V725w printer as wireless but always off line on windows 10

I have download the utility of configuration of the printer and put in place in the wireless and everything seemed great printer that presented themselves as connected to the network, but the State of the computer is 'offline' and is always. If I set the printer offline use, the status changes to "offline" - "printer offline" reset the indicator and printer is "offline" status

I've deleted and reinstalled several times and we tried to update driver from the website, but they fail to install it and I find myself with a printer that does not print.

Any suggestions or know patches would be appreciated

P. S.

I want to thank Rick for his answer but read the articles and have tried most of the suggestions in them. The printer is not in demo mode, but was in a try. Printing the network configuration is correct and my network believes that it works properly, I guess my concern is the problem, it is with windows 10 or at least on the computer side understand how to find the printer on the network.

Art,

Try to read these articles. I suspect that the printer may be in demo mode.

  • Printer Photosmart C310 is suddenly off line

I have photosmart premium C310 printer.  I got it for a little over a year.  I am running Windows 7 and print via a wireless connection to my desktop and laptop.  My router is a 149B 0 of Motorola.  Everything was going well until one day last week we lost power and the next time I tried to use my printer, it says it's 'offline '.  I went through the printer-no paper jams, etc..  I turned on and off, unplugged everything and finally ended up remove the device and put it back.  He says is more in mode offline, but when I try to print (from the word), it gives me a generic error message.  However, it prints a wireless network test report and a printer status report.  According to these forms, everything is fine.

    My ideas, please help!

AndiRae, you probably just lost your correspondence from the blackout. There are two quick things, that we can do for you reconnected.

Allows all first, start by turning off both of your computers, the printer and unplug the power cord at the back of the Motorola router for about 10 seconds. Then plug it back in and wait as all the status lights comes on as usual. Turn on your printer and your computer, and try to print.

If this does not work, I want you to do the same as above, with an additional step. Between turning on the printer and the computer back, run your printer Wireless Setup Assistant again. Now try printing.

Let me know if it helps!

  • 7525 photosmart all-in-one: printer says wireless, but do not print

We moved our headquarters to a new location in the House. After you reconnect all devices, the printer seems to work (in his view).  Network test results "spent." When I opened a doc and tried to print, it would not, telling me printer was not in the network. Enter new password for ISP provider crossed wireless configuration. Still not printing.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer. Still will not print. I disabled Norton Internet Security where he was blocking the process. I downloaded Team Viewer so that my son could see if he could help me, but couldn't connect to it to use it. I tried to download HPPrint and doctor to Scan, but it will not download. Any ideas?

    Hi there @MI_OHlady.

    Welcome to the forums

I understand that you have moved your location of printers and it is not printing via wireless network.

You mentioned that the print and Scan Doctor will not download, and this could be a problem on the computer or with the internet connection. Could try to use another web browser and try to download and run the printing and scanning Dr. again? I would like to know what are the results of the tool.

Also, try to make copies of the front of the printer and let me know if they work, or if you see errors.

I hope to hear from you

    Hello

Your 2 wire wireless mode, is actually a Modem/Router combo.

I hope that your Prosafe device is connected as a switch with an Access Point.

If it is connected as a second router you have independent networks that will not work against the second router NAT doble and thustwo.

I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more.  It allows to print and scan but the copies are to come in white.

Hey, here's a link for y our question, it says empty and white scans copies, but it breaks down in their own separate headings, here is the link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03111687

If that does not help the problem, a sequel to the above listed link I would do a hard rest is: while the printer is on, pull on the power cord to the printer and the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to the wall and printer. This will trigger a 'dirty power upwards' and restoring the printer to a State well known (if possible). No user settings are lost with a "hard reset." I'm pulling directly the instructions for this process of a hardware instruction guide. I'm sticking to it would have shown here Word for Word. • OfficeJet J6450 - printer connects wireless but does not print job cable modem replacement

Material: My printer is an OfficeJet J6450. I am running Windows Vista, current update.

Probably triggering the event: I replaced my modem docsis 3.0 with a doscis 2.0 modem. PSI has remained the same. All other software and firewall remained the same.

Dysfunction: After the replacement of cable modem, I found that I could print is no longer in my HP OfficeJet 6450. I would get an error in the printer window ' error - print. "  After the reboot after the publication of the initial error, I would get the error "error - sent to the printer.

    What I did:

As a first step, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software for the printer (complete package with exception of PhotoSmart and HP customer monitoring program).

Use the connection for the network printer wizard, I entered the router password wireless to the printer. At first I don't have a connection. Then I rebooted the computer and the printer. I also returned to the default setting of network on the printer and repeated the configuration of the network. The connection was finally successful.

The automatic test of the network page and the network printer wizard confirms the connection. Digital display of the printer and the HP diagnostic utility has also confirmed the connection. But the diagnostic utility is unable to print a test page and throw an error - "Print Test failed.

The result disappointing:  I still can't anything to print wireless.

  • How can I turn off the "always off-line" property on a specific folder or share?

Hi, I use Windows 8 on two machines with a home group. On the smaller machine, I use Sync Center to keep an offline copy of some of the files that are stored on the big machine. I can then work on those out-of-home and sync when I come back. I do not use the cloud, just the home network.

I can choose any folder and ask to be "always available offline". It works very well. But I can't turn this setting off. The cache on the smaller machine becomes too full so I want to selectively remove some of the files of it.

I tried the following none of which:

    (1) in the file Explorer, right-click on the file and look at the context menu. There is no other choice "make always available online.
    (2) even again and look at the properties. There is a checkbox indicating "always available offline" and it is not gray - but it won't let me click on it. So I can't remove the tick from the box
    (3) in the file Explorer, select the file, and in the tab "Home" watching 'Easy Access'. The "always online" option is grayed out.

No experience with this problem? It doesn't seem to appear in google searches

    Hi and thanks
the problem seems to have "solved itself" and I will describe below the steps that I actually took.
But first, just to clarify, this isn't (I think) a problem of skydrive, unless the policies and procedures of caching are the same regarding networked files (which I'd be interested to hear about). I'm not using skydrive. I'm just a home group in which wholesale laptop has two 500 GB drives and small laptop has a 250 GB drive. Great hosts of all mobile files for the House and a small laptop computer via a homegroup. Both machines are running Windows 8. I have improved in December to 8.1 and then is a complete Windows 8 resettlement, so that they are both pretty clean.

"Access all offline files" is turned off on both machines, and all actions are defined to allow network users to decide which files they want to store online (I think this is the default)

Just to complete the picture, it is the only user on each machine, which has administrative privileges on this computer.

When away from home, small laptop can continue to use the shared files because while that connected small laptop, I mark it as "always available offline". Then when I come home, I just sync (with the network, not with SkyDrive shares). However, I have to do this selectively, because there is not enough room for all of them. So I just keep offline files copies I'll work on all away, about 34Gb.

This solution is fine for me, I don't really have a use for Sky Drive yet.

The problem is that while I can turn on "keep a copy offline" selectively, I couldn't turn off selectively. If one day I put a huge folder by mistake to be readable while offline and then discovered that offline files had gobbled up space on the drive of the laptop little almost all the. But I couldn't pass this backrest to remove from the cache offline files. The relevant menu options were all grayed out.

In the world stopping or disabling 'offline files' did not help, because as soon as I have reactivated the, small laptop "remember" what she should be cached. I guess I could have reduced the cache space something much smaller, but then what I would do is remove the functionality that I needed because Sync would fall on complain there is not enough room.

When I searched on the web, I found that it was possible in Windows 7 to reset the cache, by adding an extra key in the registry (see, for example, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/230738/en-us).

But this doesn't seem to work in Windows 8 (see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-winapps/how-to-re-initialize-the-offline-files-cache-and/9e785cc9-d8ad-42fc-b772-36ac01db18e4). So I wanted to know how to do the same trick in Windows 8

What has worked (don't know too why) are the following steps:

    (1) the big laptop, move all the files that are used to be in the huge file in a temporary store
    (2) on big laptop, use the tab share offline on the properties of the file once - huge, to deny the user the right to keep a cache online.
    (3) make the shareable temporary store
    (3) close big laptop and restart
    (4) close the small laptop and restart
    (5) sync small computer laptop once again, making sure not to request a copy of the temporary Bank offline

Grayed links seemed to 'wake up' and I was able to delete all cache offline except the files I wanted. But I have no idea why.

Hope this helps someone, and I think it would be useful to publish, somewhere, a "how-to" article telling how to reset the offline files cache.

Chiffchaff-faced apologies if the skydrive also corrects work for offline networking files.

HI: I finally received my J4680 all-in-One to print via my home wireless network with my router wireless n Linksys (Windows XP).

The NDU HP printer network easily located, but when I try to add a new device or change the wireless settings, my printer is not found.

When I try to open the HP Solution Center, it is said that no HP devices can be detected.

    Nevertheless, I can print wireless.

But I can't just scan through the USB port.

Without the USB attached, is no longer a HP TWAIN is located.

I have disabled my firewalls and have added the ports suitable as descrbed in other posts.

    Any other ideas?

OK, good growth.  The printer is on the network OK.

Now, I think that the problem is in your computer.  Uninstall the HP software and re-install from here.

  • HP Officejet 4620 e-all-in-one stop wireless print whenever it is turned off

My HP 4620 stop wireless print whenever it is turned off, although it is connected to the network (by the results of the test network wireless, pass & the quality of the signal is excellent).  No troubleshooting - HP Print & Scan Doctor work there is no help, I have to uninstall & reinstall the printer each time to be able to print wireless again.

I use it on/on button to turn the printer off, don't disconnect not.

Please help, or I need to return to the store, this is the third time!

I also had the same issue and after a few game it seemed to have fixed so here's what I did... Hope this helps someone else.

-My printer is connected to my wireless network.

-On my computer that I'm connected to the printer through the IP address 192.168.1.153... (Yours may vary) in a browser

    * You can find the ip address printers on the control panel of the printers by pushing the wireless button and pushing the ok option 1, it should appear with the intensity of the signal and the ip address is at the bottom.

-Once I was on the Printers page in my browser, I went to the tab network at the top.

-Then to Internet Printing Protocol section (on the left in the advanced settings)

-On my own PPI was already on, but the location was empty I put a '1' in the location box and then applied settings.

-C' is the only thing that I changed and now my printer is asleep as always, but when I print something from my iphone, mac or pc it wakes up and prints as it is supposed to!

BTW before I went to the printer via the browser. I changed layout sleep in 15 minutes via the Control Panel on the printer itself, don't know if it helped the issue or not because I still had the problem of sleep after I set the timer to 15 minutes instead of 5 min. But I solved my problem after performing the steps above!

Also note that on the one hand some ppl on here say it's a network problem or a router! This is NOT the case I never even tried these roads and I solved my problem only by changing the setting of the printer! I have not set a static ip address or something like that!  The above steps is things ONLY I touched and my problem is SOLVED!

  • HP 6500 poster printer "Off Line" even after a repair

My HP 6500 repeat myself that it is offline.  My search for the menu help and FAQ didn't help.  Can someone give me a hint?

    1. I made sure the without wireless is enabled, and wireless lights on the control panel.

    2. I turned off and turned back on it, including by pulling the power cord and in him plugging back in.

    3. I checked my printer settings and it is not 'off line' or 'pause '.

    4. in the view of network, I see the router and two ethernet computer connections and two wireless display.

But nothing has done the printer appears.

Thank you, Printdoc - he came back and said do not appear.  He said the next page to connect to the computer.  I plugged the USB line-I said by mistake we ethernet plugged in the past - it's USB.  As soon as I plugged the printed pages.  So I am to a connection of printer cable, which is OK, because they are fairly close together.  Now, I need to see if the remote computers will get the printer through my Wired Office.  It seems that the utility has awakened something important running.

Kudos are in order.  If it's ok I'll try this print and see if it connnects and it does.  If this isn't the case, I may once again for advice.

    Thanks again, Jim

PS: It's incredible to see how little I know not how these things work.  I couldn't have another wired computer here in my office to print or the laptop wireless connected as well.  Both list the correct name of the printer, and as many say that it is the default printer, and two sources argue that the printer is offline.

I'm going to bed - I thank you again for the help.  I'll try to copy the web site and download the test on other machines and see if that pulls things together.  If you're still 'top and home' and want to react more this Eve... morning, I'll check this site in the morning.  Jim
