Controlfile already - exist error in the clone database

Hi all
I use Oracle 10 g R2 (10.2.0.1.0) release, Red Hat Enterprise Edition 5 operating system.

I tried to clone the Pb of production to the development server server using cold backup last month.
SQL > startup pfile='/soft/app/oracle/admin/tstsharp/pfile/inittstsharp.ora' nomount
ORACLE instance started.

Additional information: 1

I tried to create controlfile */soft/app/control.sql* (pfiile road), then also I got the above error. while I tried to run the scrip of different path.
Now, I also have the error.
I have attached some of the contents of pfile ,

Pls guide me. Thanks in advance...

ORA-00202: control file: ' / soft/app /'
ORA-27038: created file already exists

Before recreating the controlfile cleaning potential already existing controlfile in * / soft/app * and then retry creating controlfile.

Publish

$ls - ltr/soft/app /.

and

control_files = ("/ app/app /")

Here you mentioned just mount point and name directory, there is no such name for controlfile, it should be as

control_files = ("/ soft/app/control01.ctl")

  • Cipher.exe object already exists error

    Hello, I had a customer bring a laptop Windows 7 Professional to the other day saying she has difficulty to create a folder that is encrypted for the work. Long story short is that it must have a file encrypted on the machine for this application to work and it must be able to use it for his job. She is the only user in its place with this question and their residents IT guy is as puzzled as I am.

    When I run "cipher /e s:test" or "cipher /e s:C:\users\naomi\test" cipher returns the error "the object already exists.

    It does no file encrypted on the computer, and to my knowledge, she has never tried to use encryption so far. I ran the System File Checker to see if she could be a problem with some files on the system, but no joy there.

    On the off chance that maybe their was something wrong with its key set so I tried to launch the /k option for him generate a new key and received the same error again.

    Thinking that maybe there was a problem in their user profile, I created a test called Administrator account and tried to use encryption for the new account and continue to receive the same object already exists error.

    Personally I have never seen this problem before and what research I did did not find me any useful results. Has anyone seen here this error before and know the cause or have any suggestions on what I might try next?

    Thank you

  • Request already exist error when app deployment planning

    Hi Experts,

    I am trying to deploy a planning 11.1.2.3 EPMA application, but it gives the following error:

    'Application already exist. even if the application is removed. How can we delete the references of this application so that we can deploy the application with the same name.

    Kind regards

    Siddharth

    Are sure you that the planning application don't yet exist, not only in EPMA, so planning and Essbase

    Have you tried to click with the right button on the application and execution of all tasks of diagnostics to see if one fails and if there is a solution.

    If the side planning is still there you may need to manually remove and take a look at Re: cannot delete the planning application 11.1.2.2

  • Error in the target database duplicate for standby

    Hi all
    I had a problem trying to rebuild the database pending. This is my environment: Oracle 10g RAC with 2 node on window 2003 Server R2, 32-bit. Main database and backup are 2 RAC node that is located on a different server with the location of this material/ASM configuration and directory structures.
    Here is my scenario:
    After custody of data works, I deleted the eve of database, say sbdb, using dbca. so I recreated the Oracle service using oradim on standby node, Setup the correct file pfile and spfile from the primaries. Create the primary db backup using the following command on primary and copy the files to the backup servers:

    I used the same procedure to create database pending several times before. They were all successful. This time, the only difference is that I also recreated primary db in the past and this time I do not rebuild primary db. I think that it is bound to the control file. But the message, it seems to pick the right command file for sleep. Any suggestion?

    Thank you very much in advance.

    "ORA-01110: data file 1:"+ DATA/sbdb/datafile/system.347.666704609 '"

    occurs, if RMAN "think" there is no backup data file. In such a case, RMAN attempts to recreate the data files and subsequently applies all necessary for these new files archivelogs created. Which is never possible for datafile 1, which still belongs to the space of SYSTEM tables. Basically, I think you're right, that there is something wrong with the controlfile used during the duplication process. Check if the controlfile maintains valid backups for the current incarnation (incarnation of list + list of backup). The next note of metalink can give more advice:

    You use in your standby init.ora file parameter

     DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT='C:\oracle\oradata\','C:\oracle\bkp\

    It takes DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT = 'C:\oracle\oradata\payroll\','C:\oracle\bkp\

    Make that change and try again. Before attempting to open the day before in mode readonly make sure that this expectation is able to run in managed mode.
    As your alert.log file shows that whenever tryes standby to run in managed mode, it is written error. So, logacially, your standby configuration isn't always

    Hello. This error recently launched.

    I discovered when I realized that I was unable to set an alarm.

    My "BOLD" is fairly new and juice I have upgraded the OS from 4.6 to 5.0 days there are

    No idea how can I solve this problem?

    Help, please. Thank you

    Hello. Because nobody could offer me advice, I tried to solve this problem on my own to find the cause. If someone were to encounter the same problem, please try this.

    I deleted some third party applications downloaded from the bb app world. U will then proposed to restart the phone, which I did. After that, the problem is solved on its own.

  • Error in the oracle database after you set the "Compatible" setting to lower

    Hello
    Windows 2008 server
    Oracle 11.2.0.3.0

    I just put changed the parameter system compatible on my database (import to a lower version - 10g) and attempted to restart and my database does not open now.
    Pls help, what shape I do now? !
    Here's what I've done?
    (Given that the mentioned documentation that I have to restart the database for the compatible parameter is taken into account, I did.)
    SQL> alter system set compatible='10.1.0.0.0' scope=spfile;

    System altered.

    SQL> show parameter compatible

    Pls help to fix... its very urgent.

    It is a forum for peer volunteers. There is no "urgent" here. For "urgent", you open a sev-1 SR with Oracle's Support.

    That said, what I would do at this point is to create a your spfile init.ora file, and then edit this file init.ora to set the compatible parameter to where it should be, create a file the init.ora spfile and restart db.

    Assuming your sid is "geooap":

    copy spfilegeooap.ora spfilegeooap.save
    set ORACLE_SID=geooapp
    sqlplus /nolog
    create pfile='initgeooap.ora' from spfile;
    exit
    notepad initgeooap.ora << fix the parameter
    sqlplus /nolog
    create spfile from pfile='initgeooap.ora';
    startup
