  I agree that the traffic is going through the same data channel between the HH and the edge of the carrier network.   Hello all, I am very new to Blackberry and have had my Tour for a few days now.  Before the tour, I had only a single smartphone and it was a Palm Treo with Windows Mobile.  So far, I enjoy Blackberry but has a few issues that I did not come again in other threads.  First of all, I am trying to view the log of the phone calls and the user guide returns me to the application 'phone', but I can't find anywhere in any of the folders/menus.  Second, my Palm has allowed me to keep SMS messages in the form of conversation, but I have not seen an option for this on the Tour.  Have I just not found it yet or isn't it possible?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  The call log is not visible.  all you do is press the green button once and the call log will appear.

  Hi there, 5 days ago I downloaded the latest update for bb messenger. I restarted the phone because he asked and when he had restored my app world was gone.

  Now that my mini rant is over, let's get your App World on your phone.  First, go to your list of Applications.  Subsequently found the home screen options > device > application management.  Locate the application, highlight it with your mouse, press the menu key and select Remove.

  Then connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Once your phone has been recognized, click device at the top of the software and then restore or update (either one will work).  Choose the most recent restore point if you choose restore or click on view other Versions, if you chose the update.  With both methods, choose the most recent and the load on your phone.  This will reload App World and the icon on your phone.

  My latest lamp died with a JVM. I just replaced today and I want to retrieve my downloaded applications. After I restored the device of BlackBerry Desktop, any of my downloaded apps are there. I have a brand new 9860, together running 7.1.  I run the App World. He told me to upgrade.   I noticed that if I'm listening to music with the torch into the folster, and then I take my flashlight out of the Holster, decrease the sound of music by a barely audible level. (The same thing happens if it is out of the Holster is locked and I unlock with button lock in the top left).

  The only way I can get the volume upward is to pause and restart the music with the play button.

  Is this intentional behavior (I guess)? Can we change it somehow? I searched the options so far without success...

  There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

  One:

  • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
  • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
  • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
  • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

  Second:

  • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
  • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.
