Connections on graphics cards installation

I have the HP Pavilion Elite m9060n Media PC; Original graphics cards: Nvidia GeForce 8500GT has two pins with the motherboard beforehand. I install Antec 650 watt PSU and ZOTAC GeForce GTS250 graphics card that has a 3-pin connection... How or what do I do do (modify)?

Hello

The 2-pin connector of the old 8500 to the motherboard video card is for SPDIF (digital sound).  Contact Zotac cable solution.

  • HP Phoenix Model #: h9 - 1215t: is it possible to connect a graphics card to my office outdoors?

Hi, I bought a graphics card just now to install in my PC, but it was several times larger than my old and it took a lot more space in the case (not that there was plenty of space in the first place anyway). For this reason, my computer kept warm up way more than before and at the time wherever I had noticed this, it was too late for me to return. So now I'm stuck with a card sitting in my closet and I should like to use. I was wondering if there was nothing that I could connect it to the outside or if I have to buy a computer brand new case and build a computer from scratch in order to to use. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this, and I wait patiently for a response.

    Greetings,

The extra heat was produced by the new graphics card, an instability of the system? How to measure the change in thermal efficiency?

N ° you can not connect the external card.

The graphics card is designed to connect to a location PCIe x 16 on the motherboard.

Yes, you need to build a PC using a larger circle case Tower or full tower with additional fans to remove the extra heat generated by the graphics card.

  • Pavilion i7 h8-107uk: Asus GTX 750ti on i7 graphics card installation problem

    Pavilion i7 [email protected] (2011)

Try to upgrade graphics GeForce 545 again card ASUS Geforce GTX 750Ti.

HI - after the installation of the new card, I get a blank screen after the initial configuration of blue screen. I've already read of different threads detailed on exactly that but don't know what to do.

I have a few options of what I can understand.

    1. a thread tells me how to get into the Setup menu and 'disable secure boot' - others tell me it won't work not (?)

    2. Another very detailed thread says I must upgrade the BIOS to version 8. I just did an update via the HP support, but it's still version 7 - automation leaves me not install a newer version - not even sure if I should or how to (?)

    3. There is another thread;

    Hello

Interesting quotes, probably some from me.

Here's another thought for you.  Graphics cards same "not all graphics cards work in all PC" that work in a particular PC will not work in fact similar or the same exact model.

Looking for a NVIDIA 660 or 670 and a power supply correspond to the recommendation made by the manufacturer of the graphics card.

BTW - you probably won't see a BIOS version 8 for Pavilion models with the processor i7-2600.

  • Need a graphics card to connect two monitors.

Is AMD CrossfireX and Nvidia SLI is the only way to connect two VGA?

    Original title: graphics card...

It is not no need SLI or XFire to connect two monitors. SLI and XFire are mainly to
improve performance by connecting the two cards together.
SLI, to have the same model of card when you use Nvidia IE - two GTX560ti, but apparently, you can use different templates with XFire as long as they use the same gpu (it's because they sometimes "re-brand" a gpu a series on a new map in the following series).

You can connect two monitors to a card and run games on two monitors, but the seam in the
Middle is a problem, so it is really best to go three monitors or a larger screen.
You can also run a game on one monitor and have something to open on the other.
This can also be done with two cards of different model that are not related (Nvidia or ATI).
or your integrated graphics, if you and a single graphics card.
You can also use both outputs of an integrated graphics card to perform the duties of Office Basic
    two monitors.

To use a combination of graphics card integrated on my machine, I have to set the graphic option and dedicated North Bridge in the BIOS to "Onboard" or the integrated graphics card will not work.
Also, when you use a single monitor I have to choose one or the other in the BIOS as only won't work
at the same time when you use a single monitor.  It may be different on your system.

There are different ways to use two monitors and the Setup is different between Nvidia and ATI.
I've only played with Nvidia, ATI and Intel HD4000 options, so cannot really elaborate on
    the installation options.
It is probably better to play with the settings of your cards some time control panel to
get an idea of what is what and try again forum of the mfg graphics card for more details.

The error message looks like "your device is not connected. When I try to connect I get other error messages. Could someone help me on these two problems? Thank you.

    Hello

The solution for your RAM graphics card will depend on what manufacturer of BIOS you have.

On my A30, I increased the allocation of RAM graphics in the BIOS (Phoenix) from 64 to 128 by changin the setting of the AMU. (The options available are 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB).

I think that some other BIOS manufacturers do not include this option.

  • HP Pavilion P7-1155: Installation of new graphics cards hp p7-1155

I have a new EVGA GEFORCE GT730 2 GB GDDR5 graphics card and am ready to install it in the box above.

Haggiscat suggested this card through a previous post on this site. I printed the directions of installation of help from hp and I so the mechanics of the installation of this thing. These directions say disable the first onboard graphics card, then go into the box and install the new card. My question is: do I need to do something else first as in downloading the driver first / delete the old driver first.etc? Also, I have a disc that came with the new card. Use that to get the drivers or go to the website of invidia? I want this facility to go as gently as possible so expert help would be appreciated.

I don't know how to direct you to the previous post, but it's in this section. Take a look for general information.

    Thank you

I did some research after that discover your graphics update did not work.  I found another thread in which the motherboard is the same as the one you have and the video card is in the same family as the one you bought.

I also see in other forums that the 720 thru 770 cards are not compatible with this motherboard.  I have not found a referenced compatible card.  A resolution has been accomplished by changing the motherboard.

  • Can I damage my graphics card by connecting my laptop to my tv via hdmi.

Hi, I was shopping at Best Buy and I heard someone saying that I could damage my graphics card by connecting my pc to my TV via HDMI. This is a not seem OK for me but thought I would check doube. I have a dv6-3225dx Pavilion Entertainment PC. I have windows 7 64 bit. Thank you very much

    Hello:

I've never heard of such a claim.

People connect external monitors and TV on their laptops all the time, that's why they are equipped with video/HDMI ports.

Probably, there is a higher risk of damage/overheating to the graphics card for games graphics intensive video then they streaming video to an external monitor/TV.

    I would not be concerned.

  • No Signal message when the monitor is connected to the graphics card.

Thus, after posting this problem on different forums, I was told that my power (300w) was too low for my Radeon HD 7570 I tried to install. After you install a 585w power supply, the problem is still happening.

    Model: HP Pavilion h8 - 1240 t

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Error: Monitor says "no signal" when connected in the PCI slot where is the graphics card.

Changes: this always happened, did not get a single card to run this stupid computer!

The DVI cable is completely plugged the monitor into the PCI slot and the graphics card is fully in. The fans on the graphics cards spin but it is not detected at all. It does not appear in Device Manager.

    Data sheet:

    I7-2600 3.4GHz

    8 GB RAM

    Orion 585w PSU

Radeon HD 7570 (it didn't come with the computer, otherwise it would work...)

    PEGATRON CORPORATION 2AD5 1.03 (I guess that's the motherboard)

No. I went to Dell and downloaded THE drivers that ACTUALLY work. Computer restarted and everything works fine.
