of command and the language to use with them.  In some cases, the controller and the motor driver are integrated in a single unit. Heck, in some cases, they are even integrated with each engine.

The motors can be the stepper motors or perhaps servomotors.

In the case of drivers stepper (devices that provide power electronics to run the engines), many of them are run using only two control signals for digital called 'step' (a pulse train) and 'direction' (high-low level) and if it is possible to generate directly with the PC, it's an order of magnitude easier (if you have not already a library of available motion control to manage the generation of these signals and) the execution of the stepper motors) of having a "Motion Controller" between the PC and the "motor".  Engine drivers step by step usually can be configured that current engine and the size of the stage and sometimes for the other plus-moteur/driver-parameter setting. The configuration of these can be made with jumpers, switches or, for some drivers, with orders ASCII on some sort of port of communication, but in general these are values you download the installer once at the beginning and then never touch again if you do not need generally to have a full time available on their change communication path.

In the case of the actuator drivers (once again the devices that provide power electronics to run the engines), many use a +/-10V control input analog signal, and, again, while it is possible to generate the signal directly with the PC hardware, a separate axes controller is usually much simpler and more robust.  In the case of a servo system, there is also a signal back to an encoder or resolver attached to the engine to be used by any device will exercise the motion controller in the system.  There are once again associated with the driver configuration parameters (and controller in this case, since it is part of the servo feedback loop) which must be configured at the start but once set up properly, they rarely need to be changed again.

A movement controller which is separated from the PC often manage several drivers, and can often coordinate a movement between them. It will load the rise up/down of the engine speed as that changes. It will be followed by position of each motor. The servo system, but it will take the feedback signal and use it to adjust the speed/position/torque of the engine. The motion controller also deal with race and home or index of signals is usually on most lines of movement and provide information of the State of the switch to the PC.   To run the motor controller is then just a matter of chaining a set commands of (usually ASCII) to indicate how fast to run and how far to go (and direction) and by sending a command "do it." Then, ask you to keep track of the status of the process and the States of the switches.

In many cases the builders of controllers of movement are a primitive way to communicate with the controllers of a PC with no additional software other than what they offer. With this you can at least have an idea of how different the controller commands and responses they produce. That you can start to build sequences of commands to perform the actions you want.

You can then add LabVIEW to the mix and to understand how you can get it to send sequences of similar orders on the paths of communication that are available and respond intelligently to the information it receives in return for motion control.

  • Updates the window appear when shutting down, but do not set up the next time you start

The display shows 15 updates of Windows are loaded (installed?) when the machine is stopped.  To restart Windows, the screen indicates "wait" while the updates are being configured.  The icon indicates that the configuration is current, but the screen always said that "0% are completed.  Then, after a few minutes, the screen indicates something as "installation failed; Revenant.  After the message 'return', the machine moves to the usual Windows 7 start page and asking to connect you as usual (which allows me to work on the machine).   So, the next time I shut down Windows, the screen indicates that the installation of several updates continues and is completed in series.  Then, the next time I turn on the machine it asks to wait while updates are configured;  and finally, it "fails to complete the configuration" and "resets" as described above.  What happened several times in the last two days.  What should I do to get this resolved failure?

    Hi BonnieDoon,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive error message during the update by installing the process?

    Method 1

See the Microsoft article below as well as try the steps mentioned and check if it works.

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista and Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/949358

    Method 2

Restart the computer after you follow the steps above and check if the problem persists, if the problem persists then checks the update is not being properly installed on the computer and then install it manually.

View update history to know which update is not installing.

    (a) open Windows Update by clicking Start , all programsand then click Windows Update.

    (b) in the left pane, click view update history.

    (c) to view more information about an update, double-click it.

Once you know the update's KB number then visit the Microsoft Download and put the number in the search box, download and install the update manually.
