sidebar (on the left) of the contents of the folder my documents appeared (I don't know how) and I can't get rid of

Recently, without apparent reason, the folder of my documents (an icon on my desktop) opened to display its content in a sidebar on the left side of my desk. How can I get rid of this sidebar?

Hi Brian
I managed to get this window to disappear while zooming, right-click on it and click on disable certain options that appeared.
Thank you!
