  You can connect an Ethernet cable to see if it works on Ethernet when you encounter problems easily?

  Try to use your own DNS server.  Because if the DNS server that you use currently is not translate www.company.com name to IP address nn.nn.nn.nn, it will look like you do not have internet access.

  You can remove them later if you want using the [---] button.

  If this does not work, it could mean that your router is having problems.  Most routers act as the local DNS server, make a cache and especially fair bet as a DNS server provided a front for the access provider.  If the router begins to act, it can often be cleared by power cycling the router.

  If it has started, it may be a problem with the server, although Comcast to admit that would be a feat.

  Assuming that your "mail"account is with Hotmail there is a better forum to ask for help on this subject.   In addition, 'characters' are called bosses CAPTCHA, so another way to get specific help would be to do a search on the web...

  ·          Did you the latest changes on the computer?

  The error you cite indicates that the server has the problem with your credentials, or possibly your account on the server.  It is a directed plu problem speaking with the personal support of messaging (ISP) service provider.  The credentials you entered in Outlook Express are incorrect or the e-mail server has detected a configuration issue with your mailbox.

  I have a Vista Toshiba L655-race-

  I'm able to connect to my e-mail from Xfinity/Comcast although I am still able to access my gmail, hotmail, etc.

  I defragmented, bike electric and cleaned cache. I used IE and Chrome. Scanned for Trojan or virus (clean) horses.

  I have disabled firewall, empty my DNS, and I am still unable to connect.

  A comcast tech walked me through a few ideas, but we have failed.

  Any ideas before considering hitting geeks check it for something else?

  If you access your Comcast account via webmail, and you have these problems, you may need to have someone to watch.  If you are trying to access via Windows Mail, then try to access webmail and see if it works.

  This is the mail of the window, it has been upgraded to manage Hotmail.  The error code indicates "connect to the mobile information server end." I came across this problem with Outlook Express similar years when Microsoft decided that Outlook cannot access Hotmail accounts on subscription.  Email client has no connection to Google problem.  Thank you

• prevent connection to a pop Mail account

  I have several devices, iOS, Mac OS and PC, any connection to two different e-mail accounts. I recently started each of them using IMAP, rather POP, to collect mail from servers.

  There is a certain older e-mail that my mail clients have collected over the years as accounts pop. Some of these emails are no longer on the server, so the new IMAP accounts on email clients show them.

  So when I did the new IMAP account on my mac, I let the POP accounts in place, rather than remove them. I don't want to 'turn off' old POP accounts, because I could always not wanting to search emails stored there, but I don't want to continue the collection of mail from my servers.

  How can I keep the old POP accounts in my list of accounts on the left side of my Mail app, but put to retrieve any new mail the mail server?

  While we are at it, is there a way to do this in Thunderbird for PC as well?

  Thunderbird ran an auto update yesterday. Then it just stopped working. It does not connect with the Comcast email server. An error message appears "Unable to connect" and "the connection was refused when attempting to contact live.mozilla.messaging.com. How can we get Thunderbird set, there is no tool in the toolbar to enable the debugging and correction of program errors.

  The problem solved itself, Thunderbird has just started working. I followed the thread suggested by Christ1 and found none of it applied. No malware, no browser, no certificate error security block. I did, however, in Thunderbird, under Tools/Options/General uncheck the button for "When Thunderbird launches, show the Start Page in the message box." I do know that if this helped, Thunderbird still do not access Comcast mail for hours after that, even with several stops and restarts.

• Failed to connect to the Yahoo mail account

  I'm having the following problem. The new Macbook for my wife, when I set up Yahoo mail email he accepted the password in the set up procedure, but when I pulled upward the mail in the dock button, it says the connection failed on the Yahoo account. The problem is solved by going to Preferences, select the account and then go into "Edit smtp servers. When you do that, you see that the space for the password is blank, so you put in, hey presto it works. The problem is - the next time that you connect to the post office, you are to square. I don't understand why the password is not stay there. Obvs we don't want to have to go through this rigmarole every time. Someone at - it ideas?
