  You can force quit the Mail app by using the keyboard shortcut leave force command + Option + ESC.

  I have a client who wants to LabVIEW to close the HyperTerminal Application automatically is the serial port open.

  It is easy to detect that the serial port is already in use.  I already have a popup that tells the operator to close any application communication because the port is already in use; However, they want to do it automatically.

  HyperTerminal is not taken support ActiveX, and they will not go to the version more professional who does.

  • It depends on what kind of work you do.
  • You can get rid of Photoshop elements 11, but I think you should keep the other application where you need it.
  • Adobe Bridge is the kind of an organizer.
  • The extension manager is used to install plugins adobe or third, but 4 CS is old enough, the most recent version is CC

  I think you can get rid of them, once you make sure you don't need those for your work.

• Cannot close the CS5 Applications

  Someone has any ideas why does not close CS5 applications? InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop not close never leave him. They sit for a few minutes, and then finally to return an error message that they unexpectedly. Acrobat, Distiller and bridge all seem to close fine. Running CS5 on several new iMacs running 10.7.2. These computers have been cloned from a main computer set up to our specifications and the applications seem to close ok on this computer, so I'm suspecting some kind of permissions issue that doesn't allow no applications to write to some files when they close. I checked the permissions on the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe and Adobe preferences in ~/Library/preferences. I also checked the permissions on the folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe and my user has read/write access at all. Anyone know anywhere else to check or seen this behavior before?

  So he turn out to be a problem of permissions, but even after creating a new user, I always had the same problem.

  I had checked the permissions on all the folders mentioned in my original post, but I did read using the Finder information. After doing some research on another problem that I had, I found myself using Terminal Server to change the permissions and that seemed to do the trick.

  The folder that I had to change was the folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe. This isn't one of your user folder, but the main folder of the library.

  Using Terminal, I used the following to change the permissions on this folder.

  CD /Library/ "Application Support".

  sudo chmod-r 0777 Adobe

  This changed the permissions of read/write for all users on all of the subfolders and files in the Adobe folder.

  After that our applications Adobe closed on exit.

  Hope this can help someone else.

  I am getting an Adobe Application Manager in 'Please close the following applications to continue - ShelllExtLoader '.   I read in the forum where there is the possibility to download manually by selecting 'download replacing '.   I don't see that option anywhere.  Help.  If not, how can I get the app to download?
