  Photoshop CC wants to open the trial version (mac), even if I paid 1 year ago. Don't know what to do. Apparently from what I've read, needs PS CC 10.9 or higher, but I'm only 10.8.5. Maybe I got the update last week not knowing this problem existed.

  Do I have to update my computer (it is old) macbook pro mid-2010 or can I go back to the old version of the CC. At this point I don't know what version I have because it does not open. I need help please. Also my Lightroom won't open files PS 5 or CC. I guess it's all related? PS5, however, will open on its own. LR has opened a file in PS5 and then no longer opens. I quit and restarted but the same thing happened. Arrived the other day too.

  Yes, Terry, I think that your friend has not updated 6 CS PS to the latest version.

  I finally managed to install the Extension Builder 2.1.

  I followed the advice in this forum topic http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1245836

  and manually installed Flash Builder 4.6 front.

  The first attempt failed. After cleaning the registry for items 'Extension Builder', the installation successful.

  Builder extension is displayed as an advantage both the Adobe Solution Partner Program and the program for developers Adobe Enterprise. If you are not a member, I suggest to contact Roger Risdal ([email protected]) learn more about membership.

  These programs also include Flash Builder (Premium) as an advantage at all levels.  So if you are a member of one of these programs, get you Adobe Flash Builder (Premium) and Adobe Extension Builder (as well as a whole bunch of other things).

  If you haven't done so already, take a look at the Freely available CS SDK - you can create with the free Flex SDK - or Flash Builder extensions (although, of course, you will not get some of the tooling of the accelerator Extension Builder provides).

  I can see the extension to windows-> extension, but if I click on it, it cannot be opened.

  This sounds like maybe the extension is not duly signed by the developer. How did you install it?

  Have you tried to install it with the ZXP aescripts Installer? You can download it here:

  It automatically handles issues of this kind.

Able to search for and select the file .exe but app does not appear on the list of default programs. Able to open jpg and png files from within the application only. Able to open from the desktop .psd files.

  Hi cfhart,

  If please close Photoshop and navigate to the location in Photoshop.exe (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2015.5 of CC) and rename Photoshop.exe Photoshop CC 2015.5.exe.

  Once that is done, try to select Photoshop as the default program.

• Photoshop CS6 will not open the file image (.jpg, .dng and .cr2)

  I recently reinstalled my laptop (64-bit) Windows 7 Pro. It has all the necessary Windows updates.

  I installed Photoshop CS6 (64 and 32-bit) and I've installed all the updates it needs.

  It will not open any JPG or RAW, .tif, .jpg, .dng and .cr2 files. Before you reinstall Windows Photoshop worked well.

  When I try to open an image file that Photoshop does not open, so the file type is associated with Photoshop, but that's all. The software is running, but it won't open the jpg or tif, and it does not open Camera Raw to display the RAW file.

  If I double-click on a new image, then a new instance of Photoshop is open, in addition to the already open instance, but still no picture.

  If I click file-open and navigate to the file it will then open in Photoshop and Camera Raw 9.1.1 and the picture shows successfully.

  Strange!

  The only thing I think currently, is that I have 2 partitions on the laptop, with C: and a D: readers, with the users folder, which is held on D. Photoshop is confused by there? Well it is exactly how the laptop has always been in place, and it was already defined in this way before Photoshop has been installed.

  I tried to uninstall and reinstall. I tried to install just Photoshop 64 Bit, not 32 bit (I don't really know why I get the two offered, to be honest.)

  I am now lost and would like to receive helpful suggestions!

  I "solved" this problem!

  It seems that Photoshop won't open these files from a Windows 7 'Library' that points to a redirected folder.

  However, if I create a mapped drive with a drive letter local, the actual path of the files, (for example \\Server\FolderRedirections\Michael\Pictures), then it works OK.

  It is a good work-round and it makes no difference to me if I use a mapped drive or library I put just one correct, in the section 'Favorites' from Windows Explorer.

  Thanks for the suggestions guys, that helped me a lot. I hope this answer helps someone else, even if my situation may not be a common scenario.

• Why is photoshop not letting me open the files?

  Hi, I've had 3 different people to support try and solve this problem, but none has.  For some reason, photoshop has decided to limit the amount of files that I can open it. Sometimes it's just one, sometimes it allows me to open another but especially it happens just with "could not complete your request because of a program error." Anyone else having the same problem? It's really annoying. Support has tried many things including reinstalling the application, change the permissions and deletion of the brushes that I had downloaded.  I use an imac 10.10.2.

  I use Photoshop CS1 on my Mac Pro running 10.5.7.  When I click an image called an Adobe Photoshop (jpeg or tiff) image, Photoshop opens, but the image does not work.  I realize that CS1 was not designed for an Intel Mac and I plan to upgrade to CS4 in the near future, but is it possible to put Photoshop CS1 to open the image when I click on the image?
