• The volume control in the mixer Volume for Skype is always set to very low for new calls.

  Hey all!

  It's really annoying to have to adjust the volume in the Volume mixer upside whenever there is a new call. I have no volume of speakers set to automatic in the options, and I have no idea what else controls the adjustment for volume.

  It is not enough that Skype (now a Microsoft product) can't understand the audio, I use as ANY OTHER program (i.e. for other programs to plug my headphones is enough sound to be redirected here but NOT for Skype. For Skype, that I have to go into settings and change the sound output device!). I use Skype for a few years due to its good call quality, but if I can't find a solution for this I have to change to another similar product.

  My system is a 64Pro of Win7.

  All ideas will be more appreciated!

  There is a setting in Windows 7, I don't know about other versions - (tab Communications/sounds/Control Panel that tells Windows to automatically reduce the volume of other sounds when the PC is used to place or receive calls.

  Skype is SO smart that it reduces the volume of itself too when there is an incoming call, and so all incoming calls have a lower volume.
  
  To solve the problem simply to set the option to "do nothing"...

  This is possible in 2009 in Module NXT and NXT earlier toolkits.  In 2009, just write your code NXT in a VI that is not the target of the NXT (e.g. it is targeted at the Instance of the Application My Computer/hand).  The VI NXT know when they are targeted on the computer and automatically send direct orders to the NXT brick via USB or Bluetooth.

  In previous versions of the tool NXT, you must use the Direct screw of NXT to accomplish the same task, which is not as transparent as the new method, but all works the same.  Please let us know if you have any questions about how to apply this.

  This problem occurs because some legacy applications use files or components that were developed prior to Windows Vista. The names of these audio components may be different in Windows Vista. If the calling application uses the hard-coded file names, the new files and components could not be found.

  To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods to change the audio settings for a device.

  Method 1: Use the order Volume of Windows

  To use the Volume of Windows command to change the audio settings for a device, follow these steps:

  1. right click on the speaker in the notification area icon and then click recording devices or reading.

  2. double-click on the device for which you want to adjust the settings. For example, double-click on Microphone.

• Scrolling the mouse will pass only volume in the mixer volume if flying over directly.

  By clicking on the mixer volume bottom right of your taskbar displays the master volume mixer. Normally once you do this, you can adjust the volume by using the scroll wheel on your mouse whenever your mouse is on the desktop. In my case this works if my mouse is located directly on the bar, not only the popup volume [see red outline in pic].

  This problem came after I formatted my computer, I have no other problems. I checked the latest updated driver for my mouse and used the driver or program is to my mouse but nothing worked. It's frustrating because literally every single other computer, this option doesn't work. Specifications of the computer below. The next thing I want to try is switching on the mouse, I just have to get your hands on one. Meanwhile the guys/girls do you have ideas? I think there must be some kind of software or questioning.

  I determined the problem, this is for all those who may have a similar problem in the future.

  It's a mouse button assigning app called 'X - Mouse Button Control' I use this app to assign my 4 and 5 mouse button to the multimedia keys. To re install this application after I formatted my computer a setting has been changed. Specifically 'Make scroll wheel scroll window under cursor' once I have disabled this feature all my problems have been solved.

• No sound from AOL 9.5 and Quicken ONLY on Windows 7. Shows no more in the mixer

  AOL 9.5 and Quicken system sounds do NOT work.

  Ideas:

  • AOL 9.5 and Quicken 2010 sounds do NOT work on Windows 7.
  • No error message.
  • Restore the system restore point - worked fine before, now after re-installing AOL and Quicken NO SOUND... but sound of ELSE EVERYTHING WORKS very WELL.
  • All the sounds of AOL under settings, multimedia redefined and all sounds under preferences in QUICKEN. Reinstalled the two programs three times. No program appears under the mixer (should they? because they is not if they should show). Have done all the restoration of sounds under settings AOL 9.5.
  Can't seem to find anything wrong - no problem of sound card with drivers etc, should see the AOL under the soundmixer is not there (or QUicken) and if so - how to show... maybe that's the problem.
  * Also if I go into Control Panel, put to update the default he is a US_AOL (my email) and US_AOL (default)... plus all the regular sounds... AOL sounds have a "yellow" folder if it means something and all the others are white - ALSO when I hit the ' test' button in this area on AOL files... NOTHING...   I feel almost 10 seconds following the playing audio mixer Panel.  In other words, I'm reading a multitrack recording and trying to mix.  I move a fader all the way downwards or upwards (just to see where the volume change occurs.  On the screen of the virtual command moves immediately.  But the audio level for this track does not change for almost 10 seconds (!).  I am running hearing CC 2015 on a portable high-end (Windows 8.1 Pro, Intel Core i7, 16 GB of RAM, all SSDS).  Realtek sound card is integrated.  I tried MS and WASAPI audio hardware parameters, and ASIO4All to emulate the ASIO for this sound card.  The question remains.

  Any thoughts on what is happening or how to fix?  I rebooted (no change).  And I swear it worked a few days ago, both with the faders from moving the mouse, as well as through my Zoom R24 connected USB as a control surface.  I'm puzzled.

  I'm lost... I had an overall on reverberation previously typed response, noticed you spent in the Studio Reverb and completely removed the little reverb.   DOH!  Listen at your own risk!

  Reverb is not really designed for use in real time - I get a warning that it might not work if I select in a multitrack rack of effects (although I can get away with one or two iterations usually in small sessions.  FYI, this is the kind of a hold on since the time of Cool Edit Pro when NO effect was in real time - you apply while waveform, made, did save slot, then put them in your mix.  Enough of us like some of the verbs they left autour even thought that it works well in the mixture of real time.

  This kind of which brings me to a work around you can use - if do you a mixture of sup of the bus lane, apply reverb to this mixture of void, save money, and then import the result into your mix, you can use reverb.

  However, I have to ask... what version of Audition are you on?  I certainly have an option of pre-rendered on the fader of Bus on the Panel of the mixer.  On the FX section, the controls will On / Off. Pre/Post selection then the lightning PreRender.  If you have a lot of tracks, maybe each fader is narrowed down if you do not receive all shown at the same time?

  Parental restrictions on mini iPad 16 GB of my granddaughter running iOS 9.3.5 (original version) do not seem to allow parents to control properly the child access iTunes. We have music, news and Podcasts (iTunes), reserved for the 'Clean' as opposed to 'Explicit', but he is always happy that we find unacceptable.
