  My contacts sometimes freeze (when I search a contact) and I have to force to leave contacts/phone to re - use the contacts/phone app. This has happened only once 10 update iOS. My phone also sometimes just suddenly stop (that too after the update!) It has happened twice already. The battery was more than sufficient when it happened.

  Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
  • Press and hold the Home button
  • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

  I'm not aware in a direct way, but here's what I did for the other way - from Win Mail to the phone.

  • If you do not already have a Gmail account, create one (it's just a temporary tool for this process).
  • Configure the iphone for the gmail account and synchronize it. This should sync your contacts.
  • Since you google.com interface: export your contacts (unfortunately it only supports CSV format).
  • In Thunderbird, import your contacts

  My iCloud contacts are not all my contacts from the iPhone.  I use the latest version of Firefox on Windows 10 PC.  Same situation on my Mac with El Capitan and the latest Safari and Firefox browsers.  Refreshing Contacts in iCloud changes nothing.

  Try to go to iCloud.com to see if the elements are there and whether the device or the computer. That should indicate if the device or computer is not synchronizing.   'Stock' apps are part of the installation of iOS and cannot be removed, so there is nothing to verify or prove.

  When you move to a new phone, just need restoring your old backup phone and compatible applications will be synchronized to the new.

A very nice tech Jason worked with me for 2 weeks to fix this. He sent Apple a 4th iphone 6s. We did a backup and when the new phone came in did us a restore. A few days later, the same problem. Apple accuses Sprint, Sprint complaint to Apple. At this point, Sprint said that my sim card was corrupted and he sent me a new. On the phone with Jason, we did a reset of the iphone 6s failing manufacturers. Removed the corrupted sim card and put in a new vacuum. Phone restarts and when you get to the Setup screen, it asks "set up as a new user or a user to return. Jason said as a new user.  I clicked on new user. Following her request for an apple ID. Jason said I should put in my existing apple id (although it has been activated on as a new user). At this point the phone wouldn't turn on. On the phone with Sprint. They did not understand as to why the phone would not activate. Jason suggested that I put my original sim card in (which was noted as corrupted), then the active phone. At this stage because I had not done a restore, the only information on my phone now an old backup who had my contacts and some of the notes, images etc. Jason said to do a restore after just 24 hours to be sure of the time and the date stay correct. Not happened. Less than 24 hours, the date and time that is set to automatic changed to the GMT time zone. Jason was out of suggestions. We left him there. I have reset my builders phone by default and when I went through the whole upward I plugged my phone in itunes and restored my phone from my computer backup. (Icloud is always OFF).   Im going to guess that your phone is actually a 6 + and not a s 6 +, which means that your phone is suffering from simple plu epidemic of iPhones of all time - to the epidemic ic touch.  It is unrelated to Siri and tricks of the 'home', the lack of contact button that gets worse with time and flashing bars gray is the presentation of the default signature.  It's a failure level Council of integrated circuit chips that control touch and it is a design flaw in the jury of 6 + that Apple does not recognize.  You can send for microsoldering of the Board of Directors to resolve the underlying anomaly for half of the cost of your options at Apple--assuming that you are not interested in protecting your out of warranty at Apple options.
