Content of the sidebar lost in the contextual assistance calls

I created calls to context-sensitive help for my HR 10 HTML5 project. Calls display the correct heading; However, I lose the contents of the sidebar (table of contents and Index). I post blog of William van Weelden on HTML5 Context-sensitive Help to reference. Great post, but I must have missed a step. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Hello

This is a feature called mode of CSH. You can toggle widgets for shown when aid is called context sensitive.

To stop this behavior:

1 open the editor presentation of the screen, then select the tabs Panel in the sidebar. (This is the Panel with the TOC, glossary and IDX).

2. right click and select properties to screen layout.

3 uncheck the box to not display in the CSH.

4. save the page.

5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for each page of the presentation of the screen.

6 regenerating the output.

Now the content of the sidebar will be visible when you call the context sensitive help.

Take a bow

    Technically, you have the sidebar before the content of the page, but still try to put the sidebar on the right of the content. With this in mind, there are 2 simple ways to tackle your problem and only by testing in other browsers you will know which is the most.

    1. hold the order div you have and change the CSS.

    #sidebar {}

    Width: 300px;

    border-left: 5px solid #3300FF;

    z index: 110;

    padding: 5px;

    position: relative;

    float: right;

    margin left: 675px;

    }

    2 change the order of the div is 'in order' and the CSS.

    #sidebar {}

    Width: 300px;

    border-left: 5px solid #3300FF;

    z index: 110;

    padding: 5px;

    position: relative;

    float: left;

    margin left: 675px;

    }

    NOTE the change to left/right of the float. Your margin keeps the space it uses for the element, it applies, that is why your page Sam below your sidebar content.

    Classic scenario: after the bookmark long manual organization Firefox Sync adds trash of its server to my laptop or tablet.

    Where can I find how to replace the content of the backup of the server by settings/passwords / current browser bookmarks? Stupid me, I put a new synchronization and lost this ability.

    It is not recommended to go back to the old version of Sync

    The old version is removed he'll stop being available soon, it takes getting used to using the new version.

    IIRC, it is actually possible to force synchronization of the old working with Fx29 & Fx30 using an old profile or preferences of piracy, but I don't think I should encourage users to try this, but it would be better than using an older version of Firefox which is really bad. In fact using an old outdated version of Firefox is so bad, that it is customary to recommend using a browser on alternative day of someone else instead.

    Firefox ESR is aimed at corporate users, definitely, at the moment, it will use the synchronization of the former. Who will update soon to use synchronization well again, and this time, I guess the synchronization of the former will probably totally frowned upon for example are not available at all.

    It is possible to use the feedback system to leave a short comment on Sync. I would recommend this making, but at least to make very many people of spirit comments that I doubt will have no effect.

  • Shrink a partition lop off content at the top of the score?

    I was talking to support cloning all 4 partitions in my laptop Toshiba Satellite A660 towards a smaller auxiliary HDD (not to create an image, but a clone - recoverable image may be in the plans in the future). If the laptop HARD drive suffers a hardware failure, I can drop the clone in the laptop, be running (and source down a new HARD drive). Moreover, the new (faster) HDD can move the current HARD disk.

    Ask in the Forum, partition 1 is to start partition 2 is the C drive and partitions 3 & 4 are for various recovery and content operations. According to the experienced posters, Acronis True Image, and Norton Ghost time adjust score 2 in the cloning process so that partititions all fit into the target disk, without requiring the partitions to be resized in the source HARD drive. I find it reassuring that I shouldn't mess with partitions on the source HARD drive until I confirmed the integrity & all features of all partitions in the target HARD disk.

    However, a forum poster Toshiba says decrease in partition 2 causes partitions 3 & 4 start to lower locations, he found that the recovery feature has been lost. I didn't ask for details, but there are two functions, it could refer to: (1) the creation of recovery disks using a dedicated application of Toshiba and (2) restore to factory State (Toshiba is designed for it by pressing 0 over the power upward). I would like to keep the two functions (1) and (2) in the clone.

    As an alternative to the on-the-fly resizing, technical support suggested reducing the partition on the source HARD drive 2 prior to cloning, reassure me that's safe and common practice. In fact, Windows 7 includes the adjustment of partitions feature.

    I'm new to disk management and do not have a detailed picture of the work of narrowing of the partition. I guess that my disk partition C to have scattered content in the score, even if I use a tiny part of the capacity. Even after defragmentation, you cannot assume that all content is compressed at the bottom of the score, and when you start, who knows where in the operating system partition using disk space.

    My main question is: How can you reduce a C drive partition without fear to amputate content in the space that becomes unused space?

    P.S. in a tied note (related to the context of the question above, that is), is there a way to test the functions of 2 recovery of the cloned partitions 3 & 4? (1) I can burn discs of recovery once again, but it seems a waste (and I have to find a way to compare with my existing recovery discs). (2), I have to perform a recovery without disk, I really don't want to do. I like to have my current state of the system (although I suppose that if it's just clone HARD drive that comes back to factory State, not big thing). I wonder if there is a simpler and faster to the correct feature indicator.

    > It has all the characteristics of a partition that is needed to start, while I also said 'stuff' recovery lies in the partitions 3 & 4.

    I guess recovery Toshiba stuff are placed on the 3rd partition in file recovery HARD drive that these files are required to create the DISK to recover using the Toshiba disc creator recover.
    I guess that the first partition is necessary to start the laptop computer in Repair Mode and here you can choose different options to get the repaired among other OS recovery disk option is available also.

    So I think hidden first partition deletion would remove the HDD repair mode option, but the recovery of image files would be still available in the case of 3rd partition recovery

  • FILE IS PRESENT (WITH AN ARROW IN THE LOWER LEFT CORNER), BUT NO CONTENT IN THE FOLDER

    I HAD A FOLDER AVAILABLE FOR SEVERAL YEARS, WITH HISTORICAL DATA.  RECENTLY, THE RECORD IS ALL THAT IS OBVIOUS.  IT IS AVAILABLE ON MY HARD DRIVE AND AN EXTERNAL DRIVE, BUT THE FILE HAS AN ARROW (?) IN THE CORNER, LOWER LEFT, UNLIKE ALL OTHER FOLDERS.  WHEN YOU TRY TO OPEN THE FILE, A MESSAGE IS DISPLAYS TO INDICATE "OR WORDS TO THAT EFFECT", NOT FOUND DRIVE OR DISK IS NOT INSTALLED.  I TRIED TO FIND THE CONTENTS TO THE RECYCLE BIN AND OPENING ALSO FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COMPUTER, BUT THE SAME MESSAGE APPEARS.  IS THERE A SOLUTION TO RESURRECT THE LOST MATERIAL?  Thank you.  JERRYremember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    The arrow indicates that this folder is really a 'shortcut' to one folder somewhere else.  If you right-click on it and select 'Properties', it will show the location where the file that it points to.  You probably thought you were copying a folder from one drive to another, but instead of copy, you have created a shortcut instead (maybe the "Alt" key was pressed when you dragged the folder?).  If you then remove the drive from which you copied, you will get the error because this player is not connected.

  • Change the contents of the message body and keep the attachments using a FolderListener

    Hello

    I need to change the content of specific e-mails when they are received on the device. I use a FolderListener to detect when the message arrives, and I'm able to edit the content of the message. The problem is, attachments are lost in the process, but I need to keep. I just want to change the body of the message.

    Here is my code:

    public void messagesAdded(FolderEvent e) {

      Message m = e.getMessage();
      Object content = m.getContent();

      if (content instanceof Multipart) {

        Multipart mp = (Multipart) content;

        for (int idx = 0; idx < mp.getCount(); idx++) {

          Object part = mp.getBodyPart(idx);

          if (part instanceof TextBodyPart) {

            mp.removeBodyPart(idx);
            break;
          }
        }
        TextBodyPart tbp = new TextBodyPart(mp, _res.getString(MSG_MAIL_CONTENT));
        mp.addBodyPart(tbp);
        m.setContent(mp);
      }
    }

    Any idea?

    Kind regards

    Have you tried the cloning message? Then you can just copy the attachment to you original if it is lost.

  • I can see the contents of the Clipboard?

    I can see the contents of the Clipboard on the desktop?

    There is no built-in Clipboard Viewer (about 22 years ago there used, but they stopped it even after Windows 3 due to changes in architecture).  The simplest solution is to open WordPad, and then press on stick to see what was in the Clipboard, there are many programs on the Internet, you can download that basically automate this - they continually ask the Clipboard to give its content and they show everything they find.

    A note: the content of the Clipboard is not stored in any file on your hard drive, they are put in memory only.  When the device is lost or restart the computer, the memory is cleared (such as a file not saved) and cannot be recovered.

  • Is it possible to use a Type of personalized content for the REST service operation messages?

    I try to POST to the third party, documentum of EMC, REST service using service broker in 8.53 peopletools integration operations. Unfortunately, the third party only accepts a content type of 'application/vnd.emc.documentum+json', which I could not send PeopleSoft and use a message definition at the same time.

    In my service operation, if I do NOT fill the request message I can POST to the URI with the such custom content type defined in the property page of the connector in the routing. I have not found a way to do it and also present JSON content on demand, since there is no message associated with the operation. Is it possible to include in this type of message content without using a request message?

    If I DO not fill the request message I can't POST successfully because the message content-type of "application/json" gets passed as the content-type instead of the value in the property page of the connector from the routing. Is it possible to change the content type during the use of a message definition?

    Thank you

    Paul

    Hi Paul - you can turn on tracing by using the on demand connection as follows:

    1. on the routing set detail header and detail "journal".

    2. Main Menu > PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Service Operations Monitor > Administration > control installation Options

    -Enable logging of the bridge

    -On the registration of demand = 5 (to enable detailed logging)

    Note: On request connection only works for the outgoing synchronous Services. In this case, we should be fine. You will find the by transaction log file on your gateway web server... / applications/peoplesoft/PSIGW.war/WEB-INF/.

    I did it for one of the REST service operations my test (I'm on 8.52.22). I have my content type of message the value application/json to the operation of the service page. On the routing page, I added a connector property content-type=application/vnd.emc.documentum+json.

    Here are the results on the integration gateway logs:

    Message-ID:<-.................@nowhere>

    The Content-Type of the delivery is sent as HTTP Connector of the target and the content of the message (text/json) Type property is always persistent (see the text in bold above). You can compare logs between your two scenarios (with and without the message in the POST) and see if you find something interesting.

    I even tried the following code to see if that helps, but I get the same results.

    & MSG. IBInfo.LoadRESTHeaders ();

    REM & MSG. IBInfo.ConnectorOverride = True;

    I'm working on a similar project at this moment where I'm integrating perceptual Nolij Web RESTful API (Document Management System). I had to resort to using a http client base (common of apache) java instead of broker of integration because of the similar frustrations with REST (cookies are lost, unable to deal with raw binary data in a response message, etc.).

    Benefits: Java provides total flexibility.

    Cons: As we are bypassing framework Integration Broker, we need everything (error handlng, logging, etc.) do it ourselves.

    I'm trying to update a site created by my predecessor offline. I've updated the model used, which created an insane amount of problems, more including fixed like today. When you try to update a single page using the template, the content of overlap. I find myself with 2 headers, footers 2 etc...  I thought it was because all the documents on the site (total 53, not too big) are detached from all models and the name of the editable regions on the documents do not exist, but even trying to match the areas to move the contents to the new regions just made a mess of things. My goal (I hope) is too simply update the site without going through all those contents that overlap. Please help, everybody.

    / * Tips for Elastic layouts
    1. Since the elastic layouts overall size is based on the user's default font size, they are more unpredictable. Used correctly, they are also more accessible for those who need larger fonts given the length of the line remains proportionate.
    2. sizing of the divs in this provision are based on 100% font size in the body element. If you decrease the overall size of the text by using a font size: 80% on the body element or the #container, remember that the complete provision will reduce proportionally. You can increase the widths of the divs to compensate for this.
    3. If the sizing of fonts is changed in different quantities on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is a font size of 70% and #mainContent has a font size of 85%), this will change proportionally each of the overall size of divs. You can adjust the base on your final sizing of fonts.

    1 be aware that if you set a value for the font size on this div, the width of the div will be adjusted accordingly.
    2. as we work in ems, it is preferable not to use the filling in the sidebar itself. It will be added to the width for browsers compatible standards creating a real unknown width.
    3. the space between the wall of the div and the items it contains can be created by placing a margin left and right on these items as seen in the rule ".twoColElsLtHdr #sidebar1 p.

    margin-right: 10px;
    background-color: #066;
    text-decoration: inherit;
    }

    / * MainContent tips:
    1. If you give this div #mainContent a value of different size of the div # sidebar1″, the margins of the #mainContent div will be based on the font size and the width of the div #sidebar1 depend on the size of the font. You can adjust the values of these divs.
    2. the space between the mainContent and sidebar1″ is created with the left on the mainContent div margin regardless of how content div the sidebar1″ contains, the space of the columns will remain. You can remove the left margin if you want the #mainContent div text to fill the space of #sidebar1 when the content of #sidebar1 is complete.
    3. to avoid falling of float, you may have to test to determine the size of the image/approximate maximum element because this provision is based on the calibration of fonts the user combined with the values that you set. However, if the user has their browser game lower than normal font size, less space will be available in the #mainContent div that you see on the test.
    4. in the Internet Explorer conditional comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout". This avoids several specific IE bugs that may occur.

    Make sure you have editable regions in the body of your template set properly before you start it. Also, make sure that you have made a backup copy of your current site (copy the ROOT folder and paste it somewhere on your disk).

    OK - Here's what you need to do:

    0 make a backup of your current website (copy the ROOT folder and paste it somewhere on your disk).

    1. create a new page in your current template (file > New > Site templates > (Site) > (model selection) > Create.) Make sure the checkbox "Update Page when the template is changed" is checked.

    2. thanks to this new page open, open page 1 of 51 pages and copy and paste the contents of each editable area of page 1 in the same area can be changed to your new page.

    3. close page 1.

    4. save the new page with the name of the page of 1 so that the old page 1 is replaced by a new one.

    5. Repeat this operation for all 51 pages.

    Sorry, it's so tedious, but in the end, you will once more a fully controlled model site.

    Moreover, before leaving page 1 and the graphs closing this file, please post here any questions you may have.

  • Published site has a huge gap between the content and the footer

    So I just publish my site and when I watch it after be published, I got a good gap 2 inches between the bottom of the content and the footer.

    I read on a number of bits and pieces and they tell you Colin have a container hidden on the pages that I accepted it completely so I looked and nothing. I thought then it might be a problem with the master page I used, then verified that. Could not see it.

    However when I looked through my site and saw the master pages, I used, I had a mix and some worked and some didn't. IM lost!

    I launch the Sam and is a bit of a pain. Someone had this problem? The preview looks perfect, not sure where this gap comes so im.

    Thanks in advance!

    In case there still this gap, please provide us with the URL of your Web site so that we can have a look at the issue.

    Kind regards

    Sachin
