Controls [] property to clusters in a cluster

I have a core that contains 2 subclusters of controls. I would like to use a reference to the main bunch to get properties of clusters 2 sub controls.

Using a reference to the main cluster I can get reference table of controls [] to cluster two cents. However, I would need another property of [] Controls to items in clusters of sup and I don't see an option to do this.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I've attached a picture of what I'm trying to describe

Thank you

You use the reference to the internal clusters clusters to get the properties of these elements.  Using the more specific class and check the error will prevent an attempt to influence the external cluster controls that are not cluster.

  • How to get the 'description' of a control property if the control is a part of the cluster?

    Hi, dear all

LV offers the possibility to work with the property 'description' of the individual control of the VI. The use of knots of property: reference VI > front propert > control [] property > Description.

Unfortunately, I found a way to set or get the description of a control if it's a part of the cluster =)

    Could someone suggest the idea?

  • How to access the property of ListBox inside the Cluster element names?

In LabVIEW 2010, I have a group of controls on the front panel. In this group, I have a ListBox. How can I access the Item property for the ListBox object names in my block diagram.

Of the bunch, I can get control ListBox, but which returns a value of I32, probably the index of the selected item.

In the block diagram, how can I get the name property of the item in the ListBox control since a reference to the Cluster?

    Thank you.

using the table 'orders' in your cluster, you can access each item. Next, you will need to convert the reference to a 'class more specific' with a reference to an arbitrary list box (or a constant reference of the required type), then you can access all the properties of your listbox.

  • Table of clusters and the cluster is a bar counter, how can I change the color individually?

Table of clusters and the cluster is a bar counter, how do I change the color of the bar individual meter for each element of the array?  I just realized that you cannot change the properties of an element of the array without changing everything.  For scale, I had to make digital for each graduation of the scale indicators so that each measure meter in the table in the cluster has individual scales.  I also had to do some calculations for each barmeter to display the correct proportions of 0 to 100% on the scale.  Now, I'm stumped on the color of the bar counter.  Basically, if the value exceeds a set value, the meter bar should turn red.  It must be in a table to be infinitely scalable.

    Thank you

    And yet anothr approach...

Right click on the bar of > Options to fill > maximum fill.

The fill color of the same color as the background color, then make the background color transparent.

Drop a box of color BEHIND the bar and the size correctly.

He has this strange background 3D with flat bar, but what the Hey, his relatives. If its important a custom color box.

  • Behavior in time real LabVIEW incompatible with nodes in control property

LabVIEW 2014 no service don't pack

cRIO 9068 (Linux) with dual CPU

I've written a vi which interacts with the CVT to pass values between the CVT and a bunch of controls on the Panel before which are accessed by reference. My project supports a front panel, if it is connected, then you can use this Panel to interact with the system. All the controls are located in a tabbed pane on the main vi running on the RT module, all the features are contained in a subvi, which accepts an array of references to the command input.

It works perfectly in developer mode. Then when I deployed the controls were completely isolated: nothing has been loaded and initialized from the CVT, changing values of control had no impact on the system.

For debugging, I provided a string array of all labels of control so I could see what controls is taken up by the Group of experts. So, I thought that the first troubleshooting step would be to see if the autonomous execution of RT filled one of them. After the creation and execution of this, everything lights up and works perfectly.

It seems that to allow some control connected to that communication of the façade with a sub - vi RT VI must appear on the front panel. If this is not the case, the sub - vi will not interact with controls at all.

In my opinion, it's a bug. Comments or details, anyone?

Thanks for all your replies. For the record, while the 9068 has no Panel incorporated, it supports remote facades. I use this function successfully. The core of the code runs without a head, I didn't want the hassle of establishing a completely independent group on an external PC.

My initial analysis and statement of the problem was wrong. I thought I was running in RT with group work, but actually worked by the developer. Even with controls and indicators highlighted the sub - vi the Panel was still Catatonic.

Then I re-read the documentation OR on the facades. They clearly affirm that if application of the RT IS CONNECTED to a front panel nodes of property etc. will work. If this isn't the case, the program will still run but indicate errors for operations of property node. General error handling is not made for information only Panel stuff, so I have not seen the error.

It turns out that I've been collecting all the controls at the beginning. Developing mode of the front panel is still there, so it worked. However, when the RT target boots and starts, it is impossible to have a remote façade connected, so my set of controls was empty.

Movement of the control the value code initialization (just to get an array of references to all the controls in the component of interest) in the area of code that is run after the mouse click that activates the Panel did the trick. If there is no remote Panel then person can click on it, but if there is a front panel then all the controls are there.

Thanks again for ruminating with me.

  • Operation of individual controls in table Clusters

    Hi all

Our system has a number of screws set up like the control panels for TestStand steps.  A lot of these screws have a range loaded dynamically groupings of information.  There is no particular problem with them, but I would like to clean up the interface a little bit.

I'm using LabVIEW 8.6 due the customer's requirements.

Specifically, for a type of step, a couple of boxes is valid for a specific table entry, if a drop-down list in the same entry has a specific value.  I would hide them individually for this table entry if the selection is not set to this value.

Currently, I use the SelStart [] and [] SelSize properties try to select a specific item and hide/show elements.  However, she asked setting the last element of the array at all the related control boxes.  See the image as an attachment for the code snippet.

Any ideas on how to make each element of the array only work on itself?

    Thanks in advance,

    Geoff

We start charging people whenever this question is asked. Now we would be all millionaires.

What you see is by design. Elements of a table may be different from the value. Properties apply to all elements in the array.

  • [AllObjects] cluster does not match the cluster command?

I have a control group of string for which I'm looking to get the labels for each of the individual channels.  My goal, as part of a larger project, is to pass differently labelled strings but same size cluster in this sub - VI and then write the labels string & text in a file.  However, the index of the references in the [property] AllObjects coincide with the command I gave the cluster stands... why?  If this isn't the case, of the order of the cluster objects, how is the order of [] AllObjects calculated?

Is there maybe a property that I am on that can match the elements of allObjects, go back to them within the cluster?

Or any other suggestions to get the labels of controls within the cluster while maintaining the same command as the cluster?

You use the Controls property of [] of the class Cluster for the commands in the order in which cluster. I don't know what order the AllObjs [] property returns... maybe the order in which they were dropped at the outset? The reason why there are two properties is because [AllObjs] would include also all the decorations inside the cluster.

  • Access a specific control within a cluster table property

I have an array of clusters. The cluster is an integer and three channels. I need to be able to change the background color of the third string on just a row of the table. I don't think it's possible, is it? I tried, but I don't see a way to do it. Thanks in advance.

    Opposite!

Convert a cluster of clusters or add a color behind the chain box after setting its background transparent.

  • Is it possible to add the scroll bar to a cluster of front control?

I have a cluster control on my front.  The cluster contains many controls that I did not have enough room to display at a time. When a table contains more items is displayed, you can activate vertical or horizontal scroll bars.  This doesn't seem to be the case for cluster control.  I don't see a property of scrollbar for cluster control.  Is there a way to display one that I'm missing?  Thank you!

As much as I know you can not display scrollbars on clusters.

The only method I can think of that would be to show the cluster fully deployed on a secondary as a plugin and have attached an example how to do that.

    Hope that helps,

  • Mouseover image control does not appear when it is contained in an array of clusters.

I've been using Boolean system (with some customization) to impement mouseover animations.  For example (default values Boolean system):

Mouseover feedback works well with my UI, and most of the time everything is going great.

However, the mouseover image does not load if the Boolean value is contained in an array of clusters (a single cluster with inside Boolean or an array of Boolean works as expected):

The animation of the passage of the mouse works for a single array element in the case above (the one that was clicked more recently), but this behavior is not desirable and it seems buggy if I had to leave this on my UI such what.

So I guess I am wondering if anyone has encountered this or has no suggested work around?  The few that I thought to date (maintain a separate table for any set of Boolean control systems, verify the details myself on the mouse move event and try to update the appropriate element of the array, avoid using animations mouseover devoted entirely to this set of commands) are not all that desirable.  Although this issue could be considered in cosmetics, the user interface is very important for me because this code is that something shipped to customers.

It's LV 2011 either incidentally, so if by chance the behavior in 2012 is just let me know (this could only) is a sufficient to convert the project to the top.  If there is a DRIVE ID for this behavior and an employee OR want to share I would also appreciate that.

    Best regards

    Hi John,.

Thanks for the obvious example of this behavior. I was able to reproduce this problem in LabVIEW 2010 SP1 2011 and 2012. I couldn't find a CAR that has mentioned this unexpected behavior, so I went ahead and filed one myself. For your reference, the number of CAR is 36785, and I think I've included everything you mentioned.

  • Set the value of cluster control in secondary school

    Hello

Is there a way to set the value of control from one cluster to a high school?

If you have a reference to the VI being put into secondary (which there or it is not in the secondary, right?) you can use it to get a reference to the façade of the VI. This in turn will allow you to read an array of references to all the controls and indicators on the front of the Secondary VI. Cross this table by looking at the text property of the label: for each reference in the table until you find the one for the control of the cluster.

Now, use the specific function to more class to convert reference generic control of the pole to a cluster reference. You can use it to get an array of all the controls within the cluster. Now, go through this table by looking at the text property of the label: for each reference in the table until you find the one for control quevous want to set and you are there...

  • Controls and indicators combined in the same Bay clusters

    Hi all.

In the attached picture you can see an indicator (or perhaps, control) that I want to use with the following behavior:

-C' is an array of clusters. Each cluster has two Boolean, a string and a path (a checkbox and a button "sequence Asignar").

-I want the first two components as indicators (the chain and the path). I mean, they contain data that it is introduced previously in the application, and I want these indicators only to show that information.

-I want to have a button ("sequence Asignar") associated with each table group. When I push the button, I want to perform an action (different for each cluster of the table), the button must be a control.

-Box has a behavior similar as the button.

I know there is no way to combine the controls and indicators in the same cluster or matrix. I tried also with local variables and methods of 'value', but I can't solve my problem.

    Please, any suggestions?

    Thank you
    Francisco

Here's a trivially simple example how you would rewrite some false indicators based on changes in the controls.

  • getting Ref cluster from the cluster control

I have a control ref which is introduced into a Subvi.  The control itself is part of a cluster that is an external code in VI that I work.  I want to get the property label.text of the pole of the control reference within the cluster to which I have access to.  What is the mechanism or the property of the control ref which allows me to join the cluster that contains?

The GObject class must have a property owner. I think for the objects inside a container (such as a cluster), it returns the container. The property itself probably returns a GObject reference, so you cast down to the control class to see the label property.

  • Issues related to the cell property node: Position Active for a table control

    Hello

What determines the Position of the Active cell in a table control property node? I have this in my code and display the value of an indicator on front panel. The displayed value is always set to 0,0. Help for the property node says it's "read - only" so what defines the Position of the Active cell in a table control value?

Define you the active cell with a property node.  Once you select an active cell, you can do this cell and single cell-specific things, things like the background value color.

  • Control of "tab" on the keyboard in the table of Clusters

I'm trying to Polish some of my LabVIEW user interfaces so that my users can work faster in them and so that they follow more "user Windows interface standards" (or other).

I have an array of clusters.  The cluster has 3 digits.

When a user "focuses" on the first digital in a cluster and press the tab key, it moves the focus to the second digital.  Press tab again, and he climbs to 3rd digital.  Hit the tab key a 3rd time and it jumps to the first digital in the cluster.  I want to do is for the focus to move to the first digital in the element next to the table.

I started playing with the case "Key Down" event that has a conditional looking for "TAB" and then check the 'FindCtrlWithKeyFocus' with the last digital.  My probes in this event show that detection of keys "TAB" works, but the "FindCtrlWithKeyFocus" never invoke a REAL output of the output of "CtrlFound?" of the node.

Even though I didn't know if the tab has been pressed in the last item, I know right how to move the focus to the first digital within the next cluster of the table element.

A table behaves appropriately.  I was able to get the program to work as I want with a 2d numerical values table.  However, each digital has different data entry parameters and there is also a loss of "free documentation.  I would like to find a solution because it came with another, more complex, Bay of clusters that would not be solveable with an array of 2d from a base type.

    Seems too complicated for me.

Bonus question: the default my digital is 0.  When my user clicks on a digital the cursor is on each side of the value 0 and the user must remove 0 before their seizure.  When a number is entered through the Tab key, the entire field is selected.  When the whole field is selected, all user entries will replace the '0' original, which has been in the field.  In any case, to have all of the selected field when the user uses the mouse?

Sorry for the post wall-of-text (and the hell of the preposition).  Thanks for your comments.
