  I just replaced my hard drive on my laptop and tried to restore my 'Back up Set' that I recorded on an external hard drive before the replacement and received an error message 0 x 80070015. I tried everything without success. I read something about GPEDIT but I have a Vista Home Premium and it doesn't have this feature. They also advised me to try to restore safe mode but the Control Panel does not restore option. I am at a loss. Any ideas on how to solve this problem? Thank you!

  Many things can cause this error message.  Try disabling your AV software during the restoration.  Make sure that it is correctly connected to the computer.  You can run a chkdsk /f /r on two hard drive and external hard disk to find and fix I hope that all the corruption that may cause this problem.  Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator. type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot.   Answer Yes and restart to run the program.  It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.  Return to the same comand prompt, then run the program to an external drive.  Type chkdsk E:\\ chkdsk /f /r (or whatever your drive letter is).  Then reboot and see if the restore process works as you did it.  If this isn't the case, read on.

  GPEDIT is actually available on your system, but you almot certainly did not use so I do not know this isn't a factor.  And you can't restore in safe mode, even if things work perfectly - one that tells you what's wrong.

  Here is an article on the restore procedure: http://www.vista4beginners.com/How-to-restore-files to make sure you do this right.  It's a selective restore of a full or selective backup (not a full restore from a full backup) - but since you did a full backup, it matches your process more closely than would a full restore.

  This is a GREAT article on the backup and restore processes in Vista http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2007.09.backup.aspx , but he won't go into detail about the restoration process - considering almost as easy, of course.  But it teaches you a lot about what is possible and how to do it.   It also focuses primarily on the full backup process, but he did mention the full backup and restore process as well.

  Go to tools, Internet Options, content, and Web and food slices, click settings. Clear the turn on slices of web/page. It worked for me, just a few minutes ago.

  He's appeared all of a sudden when I went to the Help menu and selected "Adobe product improvement program.

  I don't know exactly what causes these and I don't see them often, but I don't think they are cause for concern. They are warnings of eGraphics Horn of Apple API to try to perform an operation on an invalid window. I suspect that part of InDesign closed a window before she removes a resource associated with this window. It should not affect the functionality of InDesign.

  These are certainly normal and not a cause for concern.

  They are certainly annoying, though. Similar to the first round but a little more abstract, they are cases where Adobe does not use cocoa memory allocator

  exactly how Apple expects. In General, this may mean InDesign uses a bit more RAM than expected (probably in most of the hundreds of bytes

  each time and which is tiny compared to hundreds of megabytes it is supposed to use.)

  I understand that you see a message in the Console that is repeated frequently. While this is happening, you problems with your Mac? Let's go over some general troubleshooting that might be able to fix it.

  I'd start first of all of your Mac up in Mode without failure. This will check your drive at startup and will take longer to start up than normal. It will also work only what is necessary with regard to kernel extensions. It will also limit the other things that could potentially contribute to this. Take a look at the article below for more details on how to do it.

  Hi Joop,

  you have to go in "preferences > Versioning > Subversion > General ' page and check"Show Log messages in the SVN console. Then each operation of SVN will appear in the console.

  SVN console appears in the journal general (message log) - window if you need to make it visible through "view > Journal.

• Remote peripheral console.log?

  I have everything set up so far. Inspect is quite nice, so far, I was doing everything manually with Charles, Weinre and virtual servers, but the occulting of the IE function is very pretty!

  So, I'd like to see my console.logs remote inspection, but I can't see anything when I refresh it the iPad. I have a very simple "Ready" message that appears in the Console of chrome Dev Tools on my desk. Would I be able to see this log if I update in the remote iPad? (I also use the xip.io vhost approach)

  You should be able to see all your messages console.log unit inspected in the weinre window, but there is a downside to that and I think that is why you do not see your message "Ready". For the page to be instrumented correctly for remote inspection work must inject a fragment of javascript in your page. Do us that an injection into the page's load event to complete on the device. This means that all messages journal occurring before or within a short period after the full page event that can be missed. Any other log message should work correctly and appear in the window of weinre.

  You might get better results if you put the javascript weinre reference in the page yourself, but I have not tried.

  Application side gets repeatable error ora-01555, but the journal alerts, there is no such error registered. I normally remembered that this error will be recorded, so by virtue of which the condition we do not find this error in the alert file?

  You would get on a LOB if ORA-0155

  (a) the LOB storage has been defined with PCTVERSION which is low (Oracle use not the Undo Segments, but use the space in the LOB Segment itself and if it isn't enough for several updates an ORA-0155 is triggered, which is not really related to Undo Segments, but the space in the LOB segment)

  (b) the LOB storage has been defined with RETENTION which is low
  (Even if you increase undo_retention, you change the LOB segment to PCTVERSION and then again in DETENTION for it to use the new value of undo_retention).

  See the MetaLink Notes 162345.1, 66431.1, and 563470.1

  Given that the ORA-01555 error really do not relate to the Undo segments, I believe that it would not be in the alert.log file - but I have not checked this.

  This is caused by the "DownloadHelper" version 4.9.8 Firefox addon.

  Line dhCore.js 819, there was this statement:

  In case you're curious, any Javascript can print messages in console.log using the dump() function, and any addon can cling in browser events like tabs are closed.

  You can safely comment this out by prefixing the line with "/ /" (without the quotation marks), and then restart Firefox. I also raised a bug with the developer of the addon: http://bugzilla.downloadhelper.net/show_bug.cgi?id=405
