  A lot of time and effort was exercised in an attempt to find out WHY. I wanted to not just fix the symptoms. It concerned me greatly as a basic function of the operating system does not work. He was not fit for purpose. In the end I found that a third-party application compromised of WINDOWS VISTA 32-bit operating system. If an operating system can not reliably inform the user that an operation is successful or not, it is worthless.   Arriving in my solution, I was inspired by the following articles http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/archive/2006/08/31/453100.aspx     http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/archive/2006/11/27/532465.aspx
  So I downloaded the MS debug tools and confirmed my suspicion of dllhost.dll using REGEDIT to set debugging on that.
  To cut a long story short, it's DivX 7.2 which caused me grief.  In particular, the file DivXDecH264.ax 'has an access violation - code C0000005 (first chance).  It has been autonomous in DivX Plus DirectShow Filters.     Thus, when it has been deleted (starting other Articles to original install DivX) through Control Panel of configuration/programs and features my system worked perfectly well.

  I know SFA on the architecture of Windows but why was this DivX file loading and cause an access violation whenever I used the windows Explorer?  How an operating system may fail in a basic function of by a third party issue?  There are some newspaper where this access violation was recorded?  It was only possible to identify it in debugging?

  now, I need to add a little extra clip at the beginning of the recorded movie. but when I have to add to the beginning (I just drag and drop it at the beginning), it seems to push all my effects of transitions and titles forwards in the film. If the titles that are supposed to before some clips are now pushed more in other clips or clips that appear later in the film!

  is there a way to avoid this problem?

• How to remove or disable the icon/thumbnail that floats above the pointer when you drag a file or folder in Explorer

  When you do a drag-and - d├⌐poser in Solution Explorer, a very large icon/thumbnail floats just above the needle during the drag and a message "Move to .  The icon corresponding to the type of content of the file or the moved folder.

  Unfortunately, it is difficult to see the destination of drag.  Really annoying.  The message "move to...". "or" copy to... ". "relatively small is fine.

  So the question is, how to reduce the size (preferably 0) or to increase transparency (preference to 100%) or gift away with just the icon/thumbnail altogether?

  Unfortunately, this is an of the by design of Windows Explorer functions. There is no way to solve this problem I know.

  You might want to consider simply cut and paste them instead.

• Move what tool does not layer move when you drag with Wacom Tablet

  I use the trial version of CS5 (will probably be updated at the end of the trial), and I found only one thing about it that I like more than CS3. It is VERY VERY annoying, and I don't know if it's a bug, or just a preference that must be reset:

  When you use the move tool, I will suggest something and it will break just back to where it was originally. When it snaps again, it could move in the sense that I drag a few pixels, but it is certainly not moving where I want to go. The only way to make things go as I want to is to transform freely... but it is annoying, when you try to create a presentation, to have free transform each item that you want to move first.

  I'm guessing that this is a problem because sometimes, and sometimes it isn't... it's pretty random. I tried to turn snap on/off, and nothing changes. No idea how fix/change it?

  I think I may have found the culprit. I started using Adobe PS CS 5 Extended the same day I got the Wacom Intuso 4 (about a year ago) and NEVER had a problem until last month when I added Adobe PS CS5 in the application section, see below.

  That's the ONLY change I made to my settings from wacom alongside the typical button layout.

  

  I just tested this point. I removed the Adobe Photoshop CS5 from the field of Application of field and restarted Photoshop WITH the Tablet is plugged. Now, I can use the touchpad and tablet. See below:

  

  Just to test my conclusion, I have readded the application to the field of application (Photoshop was closed; three feet away from the mouse and pen) and changed my settings as I wanted, so I started to Photoshop.

  At first, I was able to use the track, but as soon as I used the pen, the touchpad stops working correctly and the problem of 'go back' started.

  I don't have Flash Player and Wacom in the other field on System Preferences, see below.

  

  In this case it does not matter weather that the pen is sitting on the shelf or not. Once Photoshop is removed from the scope of the parameters of Wacom, the touchpad and tablet work in harmony.

  I hope it works for you and Adobe/Wacom allows a solution/solution of the problem.

  How do you keep an image dragged in the Panel project to the timeline, covering the length of the entire composition?

  Images to the timeline always reach the entire composition. When you have a hundred of clips and just two seconds or so, each element in a composition of four minutes sizing is... Well, a lot of time. Even dragging on the agenda and the time the layer just pushes it beyond the end of the composition, and always requires resizing.

  Should be an easy answer. Ready for my Homer Simpson "Doh!"

  I have a bat file, where I run a powershell script passing one argument which is a folder name. I added the file beats in my office, so I could just drag and drop a folder in the Explorer on the bat file.

  Works very well. With the exception of a killer detail. When I drag and drop a folder that has spaces, the process does not receive the full path. Space is causing the script to fail. Thus, for example, I can't drag & drop c:\program files\ in the bat file.

  Is there some setting in which case I can force drag & drop to use filename not spaced? Why don't the OS automatically in the argument with the quotes around it?

  In a command environment that it is practical common to surround with quotes of files names. If the names contain no spaces, then double quotes can be omitted. That is why your batch file should read

  PowerShell.exe myscript.ps1 "%."

• Create a static button that does not move when you slide on several pages.

  Is it possible to do? I have a button that directs the user to the top of the document, but it is position moves when you drag on several pages. Is it possible to create something that is entirely static which remains in the same position?

  When you drag the progress indicator, he paused playback.

  It may that you dragged up to a point where your objects on a slide have dimmed but the other have not started to fade again.

  By clicking on the Play button on the playback bar, you should get going again, if that's what's happpened.

  When I drag my videos pictures in a folder on my desktop, the creation Date changes to the date and time. How to prevent the correct creation date?

  Don't drag the videos from the browser.  Select the videos, use "file > export > export original...". ».

  When you drag a thumbnail on the desktop, Photos will export a new file preview, and this will have a different creation date.  If you export the original video file, it will keep the creation date.

  All windows disappear except Composition and Windows calendar when you drag the time indicator current (CTI). When I let go of the mouse, all the windows reappear. I'm sure I've accidentally changed a parameter overview, but I can't find where this setting is. I want just all the Windows I normally opened to stay there while I drag the CTI.  Any ideas how to solve this problem?

  I have NVidia Quadro FX 3800, driver version 341.92, which is one of the most recent drivers, but that made me think. In the NVidia Control Panel, I checked manage 3D settings and restored all global and set default settings. Now it does not work properly. I think that I have stayed a while to solve something for a different application, and who touched somehow AE. Thanks for the help!
