  • Problem with laptop Pavilion dv6 wireless connection

I have a problem with a computer laptop dv6-6b50ea Pavilion of customers. He has win7 64 bit installed and an Intel Centrino WirelessN1030 with blutooth wireless card.

The user has used the laptop abroad with a 3G usb dongle with T-Mobile, but now wants to connect to his home wireless router.

Initially only the two switched 3g options are visible in the network for the connection options. Therefore, I uninstalled all T-Mobile software for control of the key usb 3g and removed the dial two profiles, but the laptop wouldn't see any wireless connection.

The orange light was on the f12 key and I couldn't get the wireless to work. Finally I found that even if it has been enabled in the HP connection manager, it has been disabled by Windows Mobility Center. I finally got the light turns white but still saw wireless networks while two other laptops could see the router in the same place.

I took the computer laptop and tried it on my own wireless network, and although he saw them he said that they were very poor and wouldn't connect. I tried all the normal things like turning off the antivirus and windows firewall. I've updated the software of the driver from the HP website, but it still wouldn't connect.

Finally, in desperation I disabled two virtual connections created by the driver. Finally he saw all my access points Wi - Fi including some a long way outside. I have is that it connects and thought that I had a crush, but restarting it would link is no longer. Since I brought the oldes driver I can find on the Intel site, updated twice by HP Support Assistant, who has updated the bios and installed the latest drivers intel, but it now not see any wireless network, or if it does sporadically and does not connect. Ethernet connection works fine.

I've seen lots of messages on mobile phones of series dv6000 with Wi - Fi and an overheating issues etc. What is the same thing with the dv6 6b50ea?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated

I had a very similar problem with Tablet Dell Latitude slate ST of my son.

He has the card brand Dell Atheros wireless bluetooth/wireless combo. He had connection problems in W7, but I was finally able to make it work most of the time.

I saw on the Dell forums, a lot of people complain about this card.

I installed W8 on the Tablet and there is no pilot, so I resorted to an old driver w7 and I can't get the map to work most of the time.

So, I ordered an Intel 6230 without wireless/bluetooth combo card for it and I'll see if it makes a difference.  Intel has W8 drivers for the card.

I did the same thing you did... inserted a map of the network, D - Link DWA-125 USB into the USB port.  W8 recognized, installed the drivers and it connects without any problems at all.

The difference between my situation and your is however that the 1030 Intel has no problems experienced with W7 link I know, that's why I suggested a factory reset to see if you can start from scratch and exclude a hardware malfunction.

If the card still does not work, then of course we should be replaced by a card support listed in the service manual.  Unlike Dell, with all computers laptops HP, you can install one of the maps in the service manual and they must have the part number HP on them or they do not work.

  • Problem HP laptop Pavilion G6 initialize - upward

    My father has a laptop HP Pavilion G6 which is just out of warranty, numbers! He watched a movie from DVD and he paused. Back, the screen was blank. He tried to restart, but screen never indicates that the windows start process. Also the screen flashed all ~ 3 seconds with a text in the lower left corner that says; (Press "ESC" to the Start Menu to the top). After finally write that statement said between the second 3 flashes, I tried the recommended action. I was able to reach the Menu start;

    F1 System Inf.

    F2 System Diagnostics

    F9 boot device Options

    F10 Bios Setup

    F11 recovery system

From there on, I ran the F2 System Diagnostics. All the tests reflect SUCCESS, to include the memory and hard drive (performed tests of HD both "Short" and "Long"). This is in conflict with the problem; as the hard drive does not have access to the operating system. Results to start-up attempts remained the same.

Because the LAPTOP didn't come with the CD for the operating system and my father never made the recovery CD I tried to use a different PC HP recovery disk, JUST to see if the PC starts a startup from DVD source. I consulted the "Up Start Menu" again and selected Boot Device Option F9 and start the boot from the DVD with the recovery of another PC disc. The PC booted up and started a process of recovery, but then, as expected, reports that the loaded DVD is a disc of recovery for another platform. I guess this confirms the motherboard, memory, bios, screen,... etc works well.

Being that the recovery software is now provided on the protected hard drive partition, I tried to launch a recovery of the system (F11) through the Start Menu upward. But the system returns to the initial fault of a white screen with the FLASHING (press "ESC" to the Start Menu to the top). SO I can't try a system recovery as no. recovery disks were never done and the hard drive seems inaccessible, although the System Diagnostics (F2 reflects the SPEND HARD driving all the tests.

Help! Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Confirmed the HARD drive as a source of error.  I removed the hard drive Toshiba and placed in another cell-B and the player has not been identified; same fault in phone different.  I also placed the hard drive from laptop-B in the HP Pavilion g6 and the PC detected the hard drive from laptop-B.  This confirms that the HP Pavilion laptop hard drive is BAD.

HP wanted over $ 150.00 for 500GB hard drive replacement. I got a Western Digital 500 GB for $64.00 online.  Once received, I installed the WD HD and responsible for restoring Windows OS. Everything is good and operational now.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02642701.PDF

Wireless cards supported are listed in Chapter 3 begins on page 24.

From the looks of it, you have the choice between the Atheros AR9280 2 x 2 adapter WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, or the

4322 Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n wireless network adapter.

You get only one of the maps in the service manual and they MUST have the HP part # on them, or they WILL NOT work in your laptop.

Be sure to choose a card with the part # listed for your locale.

  • I can't connect to the computer by using the password.

Original title: windows 7 locked out after several incorrect attempts

I can't connect to my computer toshiba satellite laptop after that my friend unsucessfully tried to guess my password. Now my password is not recognized and I couldn't connect to my own laptop... I have Windows 7 Home premium. I don't have a recovery disk or something like that. Help, please

Thanks for the reply! The message I see is: "the user name or password is incorrect."

I don't think that my password has been changed. I say this because I was the only person who knew the password. Thanks again for your help!

If Windows says your password is incorrect, then your password is incorrect. Otherwise, he would say "locked." Here's how to get out of your situation. In light of your statement "I have a recovery disk or something like that." , you must pay close attention to step 8 unless you like taking big risks.

    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point before your problems began.
    8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.
If you do not have a CD to repair Windows (which is also essential to solve the problems of Windows as a pneumatic Jack is to change a tyre) then here are your options:
    • Burn it on another computer. It takes only three minutes!
    • Borrow one from a friend.
    • Purchase one here: http://systemdiscs.com/

  • Problems connecting Xbox 360 to computer vista laptop via ethernet connection to the network local (the laptop is connected via wifi)

I spent a few hours trying to solve this problem, and I've been to countless forums.  They all told me to go into "Manage network connections" and right-click-properties on my connection Wi - fi.  Then they speak by clicking on the tab sharing... which I did not.  I don't know how to share my connection to the WiFi with my xbox 360.  It is supposed to be easy, but I can't realize what is designed as "highly probable."  I have a laptop Sony Vaio VGN-FW390 and Vista Home Premium. Maybe I have to set up a connection to an access point, or do a sort of thing ICS... I do not know.  I am incredibly annoyed by this, and I'd appreciate any help.  Thank you.

    Messier,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

Try this and see if it works for you, it has worked for some users.
With no cable connected between the computer and the xbox, go to control panel, network and sharing Center. You should see a "Local Area Connection", which will show disabled at this stage, and your "wireless network connection", which should show connected. Connect the ethernet cable to your laptop and the back of the xbox. Select the 'connection to the Local network. After that it is well connected, disable your 'Wireless Network Connection'. Once disabled, right click and click Properties. Go to the Advanced tab and check "allow other users of the network to connect through this computer's internet connection". Once this is done, your wireless internet connection should say shared next to the State of the connection.
Turn on your wireless connection. Then, right click to 'connect to the Local network' and click on repair. Allow the end. test the connection on your xbox.

Let us know how that works for you.
    Thank you

  • Satellite P300 - re-connection Bluetooth problem

    Good day to you all,.

I bought a laptop Toshiba P300 BB with WiFi and bluetooth Windows Vista certified.
Everything works fine with only the exception of the connection between my mobile phone (Nokia 6300) and the program "Nokia PC Suite"
When I put the PC in 'sleep' by closing the lid of the screen, the bluetooth with the phone stop connection (it seems to be ok)
When the PC is wake up by opening the lid of the screen, it will start, but the bluetooth between the phone and the PC (Nokia suite) connection is not recognized. Even trying to do it manually.
To reactivate this connection automatically, the computer must be stopped and restarted re - a.

The PC power is set to power and battery on "never stop".
The action of closing the cover of PC screen is set to 'sleep' (French intelligence)

What is going on? and what needs to be done to fix this problem?
All your 'lights' on this topic will be welcome
    Thanks a lot
    JCP

    Hello

This question must be post at Nokia. They have designed this software and before software is released, it must be tested. I assume that they test it on several different laptops and desktop computers.

So why this third party software doesn't work on Toshiba must be answered by Nokia.
Computer laptop manufacturers don't offer support for this software and cannot be responsible for the feature.

In any case, for me is not the big problem. It cannot be that difficult to turn off the connection before switching in standby mode, or maybe close to Nokia PC Suite. After waking up, start the software again and it should work properly.

  • HP laptop Pavilion g6 - stall wifi connection

I got a g6 HP laptop Pavilion for nearly a year, running on Windows 8.1

I am of people (and more) loss of connection wifi to router - all other devices using the same WiFi (desktop, nexus, samsung phone phone) all keep them the connection and internet access, but the Pavilion keeps falling.

Other related posts on this forum suggested the issue may be an outdated driver - how can I check that?

    Hello again Pragmata,

It is good to hear from you again!

As the problem persists after that you turn off the laptop, I also recommend following the steps below to correct this problem:

    1. open DEVICE MANAGER

    2. open the NETWORK CARDS

    3. right click on the WiFi adapter for the pc and left click on PROPERTIES

    4. click on POWER up.

5 remove the check mark beside: ALLOW the COMPUTER TO TURN THIS DEVICE SAVE START STOP

    6. click on OK

    7. close DEVICE MANAGER and test.

NOTE: There may also be checked under the CONTROLLER FAMILY (for example. Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller which would belong to the title of the WiFi card). If so, you can remove the check mark next to ALLOW the COMPUTER TO TURN this DEVICE FOR SAVE OFF.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

  • Bluetooth not working not not on laptop Pavilion dv4t-1400

In this last week, my bluetooth works is no longer on my laptop Pavilion dv4t-1400.  He was always on.  I think that he stopped when last week he had two usb problems which are still pending - that is to say, under Device Manager, there are two USB keys with a yellow warning triangle and after trying to help out, he said: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ».

I rebooted the Task Manager under start bluetooth software, but this does not make a difference.

BTW, to the best of my knowledge, there had not been any new software updates before the USB errors.

This problem is solved when I turned off my laptop, unplugged the adapter and all external connections, removed the battery, expected a minute, resinserted the battery and restarted my PC.

A driver has been added automatically by Windows and my bluetooth recognized and turned on.
