Contacts transfer of an old Blackberry 8520 blackBerry Smartphones

In the five years from 2011, I have collected 240 contacts on my Blackberry Curve 8520. It is time I went and I got an iphone7. Very unfortunately, nobody can find a way to transfer my contacts. Sorts of difficult local Apple store, but failed. I have a full backup on my PC, but it doesn't seem to be any use. I have to let it go and re-enter all?

Transfer of Contacts, you can use switch of the device or content to Blackberry transfer

Good luck.

  • Delete and transfer of files to blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello world!

I am moving my old (but expensive) curve 8520 in a new bold 9900 and let me know how it is possible (safely) to transer files (mail, contacts, numbers, etc.) from my old phone to the new. My idea was to make a back up of my 8520 and download on the bold 9900. What is the right way to transfer files?

Thank you very much for your advice!

I'll tell you exactly the steps I take.

Open BlackBerry Messenger (if you use it) and go to Options > backup and backup your BBM contacts to the media card.

Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and device > backup and perform a full backup.

Follow this link for the use of the switch device Wizard to completely all settings, preferences, apps, messages, calendar, contacts, etc. from the old unit to the new.

Then remove the SIM card from the old unit to the new.

Move the old unit to the new press card (if your new device includes a newer version, more big media card Let's dealing separately, just ask.)

Then, if something were to go bust, you have a backup on the PC in reserve, if necessary.

  • Contact information for installation of blackBerry Smartphones.

I recently purchased the Blackberry Torch; the numbers were transferred over my old Blackberry Pearl phone.

One of my many Contacts had NO code appearing in front of the 7 - digit telephone number.  I tried to text him and of course, she came back with the error message.  I went and edited the number to include the area code (made a 10-digit number) - and I still get the same error message.

I deleted this contact 3 times and entered its data with different names - but the same phone with all the 10 listed numbers - and I still get an error code when I text.  I just listed the number under the 'work' instead of 'mobile' - always impossible to send text.

I called him - no problem; He can call me - no problem; He can text me - no problem; I just can't text or make a text.

What is going on?  Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Smartphones Dang sure too!

OK, sounds similar to something that happened to me last week, I tried to call a number instead.

Look at your call history, by accessing your Messages folder > press Menu > folders > phone call logs and you will need find and remove all previous attempts to call this number.

Also, in the same place, watch sending SMS and delete all previous attempts of SMS.

Your device "to remember" and use these previous calls to that number as a story of several parameters and if you remove all the people, I would then do a full restart on the device, in this case > with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now, after, you have removed all instances of old of the call/SMS and restarted, try again.

  • Contacts of the migration of blackBerry Smartphones

I just got a new Blackberry Pearl 9100. I have 450 contacts that I would spend my old Blackberry Pearl 8110, but my USB data/port is twisted (always fresh, but does not seem to recognize the data port no longer then synchronize the traditional way with my USB cable from my Blackberry desktop manager). Is there a way to sync or migrate my contacts from my old phone to my new phone using Bluetooth or another method?

Hi hoc333 and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

Your only option appears to be sync via Bluetooth.  Take a look at this article for assistance:

  • Transfer of old blackBerry Smartphones media memory card

I recently started using a Blackberry Torch and I wonder if there is any way I can transfer photos from the memory card from my old phone directly on my torch.

    Thank you

Well, the best way is to copy ALL the files from your old card to your PC using a usb memory card adapter that you can buy cheaply at any electronics store. Get the old files from your PC and then copy them to your new BlackBerry or using the same adapter.

But if the old card fits your torch and is visible on the PC, do it this way, by copying the files on your PC. Insert the new card into the torch, then copy this files on the PC to the new card into the BlackBerry.

  • Switch to new device without old blackBerry Smartphones

8330 keyboard my daughter stop working so we ordered a replacement Verizon 8830.  She had already saved the old phone so I downloaded the latest version of BB Desktop software on his computer and save the old phone in hopes of transferring its contacts to the new phone when it happened.

Not knowing that the switch device Wizard requires you to have the phone connected to the computer to launch the device switch I sent the old phone to the carrier.

Is it possible to transfer old contacts to the new phone without having to first fix the old phone?

Thought I might get contacts save the file on the PC and drop it in the new phone backup folder and then synchronize hoping to fool the software?

Or y at - it a way to take the backup of contacts file and export it to text so that I can download on Google contacts, and then save it to the new phone with Google Sync?

    Thanks for your help?

    Hello

If you have already saved peripheral of your daughter, you can restore the data to the new.  Open the BlackBerry Desktop Software, connect the phone again, then under the device from the drop-down list (at the top left), select restore.  You can then navigate to where the previous backup file was preserved (as in your Documents or Documents folder > BlackBerry) and restore this file.

    I hope that helps!

  • Out with the old blackBerry Smartphones, turned to the future.

So I recently expressed interest semi drooling over a "BOLD" of customers, and they looked like, you want my old one, so on that day, I entered the a 8700 Chantal.

And I love it. Wow. The moment I got my hands on one of these bad boys, life changing I can't wait to get a "BOLD". Wow they are so awesome.

in any case, if the phone is saturated from the previous addresses of owners and contacts and text messages.

I have downloaded the software ABC Berry beautiful, made a backup of the blackberry, flat, backup, exported all the old owners info and emailed them to him.

So I jumped my sim in my W810i, found the copy all contacts to sim card option, did.

Took my sim card, threw my w810i in the trash can and popped the SIM in the blackberry. (I'm kidding I gave the phone to a friend)

So now, I have a blackberry that is nicely backed up and a sim card with all my contacts.

How to do a master reset/clean slate/lobotomy to the blackberry and then load all contacts on the sim card.

I have to be delayed, cause, this shouldn't be so hard, but can't find the charge or reset options anywhere.

Thanks for any help. see you soon

OK, then the wheel button in the address book, phone book sim, wheel button copy all.

  • BlackBerry new computer, old blackberry Smartphones

I had to erase everything on my computer and put it back to nine because of a matter related non-blackberry.  now, I had to reinstall the software for my blackberry on it.  I don't remember all the settings, but I share everything via outlook.  my blackberry is out of date on my calendar and contacts that I could return to my computer in outlook.  How can I sync my blackberry is back with my computer and make sure that my blackberry settings win in my calendar and contacts?  or is this even possible?

It is possible. You will need configure the synchronization in the Desktop Manager for "handheld wins." Look for this setting in the configuration of the synchronization.

Do sync and when successful, don't forget to return to "notify me" or all the items that you enter directly in Outlook will be synchronized to your BlackBerry.

  • Lost Outlook Contacts on the computer - BB blackBerry smartphones can synchronize all back?

For reasons of computer problems, Dell had to take back me to factory settings - Ugh. When they backed up all my data they accidentally left to all my Contacts in Outlook. So, I lost all of them. Question... my BB Curve 8310 will put them all back in Outlook when I sync? I'm afraid to try it without asking. At least I have all my Contacts on my BB.

Of course, when you synchronize they update the other... but a list of Contact TOGETHER? More than 300 of them?

Thanks a lot to anyone who has any idea!

Yes, it will be. By default your synchronization parameter must be set to "bilateral" and handheld should update the PC Outlook file.

AS a measure of PRECAUTION, first of all, by using Desktop Manager, making a full backup of your BlackBerry (should you accidentally set your PC to "win" in any conflict", it"might"delete your contacts in Pocket). The backup will be a rescue rope.

You can check the C: > synchronization settings, I would recommend that you set to "notify me" of the any conflicts.

  • Is it possible to manage my contacts in the computer to blackBerry smartphones?

Hi, I was wondering is it possible that I can manage my contacts from my computer? When I bought this phone, BB Storm and performed a sync with my computer, I had a lot of questions which have fortunately been resolved through this forum (thanks guys). I got all my contacts that I thought I had lost, but now my contacts appear in my BB as individual registrations. Let me explain: Mia's mobile phone number on one... Mia's personal phone number on another contact... all his information are separated by the singles... I hope that I was clear English is my second language... Is there a way I can manage my list of contacts in the computer, because my BB, I could lose my mind trying many fixes to type... I have 600 contacts...

PS: On the "option screen and keyboard, touchscreen options... What is the ideal choice"interval type"...» 100, 200, 300... What is 'Hover period'... excuse my ignorance... AND "Swipe Sensitivity", what is the ideal number to use...? SO many questions? SIP...

    1. I would recommend that you synchronize your data of contact BlackBerry to your computer using Desktop Manager to synchronize with Outlook or Outlook Express. From there, you can edit, merge and massage your records and then synchronize to the device.

    Download Desktop Manager here:
    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22

    2. try these settings on your Storm.

Increase the interval of 500 valve.
    Increase the hover at 1000.
Increase the sensitivity by scanning at high (6).
    Fast rate.

  • Your old blackBerry Smartphones xfering images phone new BB Curve

I just bought a new Curve 9330 and I stored all my pictures on my old phone on a micro sd 1 GB card.

When I put the sd card in the curve, I can see that the phone sees the card and a pop up display for a very short period. I had to do it like 3 times to read he said the media was going to be moved, but when I look at the camera/media I find a photo of my sd card.

    Tanks

While I was waiting for a response I understand that as soon as I put the sd card in my blackberry

It seems to create a new directory structure. He had all my old photos in a folder called my_pix

I then took a picture using Blackberry and found that the image was stored in a folder named blackberry /camera

I then selected all my photos saved under my_pix and copied on camera folder you and now all of my old photos are visible.

    Hope this helps others

  • Outlook calendar info old blackBerry Smartphones when keeping synch w/9700 "BOLD"

    Hi RIM Forum!

I recently upgraded to OS6, have the latest Desktop Manager and under Microsoft Outlook 2007 on Windows XP.  Each tme I synch, over calendar information 3 weeks which are NOT anticipated is wiped out.  This is not acceptable because I need to access my calendar to revisit occurrences as far, far back as possible, i.e. Since the beginning of the 2000s.

I have enough storage on hard drive of my PC, so how can I make sure that my Outlook never deletes calendar events that do not specify want to restore deleted and the second, as far as possible to all my old calendar events?

Finally, the limitations of memory my 9700 so I know how to get back I should keep my calendar on the RIM device and information?

    Thank you!

    Ben

    Hello

I don't take as my fault or does issue so no worries there.

I'm not an employee of the RIM, I am a user like you.

The deletion is not fair on Outlook, which two days to feature too. The design intent (I think) is there isn't that one calendar and the PC and the Blackberry have each an exact copy.  Make sense?

You can restore your archived Outlook calendar items to find appointments lost, or at least most?

    Thank you

  • Removal and transfer of files to blackBerry Smartphones

How can I transfer photos from the memory of the device to the press card?  Also, is there a way to mass - delete old text messages?  Thanks for any help.

You can read the memory of the device and the media PC card, if you have enabled mass storage (Options > memory).

Then, you can simply drag and drop the files from to the other.

Or, you can access a file name in the device memory and click Menu > move.

In your SMS folder, scroll to the top of the screen or on any date bar separator, click Menu > delete all the prerequisites.

Or, tap the first message that you want to remove and then another tap above or below, to create a 'chain' of messages highlight, then click the red X at the bottom of the screen to mass delete selected ones.
