Continues to forget photos it has already imported some images

He is a fairly regular event.  I looked for a discussion that covers it, and if I missed it, apologies. I have found none.  Some images that I feel are either HDR images or possibly another feature I haven't identified, appear almost everytime I plug my iPhone 6 (fully updated) on my iMac.  I've been manually delete them after you import Photos, but it's boring and all simply, it shouldn't happen. Most of these problem photos was that I saved text messages, that is, they have been taken by someone else on an iPhone and sent a text message to me. I found that a few images very, very old stopped appearing as 'new '.  The problem currently extends to images taken in January 2016 (4-5 months).  Old images that one used to behave this way decided to leave appear as "new".  Apple, if you're reading this, please assign someone to look into the issue. If anyone has a way to get it to stop, please speak.  Thank you.

  • Old photos have reproduced after importation, the images from the camera

Original title: pictures were reproduced during the transfer of the camera

Hi - I clicked on import images from my camera to the computer that has been done successfully, but my old pictures exist duplicate? /?  I had checked before hand on the help page - where windows 7 stipulate that

Why I can't choose which photos or videos to import?

Windows detects your images and your most recent videos and is not a duplicate of the old photos or video versions that you have already copied to your computer, so you can import your pictures and videos in a single step. You can then view and organize your photos in the photo library. For more information on the management and organization of photos in the photo library, see Managing your photos. You can also view your images imported into the Windows Photo Viewer, where the large preview format makes it easier to decide which newly imported pictures to delete from your computer. For more information on the display of your pictures in Windows Photo Viewer, view and use your pictures in Windows Photo Viewer.

To organize your videos, you can use the videos library. For more information about managing and organizing your videos in the videos library, see Managing your videos.

If you could help with a quick method to remove all my duplicate photos I would really appreciate it.  I have nearly 400 of them

    Hello

Did you use the functionality of Windows or all third-party software to import files previously?

    Sorry to hear that.

When you import files, the same files will not be imported if the file names are the same. If you used a third-party software to import files previously, then the name of the file may be different.

You can sort files by date and then try to remove the recently added files however, you should recognize the duplicate files.

See the site for how to sort the files:

Organize, sort, or group your files

  • Fewer steps to move has already imported pictures to the desktop folder in the LR catalog.

I'm sure this has been asked and I just use a terminology inappropriate then forgive me.  I'm trying to get a group of imported pictures that currently link to a folder on the desktop in my LR catalog instead.

    I use a Mac.

    Thank you for your help.

    Dan

Sure.  Yes, I imported the photos in lightroom, but they were not copied to the LR making catalog. I can not use the term 'catalogue' correctly. I am referring to the designated folder system where LR stores all of my original images.  I have used inadvertently the function 'Add' during their import?

Photos imported into Lightroom are indeed in the Lightroom Catalog. There's no other way.

If you used the option Add instead of the COPY option, you would have to do one of the following values (only one, not both of them or all three):

    1. Move photos to the desired inside Lightroom (select all the pictures, then drag them to the desired folder, everything is done entirely in Lightroom). OR
    2. Move the pictures in your operating system to the folder desired; Then, you will find that each photo in Lightroom has an exclamation point icon; Click on the exclamation point icon, and then select the new folder (see these instructions: How to find missing pictures in Photoshop Lightroom ). OR
    3. remove photos from Lightroom (this will remove also publishes, metadata, collections, etc.) and then import them using COPY

I prefer option 2, but option 3 is actually easiest if you have not yet completed all the work on photos.

    Hi jackdevant,

It might be possible that the image names are identical, this is the reason why you are not able to import images into Lightroom.

Please check if the names are the same or not?

  • Import: Image think Photos is already imported

    Hello!

I had this problem at the time where I used iPhoto instead of Photos as well. The problem persists with Photos.

When I was important with iPhoto, the rare but not too rare occasions, iPhoto show me one of the images I tried to import next to an old already imported picture, which is completely different from one being imported, asking me if I would like to import this duplicate image already imported. The two images were nothing so much, I do not understand why you would think that they are the same.

My NEX - 6 has a DSCXXXXX of naming system, the Xs is numbers. I think it started from the beginning once before, after hitting DSC99999, months there are many, but I don't think that's the problem. Only one or two images (off maybe a hundred) imported would be confused with photos already imported.

Photos seems to do the same thing, but in a most annoying manner. iPhoto will ask if I want to import the "duplicate" in any way, but just Photos sticks Photos under already imported, who can bring mixed with photos in fact already imported. For this reason, I have to format the card on the camera after each import, which is boring and annoying that I liked to carry a portable backup with me on camera.

Here, the image shows that the images "Already imported" were taken on July 28. It is today. The last import what I did yesterday, I come back from a shoot. I remember taking this picture about an hour ago, and I certainly not imported anything today. Photos of restarting does not solve the problem, or don't take out them and reinsert the SD card.

The evidence here, the last image was taken on 27 yesterday.

It's a bit of a pain. Someone at - it ideas? Any response would be highly appreciated! I have not been able to find an answer or a similar position elsewhere, if there is, please excuse me. Thank you!

I have not seen this, but sometimes I had tell me I was import a duplicate image when both had nothing to do with each other at all - I just short it off as because it's a computer - and I do not have seen all the other posts on this subject

  • Remove photos already imported into iphoto using several libraries

    Hello

I am running iPhoto 9.5.1 and due to the large amount of photos that I take and trying to stay organized, I have multiple iPhoto libraries. I'm in a situation where I have pictures on a card of the camera, which belong to two different libraries. When I opened one, I see all of the available import photos (as I have never imported it none of them, but want to import some of them). When I opened another library, I see some already imported and some available import (as I already imported some). At this point, I want to delete only on the map, those that were imported, so that when I open the first library, the only photos showing import, are those who are new and have never been imported in the previous library. A bit complicated, I know, but I will not reproduce in several libraries. So my question... when I see the line of photos already imported into iPhoto, is there a way to select and iPhoto just delete them camera card? I tried, but I can't seem to make it happen. If not, does anyone have another suggestion how to proceed (if all goes well simply), making sure that I don't accidentally lose pictures?

Thank you very much in advance for any help

    rostopovitch

It's complicated! How many photos are on the map? To really have control, I would probably want to delete the photos using the finder. But for this, you have to have a master list of what to get rid from that should be kept. I think you want to close iPhoto before deleting anything.

Fat Cat Software has a program called iPhoto Library Manager that really made these much easier questions for me. He made comparing libraries and move photos between libraries much easier. I don't think that you can use for your problem exactly, but you would be able to load it all into a library to be sure you had everything and then move or copy photos as needed. I recommend it if you plan to keep this multiple configuration of the library. http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iPLM/

  • Why Lightroom re - import photos already imported from my iPhone 5?

I noticed that if I use Lightroom to import photos from my iPhone, it fails to recognize that it has already imported to them. I do not see this behavior when my Canon imporing. How to make LR to recognize what it is already imported?

    A question of "stupid":

Have you disabled - top right of the import dialog box?

It should be checked when you do not want "old" photos to import again.

  • Photo and video of the wizard import and library in Windows 7 "is not" photos and video previously imported from the iPhone

I am trying to import photos/videos from my iphone to my Win 7 PC.  I imported the photos from my iphone a few days ago, but not a not erase them the iPhone when I imported.  Now I want to re - import these pictures and delete them, but I can't.  Apparently, the Win 7 photo/video import wizard (and photo gallery of Win) remembers if you have already imported some photos, and if you have, it doesn't let you "import" them later.  He can't even see them - it just says no: "no new pictures or videos on this device" or similar.  Is there a way to disable the photo how the Import Wizard remember already imported photos, so I can just import all the photos that are on the iphone, regardless if they were imported before?

My biggest problem is that always seems to be no easy way to delete all the photos on an iphone using Win 7, unless you remove them from the iphone as you download them on your PC.  Unfortunately, because I have already downloaded the photos without removing iPhone, the photo Import Wizard is not even 'see' the most and won't let me not re - import (allowing me to erase from the iphone).

A related issue - I think I should be able to browse my iphone through Windows Explorer image files and copy them to my computer, everything as I would by plugging into any camera to my computer.  Win 7 seems to detect the iphone OK device in Windows Explorer, but when I browse the image files they are empty (even though there are hundreds of photos on the iphone).

I've been struggling with this for hours, and it shouldn't be this hard.  I'm a PC user since a long time, but new on Win 7 (I can't find where everything is more) and relatively new to iPhones.  Help?

First, you must use iTunes to * manage * photos and music * on * your iPhone. You
can't do what you want to use anything native to Windows 7. Or with Windows Live
    Phot Gallery.

iTunes is actually pretty intuitive when it comes to synchronization of content.

  • Photos only displays videos to 2013 when there are videos iOS clear in 2010.  When I try to re - import videos from my iMac, hard drive, I get a message saying that these videos are already imported, but I can't see them.

I don't know what it is but Photos only shows videos of courses on April 22, 2013.  I have iOS videos of 2010 on my hard drive on my iMac, but cannot see them in the pictures.  When I try re - import the photos in the hard drive gives me a message saying that they are already imported but asks if I would like to import again.  If I import them once again, I can see them under import last but still do not see in all the pictures or videos.  It is across all devices.  I cannot see them on iMac Photos program, cannot see them on iCloud.com in pictures, can not see them in the pictures on any iPad (mini (3rd generation) or Air 2) or iPhone 6s.

  • The contents of the iPhoto library "copy of iPhoto library" has already been migrated to Photos.  Open the Photos to display your library or use a compatible version of iPhoto to open the iPhoto library. How can I fix?

The contents of the iPhoto library "copy of iPhoto library" has already been migrated to Photos.  Open the Photos to display your library or use a compatible version of iPhoto to open the iPhoto library.

    What you trying to do?

You want to open your iPhoto library in iPhoto or the new Photos.app?  and what version of Mac OS X and iPhoto you have installed on your Mac?

If you have improved your Mac to Mac OS X 10.11,2, El Capitan, you can open your photo libraries or in News Photos for application mac or you can continue to use iPhoto, but only iPhoto 9.6.1 will work on El Capitan.

IPhoto update (see user tip of Barney: cannot be updated iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store)

Once an iPhoto Library was opened in Photos the extension will change to ".migratedphotolibrary".  To open this library in iPhoto again, change the extension of filename in '.photolibrary '.

  • How can I remove photos from my iPhone that were already imported pictures?

    Hi all

The camera on my iPhone now has 2000 + photos on it which have already been imported. photos (not iPhoto). At least I am sure that I imported the. Photos knows that they have been imported, but I see no easy way to just delete the photos that have already been imported. What should do?

I ran a test, import of some of them and by checking the box "delete after importing", and it was successfully deleted photos off the phone. BUT each of the imports is now duplicated in my photo library. What a drag! I don't want to have to go manually by the bias of 2000 + photos, manually remove duplicates when Photos already know that they were already imported at first.

In iPhoto, you can plug in your phone, import your photos but not the remove immediately after the import, and the next time you connect your phone, iPhoto would say "XX pictures have already been imported. You want to remove them? "It's ideal for cautious people who wanted to verify that the photos had successfully transferred before deleting.

Any help? Is there something that I am missing in Photos?

    Thank you. -Josh

You can selectively remove from your phone with the Image Capture (in the Applications folder).

  • LR CC I try to process a photo that shows celluloid, says 'file was not found", try to import said:"already imported"

I have LR CC, about to delete the whole program. I try to process a photo that shows celluloid, says 'file was not found", try to import said:"already imported "... Until I give up fact together, someone has any ideas my obviously simple mind can grasp? I am quite proficient in photoshop, lost at sea with lightroom... Thanks in advance for clues...

It is possible that the file has been moved. It is possible, if the folder is on an external hard drive, the drive letter has changed. Without more details, it is difficult to diagnose. One thing you can try is to right click on the folder in the library module, choose the option to update the location of the folder. Then use the dialog box that appears at the point Lightroom folder.

  • Apply the corrections lenses on the already imported photos

    Hello

I just started using Lightroom CC and I imported my collection of Aperture in Lightroom using the automatic import of the Lightrooms function.

After some time, I discovered the correction lens Lightroom function. Now I want to apply the setting of correction of lens on all images in a folder (or folders more) at a time instead of doing image by image in the develop module.

The only 'multi apply the function' I can find some time is to import the photos. I can't find a way to apply the corrections of the goal on the photos already imported. Who has an idea on how to do it?

    Thanks in advance, Arthur

In the develop module, select all the images in the film. Auto-Sync lights up and then apply the lens correction to one of the images. This correction will apply to all images that are highlighted.

  • My iPhone does not to import! How can I appear in the Photos and delete those that are already imported?

My iPhone does not to import! How can I appear in the Photos and delete those that are already imported?

My iPad appears fine with an option to import the 'new' photos and then delete them once they are imported. However my iPhone appears not at all on the pictures. Although most is already imported via the cloud, some are not, but more importantly, I would remove at least half of 30 000 photos that are taking place on my phone and a "clear items after button import" would be nice right now! I tried to turn off photo stream on my phone, but it still does not appear in the application.

    What can I do?

    Thank you!

If you use iCloud photo library you cannot delete pictures after the import (or) - deletions on any device will be on all devices - if storage is a question about a device set to use optimized photos
