Connection.Open () hangs

We have a Windows Server 2008R2 with the installed Oracle 64-bit client.

I have confirmed that it is functional and configured correctly by creating a test.udl and successfully test the connection.

Even if I copy the string connection of the test.udl (including user and password information) and paste it into an ASP.Net page, when I call MaConnexion. Open() page crashes.

Static pages work fine on the webserver, as do the ASP.Net pages that do NOT try to connect to a database.

I checked that everything is 64-bit (client application pool, OS, oracle).

No error is ever returned.  I tried wrappoing the MaConnexion. Open() in a try block, nothing helps.  From the browser, the page crashes just minutes and thereafter, you get the standard page cannot be displayed error.  I don't know if it's oracle or IIS or what, but I am at a loss with no seek error message, no db asp.net pages works very well and the udl test successfully.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you comment on 'MaConnexion. Open()' on the page then it crashes?

If you deliberately set a string of bad connection in the page then it crashes?

If you deliberately set an incorrect provider in the connection string name then it crashes?

I want to know whether OraOLEDB is causing this problem and if connection to the database of user10875959 causes this problem.

Good to know that your problem is solved by setting the PATH variable.

I don't know if my case has user10875959 business relationship.

In my case in the old days:

  1. IIS process charge the old value of the 'PATH '.
  2. Install Oracle changes the value of the 'PATH '.
  3. A new method of load the new value of the 'WAY' and it can connect to the database.
  4. a child process started by IIS seems to use the old value of the 'PATH' copied from IIS and it can 'not' connect to the database. The reason may be that OraOLEDB10 does not find OraOleDbPus10.dll and it shows the "invisible" error dialog box
  5. 'Reboot' force IIS to take in charge the new value of the 'PATH '.

    Hello

    I tried the simple data client and simple example of data server. I tried this example to connect to a NAS device. My laptop properly communicates with the device since I ping the address of the NAS device and discovered it works perfectly fine. Also, I put the static IP of my pc even as the NAS. So everything I've done. But when I run the program giving the ip address of a NAS device, it shows an error 63.

    What is the firewall of the SIN.

    Yes, it is very likely. Try disabling the firewall and try again. If the code works when you run the Server & client on your machine, but not when you run the server on your NAS and client on your machine (assuming you have entered the correct port for the NAS server), then it is very likely to be a firewall problem.

    vindsan wrote:

    Server that is listening is no longer VI also means what.

    Your VI server listens only once for a connection after receiving an incoming connection (or it expires after 60 years), he stops listening and the port will be more open for incoming connections - you must re - run the VI for another connection. With your code, you must run the VI server and then run the VI client in the 1960s, so it's not expire.

  • 12.1.0.2 managed Oracle data provider running significantly worse than classic ODP on Connection.Open (3 sec vs 0.2 seconds)

    Oracle managed provider has many advantages over the traditional Oracle for .net data provider.

    However, our test shows who take connection.open 3 seconds, where the classic ODP takes 0.2 seonds. Opens later against the same connection string perform the same way for the two (0.1 seconds). Subsequest opens against a new connectionstring (another basic data) take 2 seconds for the managed provider and 0.1 second for classic.

    This is not acceptable in some cases, but may be supported in others.

    Someone at - it seems a similar behavior? Any suggestions that may improve the performance of connection.open?

  • Several connections open db in a weblogic cluster

    We have created a weblogic with oracle database cluster.
    Whenever we start the cluster (managed server), there are a lot of connections open in the database (about 150 in the database). Although we have a maximum capacity of cgDataSource, cgDataSourcenoXA and wlsjmsreportDS 20. So ideally should be not more than 60 connections open at any time.
    We use 10gR 3 OSB in 64-bit Linux platform.

    The maximum capacity for a data source is by node in the cluster (if it is targeted on the cluster).

    So if you have 3 sources of data, with a maximum capacity of 20 nodes of each and two in your cluster you should have about 3 * 20 * 2 = 120 connections.

    Of course to start WebLogic creates only the number of connections specified in the initial capacity.

    Hardware environment:

    -Macbook Pro mid-2012 w/240 GB OWC SSD

    -Display the thunderbolts 27 "

    -Case of Thunderbolt external OWC with a 3 TB Western Digital hard drive and a 1.5 TB WD hard drive.

    -Macbook and OWC box both connected to Thunderbolt display

    Software environment:

    -OS X El Capitan 11.2.4 beta (15E27e)

    -Opening 3.6

    -190 GB managed Aperture library consisting of about 37 000 photos stored on the 3 TB drive

    -Small library managed on the Macbook SSD (used on the road)

    Description of the problem:

    A week ago, opening crashed while I was doing a lot of routine tasks (import, editing, cataloging). It crashed several times during each attempt to re - open until I got the warning repeated accidents indicate a problem (really?) and I need to repair the database. I did it; still crashed. I have repaired permissions. still crashed. I have rebuilt the database; still crashed. As a last resort, I created a new library and tried to perform a restore of the vault that I kept religiously updated on the 1.5 TB external harddrive, but the locked restore operation the machine about 2/3 of the way through, then, hands-free, the Macbook restarted. I have opened the new file that Aperture was trying to create during the restore operation. There was a lot of pictures that have made to the course. and many who have not.

    At this point, I thought it would be a good idea to "relocate" these photographs who survived the restoration, i.e. convert them of 'successful' to 'referenced', so that if I could never open to run again I should at least have something left. Opening crashed halfway through the relocation process. I downloaded a trial version of Capture One Pro 9 and tried to import the Aperture library, but it crashed after about 8000 pictures. In short, I don't any of my 37 000 photos in Aperture!

    Here's the really interesting part: if I run the opening using my MUCH smaller library on the internal SSD flash of the MacBook drive, it works very well and is stable. Opening worked very well with this library under this beta version of El Capitan for awhile before the question is asked. If I import all of your photo library, they all come, but I lose several books I have built or being designed and I lose my catalog structure.

    Well, it seems that there is some sort of corruption in the largest library integrated repair tools does not detect or cannot fix. Can anyone think of a way to solve this problem outside again in the Photos app?

    -OS X El Capitan 11.2.4 beta (15E27e)

    Are you El Capitan 10.11.2 Beta or Beta 10.11.4?  Your version number is somewhere between the two?

    If you run the 10.11.2 beta version of El Capitan, consider upgrading to the stable version current and most recent Mac OS x 10.11.3. Make stable version was released a few days ago.

    A week ago, opening crashed while I was doing a lot of routine tasks (import, editing, cataloging).

    What happened directly before the accidents began?  You have imported new photos?

    If you have imported some corrupt media, Aperture may crash trying to make previews. To check, try to launch the opening while holding the SHIFT key at startup. He'll get over the generation of previews.  If you can get access to the photo library of Aperture in this way, try to export and delete the photos you last import. If one of these photos is should be the source of the problems, you may be able to repair your Aperture library after you deleted these photos.

  • Database connection opened in CellRenderer?

    In my CellRenderer custom for a list, I would like to use the underlying SQLite database data. Based on some data in the comic that I want to do different things in my CellRenderer. What is the way to more effective practices or best for my SQLite database data in the motor cell renderer?

    In my main application class, I open the connection to the base, but this connection is not available in my cell renderer class. So the only thing I can think to open another connection of database in the rendering engine of cell (which I am currently in the function init() substituted cell display), but it opens a connection for each line in the list, which is obviously not very effective for memory usage (also because I can not close these connections since you do not know when to close).

    Appreciate your help.

    When you install the data provider of the list, do a search at the other table for the value of the actual color. As it could be repeated in this case, I preload the colors of the other table for research/research would be faster.

    Something like:

    mylist.addItem ({data: item.id, label: item.name, color: mydata.db.colors.Find (item.id)});

    Singleton is a 'design pattern' as "model-view-controller (MVC)" is a "design template". Methods for software architecture for greater flexibility and reuse of coding are Design Patterns (book of the same name). It helps to reduce the cost to code and maintain the software.  It is a convention to give names to some methods of coding.

    You can do a search of this forum for examples of singleton, as well as on Google.

  • Keep connection open SSL

    Hello

    I'm working on an application that uses SSL to communicate with a server. For each request that I do, I open the connection, apply, and then close the connection.

    Answering questions from earlier:

    "What is the timeout for this?"

    2 minutes

    "Can I recreate the connection after it is killed by the framework?"

    I'm not aware of a way.

    Because http is a connect, answer, send, close connection protocol, I do not think there is anything that you do on this process - perhaps try to do more on each http request?

    But this is not an area of expertise, so I'll wait for other entries.

  • Switch to SSL after connection open (i.e. STARTTLS)

    While some protocols allow you to connect directly with active SSL (incidentally "ssl: / / ' to Connector.open), others require that you first open a plain TCP socket connection, then send the command"STARTTLS", then start talking about SSL.

    I want to know is how you move from a simple StreamConnection to a SecureConnection in full flight.

    I noticed that when I open a secure connection, Connector.open instantiated actually TLS10Connection. This class has a constructor that allows her to wrap an existing StreamConnection.  However, my own experimentation has shown that I'm even not I want to instantiate directly with TLS10Connection (I tried on the Simulator).  All attempts end a kind of exception, as this class don't request to be created in order to encapsulate a StreamConnection is not yet open.

    Its so rare not to find protocols that want to connect in the clear, this initial verification capabilities, then switch to SSL mode, so it becomes a real obstacle.  While these protocols are sometimes implemented with a right-SSL port, which is often a less common implementation.

    I can't believe I have not understand that more early, but assuming you can generate code that instantiated TLS10Connection (requires the Cryptography, key signing, not sure of any legal problems exist), in fact you can do this.  It takes just a bit of cunning.

    First, you open your connection as usual:

    StreamConnection socket = ((StreamConnection) Connector.open)

    "socket: / /" + serverName + ":" + serverPort,.

    (Connector.READ_WRITE, true);
    DataInputStream entry = socket.openDataInputStream ();
    DataOutputStream output = socket.openDataOutputStream ();

    So do you whatever the Protocol I/O is necessary at the handshake with the server, questioning his abilities, etc.  Finally, you send 'STARTTLS\r\n' and I want to now change the shooting mode.  Here's how:

    TLS10Connection tlsSocket = new TLS10Connection)
    new StreamConnectionWrapper (socket, input, output),
    serverName + ":" + serverPort,.
    (true);

    entry = tlsSocket.openDataInputStream ();

    output = tlsSocket.openDataOutputStream ();

    The secret to this is StreamConnectionWrapper.  You see, if you try to create a TLS10Connection with the original StreamConnection, it will try to open the stream in/out again.  This causes break exceptions of I/O who has everything.  So, here's the very simple code in the wrapper:

    private class StreamConnectionWrapper implements {StreamConnection}
    flow of StreamConnection private;
    private DataInputStream dataInputStream.
    private DataOutputStream dataOutputStream.

    (public) StreamConnectionWrapper

    StreamConnection flow,

    DataInputStream dataInputStream,

    DataOutputStream dataOutputStream) {}
    This.Stream = stream;
    this.dataInputStream = dataInputStream;
    this.dataOutputStream = dataOutputStream;
    }

    public DataInputStream openDataInputStream() throws IOException {}
    return dataInputStream.
    }
    public InputStream openInputStream() throws IOException {}
    return dataInputStream.
    }
    public void close() throws IOException {}
    Stream.Close ();
    }
    public DataOutputStream openDataOutputStream() throws IOException {}
    dataOutputStream return;
    }
    public OutputStream openOutputStream() throws IOException {}
    dataOutputStream return;
    }
    }

    And that's all there is to it!  Seriously, I can't believe I don't think that this workaround solution years ago.

    Thanks for reporting this. There is already a bug for this issue. The Firebug error is different, but it's the same problem.

    The JavaScript error does not prevent you to connect. It should be noticed if anyone has open developer tools/Firebug window.

    But Christian said you're "JavaScript injection during the connection. I don't check myself, but it is the case that our error is preventing from running your code?

    If so you could try adding a dummy function apex.builder.initWizardProgressBar to keep the happy APEX code.

    This can work:

    apex.builder.initWizardProgressBar = function() {};

    The cmdlet Connect-VIServer of PowerCLU 4u1 leave takes supported several open sessions.

    The sessions are stored in a table called $defaultVIServers.

    If you need restore an open session, you can use the entry for this server in the array and then use the SessionId property to make this session open session / by default (which is stored in the variable $defaultVIServer).

    Something like that

    Connect-VIServer -Server VC1
    Connect-VIServer -Server VC2
    # Show the sessions and their properties
    $defaultVIServers | Select *

    # Open the session to VC1

  • Too many connections open for integration with QA Oracle WebLogic JMS

    Is there a document explaining the number of database connections required by the factories of connection and/or the queue? I configured a foreign server with destinations and connection factories to integrate with AQ JMS WebLogic. I have 16 destinations (14 lines and 2 subjects) and two plants (a XAQueueConnectionFactory and a XATopicConnectionFactory) connection configured. I have also 16 multilateral development banks, one for each destination, configured with max-beans-in free-pool value 1. Everything works fine. However, when the application server is started, I could see that there are 68 open database connections. This seems too high. When using OC4J we had max-connections set to 30 and it was working fine. Why are so many open connections?

    Battery stuck trace, the particular version of the WebLogic you use, uses the receiver of messages JMS QA for voting message and sets an ExceptionListener on JMS connection. (I think that your MDB is a non transactional MDB). The JMS AQ message sink uses a db of the query message connection and the implementation of the QA JMS ExceptionListener uses internally a db periodically ping the database connection. If your MDB uses two connections in your configuration.
