The process of connecting Macbook was a blink of an eye without any problem. I also get Windows XP wireless connection properties back to default (WEP), because it will not hold personal WPA2 settings, but even if it contains personal WPA2 security settings it does not connect. I was also able to connect the Toshiba with the ethernet cable, without going through the wireless network.

  I had actually just this solved tonight with about 2 hours of chat with Linksys. It turns out the Windows SP3 XP Toshiba doesn't have a true WPA2 - Personal encryption, only the WPA - PSK (pre-shared Key), while the Macbook Pro has WPA2 Personal. The whole system runs on a hexadecimal code 63. I got the router located on only WPA2 Personal. When I changed (manual) WPA/WPA2/joint, then I had two computers on the network. But then came another problem, when I connected with the Macbook, Toshiba has lost its connection with an error message - "IP address conflict with another system on the network. That proved to be the setting of the channel on the network. The channel was not sync from the old Linksys router configuration. Changed to channel 11 on the router to synchronize with the Macbook Pro and that has been resolved. There is no option for channels on the Toshiba that I can find.
