Connection to the SQL Server using Windows authentication

I would use SQL Developer (v1.5) to connect to an instance of SQL Server 2005 uses windows authentication. I downloaded jtdw - 1.2.jar and set its e path as a preference in the TOOLS\Preferences Database\Third Party JDBC Driver dialog box.

I was able to connect to SQL Server 2005 successfully if I use SQL authentication and provide a user_id and password.

It is my preference to use windows for connection authentication. However, when I try to connect, I get the following error:

Failure - i/o Error: library of native SSPI is not SSO unloaded. Check the system java library path property

I have no idea what it means. I'm not a java programmer and I am very new to Oracle in general if someone can give me some guidance right ahead as to what lack me?

Thank you

After reading the thread referenced by Jim Smith (thanks!), I wanted to copy the information in this topic... and update to say that these same steps for SQLDeveloper 1.5.1 & SQL Server 2005. Don't miss step 5, if you want to enable NT authentication.

Gateway for ODBC 10 g or 11g is supported only with SQL Server, not Windows authentication authentication.

If your SQL Server is configured only for authentication on Windows, you have no other way to change the configuration of the SQL Server to support mixed Mode (Windows authentication and SQL Server authentication).

  • Connection to a SQL database with Windows authentication in a workflow?

So far, I had a lot of chance to connect to and reading SQL DBS of workflows using SQL authentication (MS SQL). What I'm trying to do now is to connect to the databases same by using Windows authentication and I'm coming up with nothing.

Someone at - it examples of correct connection URL and or the configuration tips to make this work? Can the vCO to connect using JDBC and Windows Auth at all in a workflow?

    Thank you!

    Colin J.

Certainly, the best thing to do is to use the URL JDBC workflow Builder.

It may take a little trial and error:

If your stand-alone SQL Server, is not in the field, use the server for the Domain domain name.

Field, use the domain for the domain domain

If you have an instance, specify it, otherwise leave this field blank.

  • Encrypt the connection to the SQL Server

I have a new installation of OpenManage Essentials 2.1 and have a quick question. Our database of MOE is hosted on a remote SQL Server cluster. Is it possible to configure the database connection to use encryption/SSL when connecting to the cluster? We need it for compliance with our security policy, but unfortunately the installation that the user interface does not expose this option.

If not is it possible to manually change the connection string?

Note that this is in that concerning the encryption of the SQL Server connection between HOME servers and database, not HTTPS.

    Thank you
    Andrew

    Hi André,.

OME encrypts all sensitive information before it is transferred to SQL Server.

Also, the connection to SQL Server used by OME information is encrypted and there is no option for a user to change this.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

    Hello

It is probably part of a larger battery error (if you can download the zipped file of complete log we can see if something is visible).

This is a new installation or and upgrade or displacement of FMS? What version do you use?

Have you tried to stop the foglight server, make sure that the DB is down too and then restart?

There are articles describing errors as part of a larger pile of errors.

This article KB https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL64412 talks to ip in the hosts file is not wrong

    Other articles describing similar problems:

There is an article describing a bug that has been fixed at https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL63134

Another speaks of a problem with the Storage Manager service https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL73892

With the attached log file we can see more information, I recommend also the opening of a case of pension because they can help solve the problem in a more interactive way.

    I hope this helps.

I downloaded ICUII cat worm 8, but I can't seem to connect to a chat server

    Hello

Have you been able to connect to the chat server earlier?

Step 1: Check if the program is compatible with Windows 7. You can check the compatibility of the major part of the hardware and software with Windows 7 on the following Web site.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

Step 2: I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the software and check if the problem persists. Check out the following link to uninstall the program, programs and features.

If the problem persists then, I'd say contact the software support on the issue.

Your question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for Windows Server on TechNet. Please post your question in the Forums TechNet Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Server Services).

  • E3000 resets occasionally wired port when connecting to the VPN PPTP using Windows 7.

I've had an E3000 for a few months now and a couple of times per week that the router loses wired Ethernet connectivity while PPTP VPN connects via Windows 7. The router does not actually resets itself... but darkens light of wired connection, the computer establishing VPN, and connectivity to the router is lost. Within 30 to 45 seconds, the port becomes active, once more, and to establish the VPN connection. I've not seen this on a wireless connection, but I do not often, which may be why. Similarly, I have not seen this on my Vista or XP wired computers using the Windows VPN client... but then again I can't use them often enough to meet the problem.

I see this mostly on my Windows 7 (x 64) SP1, it also appeared pre - SP1, development equipped PC IP6 disabled on the PPTP VPN. And I don't see that on the establishment of a connection... once the connection has been made I can be operational for hours (5/6 or more a day) with no issue.

While this issue causes me all real headaches like this doesn't happen on the connection... I thought someone should know.

    abandoned,

Gave to your suggestion to try, but did nothing to eliminate the problem. The router was already on the version the most recent but re-flashed in any case. I ran 3 days on an old Windows XP machine connected to a different port on the router, I had 3 days to do work, and I've never had the drop on the VPN port. But this morning back on my Windows 7 machine... the port fell during my first attempt... I then had no problem, the rest of the day. Despite her disconnect and reconnect a PPTP VPN a few times more. Go figure.

Let's consider this resolved... as I don't want to lose too much everyones time hassling with something that seems to be minor. Thanks for the help!

  • Developer SQL 4.1.2 uses Windows authentication to connect to SQL Server

I'm using SQL Developer 4.1.2 and tries to connect to SQL Server through Windows authentication.  If I use SQL Server authentication, everything works so the jTDS driver appears to be installed and working properly (I use jTDS 1.2).  When I switch to Windows authentication, I get the error

Status: Failure-Test failed: IO error: failure of the SSO: library Native SSPI has not loaded. Check the system java.library.path property.

Of course, I googled the error and came up with dozens of people asking the same question and is told to move the ntlmauth.dll from the \SSO directory to the jTDS directory in various other directories.  That seems to work for others so for the last few hours, I was copying the DLL in each directory that I can find someone on the internet suggesting without success (I do restart SQL Developer each time).  In the Directory SQL Developer, I tried

    Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper

    Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin

    Developer c:\Oracle SQL 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\jdk\jre\bin

On the off chance that something was still making reference to a directory of a SQL Developer previous install, I put it in the same directories in the front THAT SQL Developer installed on this machine.  On the theory that she was using the FMV of the machine rather than that I downloaded and installed with SQL Developer, I advanced and dropped the DLL in the directory \bin for each installation of Java, that I could find on the system.

    c:\Program Files\Java\jrd1.8.0_45\bin

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_45\bin

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_60\bin

Still no luck.  SQL Developer, I went to help. Everything | Properties and checked that the first way to java.library.path is what I expected and where I dropped the ntlmauth.dll first.  I even put it in c:\windows and c:\windows\system32 just to be sure.

    Java.Library.PathC:\Oracle SQL Developer 4.1.2.20.64\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin. C:\WINDOWS\Sun\Java\bin; C:\Windows\System32; C:\WINDOWS;

Despite the DLL just about everywhere that I guess I would need to have it, I still get the same error.  I must be missing something obvious.  But at this point I was looking at it so long that I just can't see it.

I use SQL Developer 4.1.2 and tries to connect to SQL Server through Windows authentication using jTDS 1.2

Not sure if this has anything to do with your problem, but according to jTDS - SQL Server and Sybase JDBC driver / newsand since SQL Developer 4.1.x requires Java 8, '' you should stick only to jTDS 1.2 If you need to use a version of Java before Java 7 '' . Perhaps using a version 1.3.x jTDS driver might help.

Just, I solved the problem I had.

It turns out, there, there were two questions... first concealing the second.

SQL Web browser has not been activated.  solution: in properties SQL server configuration manager, transformed the startup to automatic mode and activated the service.

Microsoft Visual Studio project property targetdatasourcefolder had a server name that precedes the name of the folder. Removed the name of the server.  This works.

    Everything unfolds right now.
