Control of the resources of the Machine

Is there a way I can put the resources of the machine when im plans based NetApp FlexClone - creation models

Or will the amount of RAM that is always picked up from the model? and that's why I need a model for my normal instance (2xCPU and 3 GB of RAM) and another model for an instance Lite (1xCPU and 1 GB of RAM)

I tried specifying a custom property: VirtualMachine.Memory.Size but it made no difference. I can't change what the action plan as it changes back again once so presumably the model replaces the value of nay?

I have not Advanced Services

Thank you

Jon

cegjd - vRA/vCAC affects the size of the vCenter model at that point you the action plan the minimum CPU/memory. You cannot set the lower values that the model is configured for. If you want it lower, you will need to reduce model resources.

A separate note on this subject, be sure to set the number of CPUS to 1 if you allow users to select processors how they want. If set you it to 2 and try to build a virtual machine with vRA and you select an odd number of CPUS the build fails. We have discovered this the hard way and we puzzled for a day.

  • Powder dosing machine? Direct control of the engines?

    Hello world

I hope it was not shown below, but I start my worki with nxt and labviev and a certain problem.

I want to build a dosing of powder, which consists of two conductors of powder (driven by motors) and the weight of lab controlled by RS232.

The goal is to be able to make precise mixtures in order to weigh the empty box of weight, tare, and then adds a charger of the weight of the powder (A) checks how much gave - if not enough adds some etc... etc... continued with 2 powder and mix to...

The problem is that I know that I can write the labview NXT program to run the NXT brick, but it would be very complicated to use - the best way would be to take direct control over the engine via NXT - therefore when I want the engine to move a few degrees it should not start the program in the nxt brick do the program level LAbview... IS this possible? Can I use brick NXT as a controller of engine itself?

    Thank you

    Marek

    Marek,

This is possible in 2009 in Module NXT and NXT earlier toolkits.  In 2009, just write your code NXT in a VI that is not the target of the NXT (e.g. it is targeted at the Instance of the Application My Computer/hand).  The VI NXT know when they are targeted on the computer and automatically send direct orders to the NXT brick via USB or Bluetooth.

In previous versions of the tool NXT, you must use the Direct screw of NXT to accomplish the same task, which is not as transparent as the new method, but all works the same.  Please let us know if you have any questions about how to apply this.

  • Quarter playback controls when the 3rd party app plays

When a 3rd party application plays on my iPhone (Audible, Castro,...), my Apple Watch does not show the playback controls to it. Wait for the watch to show the same controls as the control center on my iPhone. But it shows a Play button and gray < <>> / buttons. Manual control for the headphone feature is required for the software.  I have had THREE phones to do exactly the same thing and I don't even use the headphones - I have a speakerphone bluetooth and headphones, so it is inexplicible why my phone would enter the headset mode and do not release the mode headphones - do not let me do a phone call that is not involving the speaker.  Apple insists on the fact that this problem is not common, but it happened to 100% of the phones that I have owned.

It is not common in the vast majority of users.

If you wish to have a such feature manual control available, http://www.apple.com/feedback/ will be a good resource for this comments.

Otherwise, try to restore your iPhone as new and not a backup test to see if the problem is back by restoring your backup on each of these phones.

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  • Keyboard and a chain of control to the screen

I feel a strange behaviour when I use the keyboard (OSK) and a chain of control on the screen.

I develop an application that you can use the OSK to enter some data on a touch screen with no physical keyboard. I have a Machine to States Event-Driven set up at the key event to the bottom when a word/characters are entered and the user presses the Enter key on the OSK. I noticed that if I probe the wire wuen Vcle I press the Enter key on the OSK, it appears like a back press. Not much, I thought, just to see if the Enter key is pressed and continue on.

When I went to test my program, I noticed that my values were as if nothing has been entered. Digging a little further, I noticed that my original data are still there if I press the BACKSPACE and delete the return order. Probe string wire in the control of the chain indicates that the value comes back as an empty string in my control channel even if my entire string is physically still there. I can press the BACKSPACE (remove the carriage return) and see my original text. What, in my view, that happens, is when I press the Enter key on the OSK, it inserts something and moves my text upwards or downwards, and when I use the node property to retrieve the data in the control of the chain, I get an empty string.

How did you get around this? I would like to hear your solutions.

Have you tried right-clicking on the control of the chain (assuming that it is "ID mould to enter") and by assigning the value 'limit to the single line "? Sounds like your settings cause hit enter to add a line instead of the finish of your entry change. (You can also change the behavior of 'back' in your settings of LabVIew)

  • Control to the Clipboard

Is it possible to copy a control to the Clipboard? As I discovered is is possible to paste text into the windows clipboard. My intention is to create a small application that finds GPIB-addresses from a network definition file and copy to a VISA-resource (or constant) control to the Clipboard. Thus, in any VI I can run just my little app that I start from the LabView Menu, select my device and have a constant resource VISA or a control to the Clipboard the idea so far. It is possible to copy and paste a control from a VI-is it possible by programming?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ben

Not all browsers support the option parts hanging out. Save the image to your hard drive, and then drag it from there in a vacuum VI.

As a general rule, access the new VI object primitives and other scripts options to enable the script in the Options dialog box (in 2010, in earlier versions, you need to download the installer API script separately).

  • Using a control of the chain with the Enter key, return * and * allowing repeated identical entry

    Hi all

There must be a simple solution for this, but it's Friday afternoon, and my brain is not cooperating.

I create a simple terminal through which a user can interact with an instrument. My question is about the only query string control. The button send and the Terminal Table are here for reference.

    Here is my desired behavior:

    (a) the user types a command in the field of the query, tape input or return. An event is triggered, and the request is sent to the instrument. The focus remains on the field in the query.

    (b) with any other action the interface user, the user types Enter or return again and again, by triggering an event that sends the request to the instrument every time Enter or return is typed. The focus remains on the field in the query.

    Here's what I have:

This allows for one), but fails to b). The reason is, because the value of the field in the query has not changed, change value event does not fire when the user starts to spam keys enter or return. There is a way around this, as suggested by this post. Here is the solution in a few words:

Instead of looking for the change in the value of the query command, the event fires for each key event to the bottom of the control and resembles a pressure of enter key or return. What attracts the user action, even if the content of the field of the request have not changed. The problem with this approach is that, when this event fires, I need to read the value of the query string order and send it to the instrument, but the value I get via the local Variable query is the old value, probably because the key down event fires before the value of query is saved as changed. Is there a way to programatically "enter" the contents of the control channel so it is recorded as a change in value, until I have the question via a local Variable? Is there a different way I should go about it? I'd rather not do anything that bound the input keys or return to this particular area, since I have many other UI elements that need these keys in my program.

If not, is there a way to make the control of the fire 'Change of value' query string event when the user presses enter or return even if the value has not changed?

    Thank you for your comments!

    I thought about it.

    (1) control of the string (query) a value of update while typing.

    (2) save the key event down to the control of the chain. If the entry or return was pressed, send the state machine to the State 'send request '.

    (3) in the application 'send' State read control channel via the local Variable value.

This is the desired behavior to allow the user repeatedly hit entry or return to regularly send a command, and the user can also type in a new order and send it by pressing enter or return.

Thanks to all who have helped me this something to think about!

  • Spooky: Front lost control of the scheme code

I have a LabVIEW (Win7-64B LabVIEW 14.0 32 bit) program that behaves a little bit scary.

On some occasions, while the LabVIEW tandis que le LabVIEW programme program is running, suddenly the front panel controls are no longer read by the process of block diagram. So that's what I see:

    • The program runs, processes the data, and updates indicators as expected.
    • The run button is in unmanaged mode even if the program continues to run.
    • The button abandon red is not functional - push has no effect.
    • The block diagram can be debugged, simple staircase and breakpoints.
    • The controls on the front panel are not read and the program cannot be stopped because it is based on the action of the Panel before doing so.
    • The run button is non-functional in the sense that it can be pressed in run mode, but he has no apparent effect on the State of the block already running diagram.
    • The only way to stop the program is closing the front panel.
    • The behavior occurs at random times, is annoyingly frequent, but not enough (frequent) to make debugging by elimination of effective code.

The program is a construction of State machine using queued messages and access material cRIO via shared variables.

I know that this information is rather rare in which case debugging suggestions, but in which direction to look for all ideas are welcome.

Some of these could possibly be explained by things like the user interface is locked by a structure of the event or updates to defer property is set on the Panel or being stuck in a call from the DLL, but there is another option that seems to match your description a little: https://lavag.org/topic/17049-windows-aero-theme-and-lockup/?p=104728

When I saw him it was in an EXE file, so I can't comment on things like execution of arrows, but it was definitely a case where the VI was certainly running and updating the user interface, but was not receiving updates of the user interface.

  • Vista's Parental control prevents the launch of iTunes Store - allowing sites Web does NOT resolve.

My daughter is unable to launch the iTunes store in iTunes when parental control is on.  If I turn off parental control it works.  See this post- http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistamedia/thread/64a593eb-8ae4-4605-86f6-8a941244f2d1/ - the answer it does NOT solve the problem, and you can see at least 3 others have the same problem as I am.

    To reproduce:
    -Download and install iTunes.
-Create a user of Vista with Parental controls active.
-Log in as user, and launch iTunes.  This method works.
-Try to access the iTunes Store.  It hangs and never ends.
-Add web sites to the list of 'Green' in the Parental control as suggested in the post mentioned above.  This has no effect.
-Select "allow all websites and content.  There is still no effect.
-Disable Parental controls for the user.  link iTunes Store arrives without problem.

I find that my daughter is unable to access the iTunes store unless I have turn off the parental control.  I would use Parental controls.  Help, please.  Thank you.

Rock you.  Yes, it seems that this problem could be solved by adding iTunes in the HTTPExemptions list.  In particular, adding a String key under:

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Parental Controls\HTTPExemptions

The key name and the value must be the path to the executable to iTunes (c:\program files\iTunes\iTunes.exe on my machine).

I guess the drawback here is that now that my kids could, theoretically, use iTunes to access any URL on the internet, but to my knowledge, there is nowhere in iTunes where they could just type a URL and go.  In addition, there are Parental control built into iTunes as well.

    Thank you!
