conversion of MP3 or WAV Audio 4 M - Peg files

I transferred music from the hard drive of my brother.  His music has been created through Itunes and is MPEG 4 and works very well on his Ipod.  I tried to get these songs into WMP with no luck.  Does anyone know a Media Converter good or another way to add these files to WMP?  I have the latest WMP and Vista.

Google "m4a to mp3", there are a ton of results. I don't know what are those which (if any) is good, I don't have all of the m4a files.

    Hello

I would incorporate the MP3 versions.

However, note that someone ' do u, Captivate will convert any format you choose the different format. For example, if you import a WAV, you will see convert to MP3. If you import an MP3, it will convert to WAV format. As I understand it, the MP3 is the only format actually used in the output. WAV format is necessary if you want to make changes?

1 are you referring to the sound recorder program in Windows?

    2. you have all the music you want to convert to WAV?

3 are you referring to the "Sound Converter" when you say 'tape recorder '?

If so, you can use third party software to convert WMA to WAV audio format.

  • WAV Audio Track 2 silent during rendering

    Using CS4 / i7 & 8 GB of ram.

Thank you very much for your help in the past. I just noticed something strange.

On the last two projects, the following occurs:

Using Bill's suggestion, I have rearranged the mp3 to WAV with Audacity.  Everything works better.  However, there is another question.

I imported a piece of music WAV into my project and place on the audio 2 track.  When I first start editing more on the project, the audio track 2 plays very well.

However, when I made the video and audio render follows, track 2 does not play.   Track 1 plays very well.

    1. I can go to the Preview Panel and place the same audio file on track 3 and it will play fine... or,

    2. I can get out of the PP and when I restart PP and reopen the project, the audio track 2 will play fine.  If I do not do the audio when I make the video track 2 plays very well...

Why make the audio would shut the sound?  Any way around this situation?

    TKS, Tom B.

You need not bold. First has a feature called Render and replace.

Making the timeline or export out of first?

You can do what works best.

Select the audio clip, click the Clip Options Audio, Render and replace. This will make the audio portion of a wave created by first.

  • MP3 to wav - the amount of information you let go

    Hello!

We have scanned 1000 wav files large to 44100, 32-bit, stereo 500 discs vinil and audio cassettes. Then we cut them into smaller parts (songs units per person) and convert these parts directly to MP3 (44100, 16 bit, stereo) batch.

Now, we would like to have these units samller also in wav format (44100, 16 bit, stereo,), not only in mp3 format.

    We have two options to:

    1. to cut again and convert it to source original wav files (44100, 32-bit, stereo) to small wav files (44100, 16 bit, stereo).

    2. If you want to convert to mp3 (44100, 16 bit, stereo) directly to wav in batch (44100, 16 bit, stereo).

We would like to know how much information lose us if we choose the second option instead of the first - convert mp3 to wav? In this particular case, it is much faster and easier!

The main problem is that we cut wav files original (44100, 32-bit, stereo) in a number of smaller units (about 6,000 smaller units) and save the package in the process directly in mp3 format. If you have to cut them again to our original wav files and save them as wav (like mp3) it would take us a couple of weeks!

    Thanks for the reply.

How you lose depends entirely on what rate the MP3 files have been encoded to. If they were musical and encoded files in 128 k MP3 then the loss will be noticeable by most people in a direct comparison. If you have been lucky enough to save them at 192 k or higher, then the differences will be less obvious.

If you want a rough idea of what you lose, it is essentially in the quieter parts which are 'hidden' by more strong adjacent sounds. What is happening is that the quieter sounds are stored at a lower resolution (fewer bits). This gives rise to what we call a 'coding gain", and this is the measure of what determines the final quality. It tends to give a quality "unreal" sort of sounds and is not only pleasant to listen to the very bottom of encoding rates.

If the goal of saving the original in the form of wav files was somehow an attempt to keep a copy of superior quality, which must have - then you have really a re-cutting choices; You have to do. In the contrary case, it there was absolutely no reason to do this exercise in the order that you did it in the first place, was there?

So despite the work, I see No point in doing so from MP3 files in any case, when you have 32-bit original which only require redividing and name.

  • iTunes 'Matched' Match songs include MP3s and AAC audio files! What is going on?

So I was adding songs to my iTunes library because they have raised the limit to 100K songs.

I see strange results as types of song of audio files AAC, audio MPEG files (MP3s), and AAC audio files matched expected. In addition, AAC audio files are 192 Kbps, while the MP3 and the matched AACs are 256 Kbps.

How can there be a change much? I thought that the game only returns equal AAC, not MP3 files.

Things have changed than this since I last downloaded my library (about three years)?

    Hello

Different was that no change in the way iTunes game manages music files. If a track is matched, you must remove the original track download only SELECT make available offline. It has never been automatic and you do the update manually.

  • Poor quality of the sound on the rocket with some conversions of mp3 128 k

I've converted a few songs to m4a (you have an iTunes gift card, do not want to lose it) using MediaMonkey to load on my rocket 128kbs mp3 files. They sound very good when I play on the computer, but the sound quality is poor, when I play them back on the "rocket". Anyone else run into this? A high sampling rate would solve it? I hope that by Christmas next to have all school please do it year Amazon gift card, but I intend to use the iTunes card for now.

I guess that there must be a compatibility problem with MediaMonkey 128 k on the "rocket", as I have tried a few others with better results. WMA 128 k was best that the mp3, but still sounded not just. Conversion of mp3 160 kbps of MediaMonkey sounds very good and still maintains the small enough size for me. I still don't know why some of these conversions the best on my PC and the "rocket", but I guess that doesn't really matter because I found something that works. Thanks for your help.

  • burn mp3 to CD audio files, can not put all the files in the 1 disc,

I am trying to burn mp3 to CD audio, if I choose audio CD, some how when I drag the file in the burn list, it's auto show 1 file in a single disc, how can I put all files on 1 disc? If I choose the data disk, so I put all the files in the 1 disc

In fact, when you copy MP3 files as such, it is written as such, in digital format. In other words, the size of the file is important here. Depending on the size of CD, 650 MB to 800 MB, you can add files only up to the storage capacity of the CD.

In the case of the audio CD, the data is written in analog format (as a cassette tape or gramophone record). In other words, in the present case, the duration of the file audio issues. The capacity varies between approximately 74 minutes to 90 minutes, respectively.
Because each file is 50 + minutes, as stated in your post, it is normal to restrict a file per CD, such as the capacity is 74 minutes to 90 minutes. If you use the MP3/WMA format instead, you can put all the files in a single CD.
Answer if your problem is not solved.
  • multitrack wav for 1,5 hour files record only 3 seconds long - lost audio

I used Adobe Audition Mac CS6 version 5.02 build 5 a few days ago to record a conference of lawyers that I get paid to save.  I have been using to record multitrack and segments that have been about 1.5 hours of recording as stereo wav files.  During the second track record after about an hour, while the surveillance on phones and I look at the interface, the track popped out folder.  and stopped.  When I checked the file wav from this record, it is only 3 seconds of time instead of 1.5 hours.  I couldn't find anything useful in the trash or the location of the main disk cache.   A search of my hard drives for files created so far there isn't anything useful either.  I have auto save every 10 minutes turned on and I thought that hearing were the basic crash protection built in.  Is it possible to recover this loss of audio in a temporary file or cache somewhere, while the law firm that hired me will not tear me up like a pack of piranhas to lose audio they wanted to sell to their customers?

Well, if you have been recording in multitrack view, it doesn't is not much of interest in research in the trash, or any kind of disk, because in multitrack mode, cache files are written directly to disk and no to any form of temporary storage. This also means that you will not find anything in the way of a backup. I'm afraid that if the files are not where you specified whether they are when you started recording, you have almost certainly lost. If you're absolutely sure he was recording for all this time, it might well be that the header of the file was damaged when he stopped, and that it is in fact a larger file that you have been led to think. The only thing that you can try with this scenario is to open the file in a .raw, provide the sampling frequency and type info and see what opens. If you're incredibly lucky, you will get your file back to the point that it stopped, and then you can re-record it. But don't hold your breath...

1 rule to record anything original or punch - do not with hearing, or any other software if it is the only record you will end with. You should always have a redundant system of some sort. For live recording I never use hearing as a backup to one of the hardware-based systems. I have never had chess hearing during a recording, but you can bet your sweet life that if I had been absolutely according to her, he would have!

  • Extract the audio channels to mono files - does not

When I right click a file .wav stereo in the files Viewer, why are the "extract audio channels to mono files -" option grayed out?

It worked for me a few weeks before a hearing CC 8.1.0.162 update.  I resorted to using version CS6 where it always works.

Well, even if I don't use it there, I agree with you - it does not work and is grayed out, and there is no reason that I can see. It still works fine in the Edit menu on the same file, and also you can assign a keyboard shortcut, so you have not really lost all features, even if I would say it was a bug...

  • Audio in .mp4 cutting file

The audio in the mp4 file, I try to use gets cut. He plays 95% of it, but for some reason any interrupts audio towards the end. I checked the file on a PC and Mac as well as on both the audio shows very well, but when I open it on my computer (Mac), it is cut. I tried a clean install of AE CC 14 and that did not help.

Export the audio track in a separate audio file, not COMPRESSED like wav or aiff and use it in AE.  Media encode from Adobe should do.

While you're there, you might just transcode mp4 as well; a movie quicktime in codecs Photo JPEG or PNG would be better for the use of AE... and you can keep your audio with the video file, too.

    Hi sdr2014,

I'm sorry to hear that your conversion process is at a standstill. It seems that the problem is not specific to a single file, you have been unable to convert anything, since the first four chapters of a correct conversion.

    So, let's try this:

If you want to convert via the ExportPDF site, please sign out, clear the browser cache, and then reconnect. If you use the drive, please choose Help > updates to ensure that you have installed the latest version.

Please let us know how it goes.

  • Panasonic P2 import - audio problem of multiple files

    Hello

I have a problem with MXF Panasonic P2 in first CC 2014 files. We have an a video in 3 parts (3 files on the disk). When I import video ago only audio of the first file. The video is OK. The rest of the clip is without audio. When I import the same clip in the first CC (7.0), everything is OK.

    Hello again,

I tried record new file to test in the camcorder this morning (1 clip = 5 files on the P2 card). After you ingest using prelude CC 2014 (3.0), its OK there.

Could be a problem caused by the previous ingest using prelude CC (2.0) and editing using first CC 2014 (8.0)? Could not be here any incompatibility with Prelude CC (2.0) and first CC 2014 (8.0)
