  I have a script that uses a model to generate code. So far, I have a refnum in an array of doubles (the default type of the table in the model). Now, I need to change the types of elements in the array. I tried the 'set' vi in utilities VariantDataType table, but does not. How can I do this?

• Build an array of values of the difference

  Dear members,

  With reference to the attached LabVIEW 2010 Student Edition file...

  From the incoming data via the .csv "Reading of the spreadsheet", I want to display a picture of the difference between the n and n-1 data value if the data set is 10, 20, 25, 35, 50, then the difference will be 10, 5, 10, 15.

  I used the "Index Array" function to extract the n and n - 1 values (using the function 'Simulation' as the incrementer line index) however I can't find the way to build an array of these difference values and display them in the façade, which is

  10

  5

  10

  15

  It will probably be a trivial problem for more experienced LabVIEW programmers.  Advice or assistance is welcome.

  Since you have 1 column of 800 lines, then use table to Index first to get only the first column.  This will give you a table 1 d of 800 items.  Then the idea to use this table, as well as the subset of the table for the 2nd through the remaining lines, subtract one from the other, work.

  I can't comment on the simulation loops because I don't have that and never used.

  I'm currently editing a labview VI that uses the function 'building the table '.  I want to delete one of the elements of the environment, but so far I've been able to remove items from the upper or lower part.  Since there are a lot of elements involved, and I want to delete is right in the Middle, I'd rather not release all the items below and then repeat the installation electric them a line.  Y at - it a button to remove an intermediate element that I can't find?

  First remove the unwanted wire.  Now right-click on the connection opened on the Bay to build.  There is an option on 'remove entry '.

  Thank you Adam, it's originally in a while loop, I placed it in a loop for example, wired County in the for loop and presto, this son of a digital indicator. It works very well. Thanks for the help folks.

  I use OPA version 12.1.1 (November 2015 edition of cloud).

  When I try to debug my OPA project I get this error:

  "An unexpected build error has occurred: index was outside the bounds of the array.

  Does anyone of you understand what that means?

  What language / region is your project?

  You are able to apply for service with the support of Oracle?  This error usually requires the investigation of the project to determine the root cause.

  I don't know if this is the right forum to post this problem, but here goes.

  I've been developing an application using Flex Builder 3. Today, I met a strange problem. When I use a table variable in an Actionscript class, the compiler detects more errors against the class definition. I have only encountur this behavior with the Array class. Other classes of higher level, seem to work. F.i. I can insert the following text in a function:

  var a: Array = [1, 2, 3];

  var i: a.Len;

  After construction, I get no error. When I run the application, the variable I is set to 0.

  I tried to clean up the existing project. I created a new project in flex from scratch. The problem remains.

  I did not have any updates lately, f.i. flash player, java,... the development environment has not changed as far as I know.

  Can someone give some advice about this problem? Thank you.

  The table is a dynamic class, as an object, which means that it is perfeclty happy to return values for properties that have never put. These values will be "undefined", which, when converted to an integer, turn into 0. This is the kind of unfortunate behavior, but there is no way to get around.

• How can I write time to build the table in just a few seconds?

  I am able to use "elapsed time" to send a time stamp to "build the table" using the output of 'elapsed time to text.  But after 59 seconds, it gives then a minute.  In the excel file, it is as follows:

  0 00:00:59

  0 00:01:00

  0 00:01:01

  I want to continue to 60, 61 seconds and so fourth.  When I try to connect to an another Subvi, it gives me a connection error.  Any help would be greatly appreciated?

  I guess that's the Express VI, you can use the output of the time elapsed (s) instead of the number of seconds passed.  If you want a string, use the Format String VI, or build an array of DBL to add to the rest of your data.

  I used 'arrayelem' reference property and property node connected to it but got no strings [] in the selection.

• Type a table defined clusters to hold configuration data - definition of default values for each element of the array

  I was wondering if I could get some information and opinions on the use of an array of type defined clusters to store configuration data.  I am creating a program to test several EHR and wanted to have a control of type defined for each HAD with the information needed to create the DAQmx tasks for all signals for it must HAVE.  I am eager to do so that the data are encoded in hard and not in a file that the user might spoil.

  Controls of type def are then put into a Subvi who chooses as appropriate, one based on the enumeration of Type DUT connected to a case structure.

  I have problems with the control of the defined type.  I see issues when you try to save a configuration unique to each element of the array in the array of clusters.  Somehow, it worked at first, but now by clicking on "Operations on the data--> default font of the current value ' on individual elements of the cluster or the entire cluster (array element) does not save data when I re - open the command def.  What I am doing wrong?  I'm trying to do something with the berries of the clusters that I shouldn't do?

  I enclose one of the defined reference type controls.  I tried to change it bare to see if that helped, but no luck.

  To reproduce, change the resource string for the element 0 of the array and do the new value by default.  Then close the def of type, and then reopen it.  The old value is always present in this element.  The VI is saved in LabVIEW 2012.

  The values of a typedef are not proprigated to the instances of the control. They get if created WHEN data values have changed. They will be not updated with the changes to come. You must create a VI specifically to hardcode your values or to implement a file based initialization. The base file would be much better and more flexible. If you don't want users to change the data simply encryption. There is a wedding blowfish library that you can download.

• Changing the properties of the individual elements in the array

  In the attached VI, I have a table 1 d of the slider ('Phase Coefficients') controls where each element of the array represents the coefficient in a polynomial of arbitrary order. The problem I have is that the range of slider, I put to the coefficient of the lowest order (element 0 of the array) becomes quickly impossible for one more order coefficients (> 5 elements). Small changes in the highest order coefficients dramtically change the global polynomial.  I want each element/slider to have its own line, but I know that's not strictly possible that each element of a table shares the same properties. I've implemented a work around (use boolean to activate) in which the range of all cursors is set according to which the item is viewed, but my implementation prevents the modification of the range during execution of the VI. Is it possible to adapt my method (or use another method all together) in order to allow different, editable for each slider element ranges?

  Each element of an array must have the same properties.  They can only differ in value.

  You can have an array of clusters, and each group can have the slider control.  Here, you will be able to regroup a slider with different properties in the cluster build clusters in a table.

  I have an array of large 2by2, and I do a lot of travel such as the removal of the top row and add the data to rank the lowest. The size of the array never changes, but I manipulate the data a bit.

  My question is: how Labview manages this manipulation? Is this just smart enough to manipulate pointers rather than copy the values over and over again?

  I'm looking at the interface with the dll, and it would seem that Labview for a 2by2 arry have only a pointer to all the numbers such that the number is simply distributed over a block of memory. Is Labview all done with any size chart? Just store in a large part?

  Yes to the most, "depends on" the rest of your questions.

  Operators of memory "inplace" you will work within a single buffer. Some of the normal array operators will do the same (replace the subset of table for example). Build table, no.

  Try to use "tools > profile > buffer Allocations... Show.

  To see where you have additional buffers in your code.

  BTW: The process using «Show the buffer...» "and then rewrite to eliminate is sometimes called"Chase points ".

• How to case statement based on the array of values of 3 or more?

  I'm trying to figure out how to do a comparison or case structure... based on the creation of an array of boolean 3 (or maybe more).

  I have a table (it's from a serial connection, and I am conversion back to a table to work with) [t, F, F] in this case I would like to display on a status indicator "STBY".

  If the array is defined on [F, T, F] I want to display in this indicator "ON".

  If the array is defined on [F, F, T] I want to display in this "EMPTY" indicator

  I can not understand how to compare combinations of things... I read in an array of bytes, and the first 3 bits in this example, determine what to display in a status... I can't figure out how to do with structure case... or without some channels to research and/or bad comparison...

  Any suggestions?

  You can use search 1 d array and find the first real.

  Or you could convert the table of Boolean integer U8 and integer that results to determine which cases to run.  (4, vs, vs 1-2)
