Connect to Oracle greeted the workspace APEX
What the method (i.e. good tnsnames entry or whatnot) to connect to Oracle, greeted the workspace APEX?I prefer to use a standalone IDE to develop objects db that an application uses and am trying development APEX 4 on a hosted apex.oracle.com workspace. I can't find documentation on how to connect to one of them hosted cases, however.
Thank you
James
Hello
If I understand correctly, do not connect apex.oracle.com server SQL net port and use some SQL client.
Only available option is to use the Apex generator

How to create the workspace APEX on cloud
Hi, we have recently installed oracle in the cloud database. can someone help the creation of workspace on the cloud.
Thank you.
NomanHaq-OC,
The Service of Cloud Oracle database includes an Oracle Application Express workspace
Assuming that you are Cloud database Service customer to access the APEX of your service is described in the documentation of cloud - https://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/dbcs_dbaas/CSDBI/GUID-61727FB9-01EB-45CA-AAB2-ED0A7CD57DAD.htm#CSDBI3448

Where is Apex 4.26 on the workspace?
Deal all,
I recently signed up for the Apex Oracle workspace free. It showed version 4.26.
So I bought a book 'beginning Oracle Application Express 4.2'. I studied the
book and doing the exercises on the Oracle workspace. Now, the workspace is Apex version 5.0.
Now, it is difficult based on the book. I would like to download apex 4.26 so that I can handle this version using the
book, I bought.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Do you speak apex.oracle.com?
If so, it is recently upgraded to version 5.0 of the APEX. If you want to work on APEX 4.2, you must host APEX Instance of your own by installing it on your PC/laptop.
Installable are available at: Oracle Application Express - downloads
I hope this helps!

Cannot connect to the workspace
Hello
I am completely new to apex so please be gentle with me.
I just installed 3.2 apex and set up a workspace of human resources. However I cannot connect to the workspace of human resources unless I first connect as an administrator.
If I connect with the following url: -.
http://localhost: 8080/apex
He takes me to the admin login screen, not the connection of the workspace.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Nick.Nick
I had a similar problem (it quite some time but may not be the answer!). It's to do with the browser cache.
To fix it I deleted the cache, /apex and bookmark navigated. Then I navigated to the apex/apex_admin and bookmark that. After that, I have more the problem. Don't know if this will help you, let know us.
See you soon

Where the images of the workspace are stored at the Apex 4.2
Hi guys,.
I downloaded images on the apex by selecting the workspace Image downloading. Now I want to export all images so that I do not need to download them all again in case something happens to my machine and I should be able to import all the images in one click/command in the new installation of. But I don't know where the pictures of the workspace are stored. Are images stored on the local file system or in the database? If in the database then the schema that I need to export and I will be able to import all the images in the exported file? In the case of OS file system and which directory (full path) he holds?
Thanks and greetings

Images that you download via Shared component-> files-> Images
get downloaded in the WWV_FLOW_FILES.
You can query on WWV_FLOW_FILES to see your downloaded files.
select id, flow_id, name, filename, title, mime_type, doc_size, dad_charset, created_by, created_on, updated_by, updated_on, last_updated, content_type, language, description, file_type, file_charset from wwv_flow_files;
Include all your images and files in your application using the supporting function of the object, so whenever wen you export your application at this time, your images and your include files also get exported with the application.
1. go to your Application -> support objects component shared icon before
Installation -> Install Scripts ->, click Create button -> to Create Scripts for install files (under tasks) under
According to this, you will get a list of all the CSS, image and static files to downloaded in your application, select the checkbox of the files you want to include in the export file.
2. application -> support-> tab objects export
Include definitions of object support in export - Yes
Also see this Doc online: export an Application and related files and Application Deployment
Hope this helps you,

Problem connecting to oracle database to jsp using the Apache Tomcat 8.0 Server pages
Well... I tried too many things... google so many times... but still not found solution to my problem.
I use windows 8 Enterprise Edition (if this has to do something with the problem)
Oracle 11.2.0

JDK 1.7
My oracle is installed in D: drive and tomcat in c:. I copied the file ojdbc6.jar of oracle to the lib directory of the tomcat server.
Then I put the CLASSPATH in the environment under "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 8.0\lib\ojdbc6.jar" variables in the system variables
My path variable is defined as "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_02\bin".
My program is in Notepad:

String pwd="moon";
conn=DriverManager.getConnection(dbURL,userId,pwd);
st=conn.createStatement();

while(rs.next())
{
System.out.println(rs.getString(1)+""+rs.getString(2));
}

> ODBC driver manager... Data source name not found
This seems to be looking for a DSN (data set name) ODBC drivers. If she wants a DSN, DSN must be specified in the code, and the DSN must be configured in windows host ODBC applet. It is therefore at least two squirrels to get in the tree on the right before going forward. A... host:... [port:] SID | name of the service are a few necessary bits in a jdbc connection string, and is in no way related to DSN. A whole different Animal. If she wants a DSN that could be what it takes to go to URL bit.
And ODBC configurations can be confusing, especially if an x 64 operating system is the mix - if this is the case there are two different ODBC configuration cmdlets, one for x 64 for x 86, and if one gets as much as to talk to a real database he could launch a mistake of the architecture. Only way to solve this 'problem' is * delete * the ODBC DSN and then run the correct config utility (maybe the x 86) ODBC and set up the DSN. Once again.

Able to connect to the workspace, even without access users.
Hi all
We are working on Hyperion 11.1.2.1. We have configured our MSAD for logon authentication. Strangely, few of our AD users can able to connect to the workspace (of course they can see and access anything be it inside) do not have access to all of the Hyperion products. They are not part of a group or that you have not any provision for access. My question is: is every user able to connect in the workspace, AD even if they are not provided?
Please let me know.
Take a look at the workspace setting the 'Role of connection', more info - required more to life than that...: EAS 11.1.2 session timeout and space work of advice

This isn't how you use LDAP for Oracle name resolution.
You must configure the LDAP protocol. ORA and SQLNET. ORA files properly.
For example, you can review the LDAP protocol. Documentation of ORA here:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/network.112/e10835/LDAP.htm#i500397
And the SQLNET. Documentation of ORA here:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/network.112/e10835/SQLNET.htm#i500318
A quick search on the terms "example of oracle ldap.ora", shot to the top of several examples.
Also, if these are real values that you posted in your example of a connection string, you can change.

I changed the name of the computer, now I can not connect to Oracle SQL Developer
Hello my friends!
Everything worked perfectly until I needed to change the name of the computer and now I can no longer connect in Oracle SQL Developer 3.1.
I restarted Oracle 11 g by stopping and restarting. The order message said stop and start successfully. This tells me Oracle 11 g Express is running, but I can no longer
connect to Oracle SQL Developer 3.1.
How can I fix?
Thank you all!J man,
I'm not a pro at Oracle XE, but I would say that this is not a problem of SQL * Developer, but the listener of OracleXE.
Now, I'm in total guessing game mode:
find the "listener.ora" file in your Oracle installation (from [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17781_01/server.112/e18804/network.htm#ADMQS168] this document is c:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\NETWORK\ADMIN\listener.ora
I'm sure that it is coded in the old hostname, simply replace it with the new host name.
Restart your receiver and please try to connect again.HTH,
Berx -
The connection has failed in planning, workspace
Hello
A few times we are unable to connect and when I see, then I found shared services has stopped and we cannot restart because I tried twice.
The error message "You must provide a valid user name and password to log in the system" when you connect to the workspace.
Any suggestion?Usually, the openldap db is corrupted if it was not properly off as a server crash or the process crashed.
It is not uncommon so he can get corrupt, at least they have finally got rid of it in version 11.1.2See you soon

11 GR 1 material Oracle BPM - customizing the workspace
Documentation of BPM to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_worklist.htm#CIHEAFBC describe how to add views to your BPM workspace or how to change the columns that appear in the list page tasks Inbox BPM workspace. In addition, it describes how you can use your payload to find jobs or add to the content of the payload as a column in a view (using Flex fields). But it is possible to use some content of payload in a column in the Inbox task list without creating a new view, I mean the columns in the Inbox of the default editing Page list work?To my knowledge, you cannot customize default Inbox currently in the 11g workspace.
According to me, that the intention is that the default view displays all of the human tasks for the current user, not just those for a business process. Since it puts all the tasks of process, payloads are likely to vary considerably. Therefore, you cannot guarantee that the payload of a task within the same process will be the same as another human task in this process, not to mention the many human tasks of different processes.
Custom views are necessary to expose the specific data case on usage in the workspace UI.
