  Server load rules files are stored on the Essbase server and can be shared by / read byde anyone with privileges on the same server. Local rules are floating just around 'somewhere' - I have never seen the point. It's not as if you need to access the file server system to save to the server.

  AM trying to buplish a VI on my local machine but the ongoing browser gives this error "required VI is not loaded in the server co0mputer.

  I have checked all the recommended server configurations and saved the VI in the Labview www folder

  What could be the problem and the possible solution.

  Install all along planning to Server1 products and configure them.

• PES and GSS server load

  The documentation States it is advisable to run 2 or more GSS and I wonder if I can just run 1 GSS on the same instance as my PES? I'm trying to understand what kind of work load a GSS and server PES takes in a production environment, not yet in production. We do not run awareness, research, CCS, or ACI and the only scenarios that we have configured are for individual events and actions, so it doesn't seem like the PES or GSS are facing a lot of load and should have no problem running on the same server. I realize that every site is different, so there is no clear answer, but maybe someone can help explain the expected load of these 2 servers when running workflows and STANDARD scenarios.

  PES and GSS servers can run on the same instance.
  If it has no flow of work or obtaining scenarios published frequently then PES server will have minimal use.
  And GSS server manage collective scenarios like sending promotional emails etc.
  If you don't have many collective scenarios with the GSS and PES on the same server will not impact lift.

  We used only GSS and a PSE configured on the same server on 120 server cluster and didn't find any problems.
  I used a setup similar to many customers.

• See the connection to the server, load balancer & physical workstations

  We deploy a VMWare view environment and we use a combination of physical and virtual desktops.

  When install us the Agent to view physical workstations with the /V "VDM_VC_MANAGED_Agent = 0" settings. " This allows to specify the Server Manager to view to record the workstation during installation.

  So far we've just been specifying a connection view servers and everything was fine. But now we are getting our deployment and we want to ensure that we have the appropriate redundancy built in.

  If the server connection view that physical workstation is registered during installation fails, is grave view agent automatically knows to start watching one of the replica servers?

  If it isn't... We are keen to implement a load balancer between the workstations phyiscal on connection view servers. Are there problems with it?

  I found many articles balancer redundancy and load for VMWare View, but none don't talk specifically a load balancer between physical work stations with the agent of the view and connection servers.

  Take a look in the registry on the physical Machine, he must list all available connection brokers it.

  Is it possible to find the amount of vitrual machine I can load on the esx host server. My boss wants to know how many virtual machine I can load on esx server before we pay additional storage.

  There are several factors which will go in answering a question like that on both sides - the virtual machine and server - physics

  Physical server - what type of processors? The number of cores? The amount of memory? What type of storage? How many cards? -to get a rough estimate

  • Plan of CPU on 4 virtual processors by heart - so if you a dual Quad core you should be ok with single vcpu 32 virtual machines running on it.

  • For the record, ESX has done a great job of allowing you to approve the memory, but if you want to be conservative have total memory VM equals the total ESX Server memory - for example, you place 1 32 GB VM on the host at leats, you will want to have 32 GB of RAM being cautious but realistic you can VMs with 38 GB to 40 GB of memory

  Virtual machines - you understand the load that will place the virtual machines on the server - for example, you'll be welcome fewer servers of data compared to the responsible lightlly of web servers.

• XML doesn't load server, loads locally

  I can't start my project to load my XML file when I put the whole thing on the server. It works fine when I saw using Flash Player. But when it is loaded into an HTML page on the server that I get nothing. I use jquery to dynamically insert the flash object on the page (developing here.). The flash object is deeper than the page calling it in fact several files and the XML file is referenced to the same level as the file flash itself. I also went through the penalty to put a crossdomain.xml on server (plu.edu) file, but which do not seem to fix anything.

  Thanks to all who have responded to this post. For anyone else reading this post trying to get the XML to load correctly, my problem was wearing on the path of the XML file. To remedy this problem, I put a default path that is relative to the .swf file. Then, I used the flashvars in the javascript code to transmit the location of the XML file. This allows me to get a glimpse of my flex application locally and in a production environment when it is inserted in a page. I'll post my code flex and javascript for anyone interested. I use jquery and the plugin flash.

  I have a client who is just now dealing with a migration from a platform of client-server 6i (using Terminal servers) to a platform of web forms 10 g with several application 10 g standalone servers.
  
  In the end, customer wants to activate load balancing in order to have some manage to each application server workload.
  
  The idea to accomplish is to have a hardware load balancer. The customer has already a CISCO CSS 11503 SSL.
  Is there a documentation where I can check more info on compatibility/configuration for this architecture.

  It say everything and anything mention on a load balancer, but I'll try to keep the research.

  Did anyone used the Barracuda Load balancers in their view environment.  I'm at the point where I need the redundancy and load balancing.  I have used Barracuda b4 for webserver load balancing but seeks information associated with discover.

  Aside from that, what are your experiences with others like F5, Cisco or any other.

  We use virtual appliances of LB of Riverbed Stingray (previously ZXTM Zeus) for some time now for the view and many other services and never had any problems with them. They also offer the same thing in a tin can.

  They have a huge amount of functions of management traffic, GLB, Application aware, the unloading TCP & SSL, etc, etc..

  Here's my situation: I plan to spend my web forms 6i application using Forms 10 g. My application running fine (for now) and we have

  1000 - 12000 idle sessions
  
  I wonder if a server can handle such an application? Is a better solution to JDeveloper (which has a huge cost is a huge demand) or to use a very powerful server fact? Any idea?

• Really nooby question about background/foreground and background/contour switch.

  I was recently introduced to Photoshop through work and I use it for an amount of things to many successful however recently after using a tinkering with the Brush tool and background/foreground color in the Toolbox I am unable to return to change colors of background/outline. I searched online a fair bit for all solutions to this problem, but nothing helped. Whenever I paint forms that they simply appear as colorless with no fill or stroke and just sketch it that I drew. Could someone please direct me how to change the icon of the 2 area (x button) to return to the power change and change my background/border colors? I understand that it is probably quite simple, but it feels like I hit a brick wall with a lot of sharp rusty nails sticking out it >. <
