• Easiest way to convert the cluster with named variables table?

  I have a table of variables, I essentially unbundle this table of named variables.

  I believe that the only way to achieve this is to convert the cluster table (not to mention that the deletion of each item one by one)?

  Is what I've done below the best way to do it? seems a little weird to unbundle and rebundle by name.

  From a perspective of profitability, and programmatic perspective what do you see as the main advantage of this method instead to use Unflatten string functions and flatten to string without going through an intermediate Variant? Or, perhaps, flatten to Unflatten/XML to XML functions. In other words, what are the pros and cons of your method as opposed to this method:

• Timestamp is always converted to universal time?

  By applying the function 'get Date/Time' and ' Date/Time seconds to ', it seems that they are forcing UTC after conversion, even if the option for the UTC is false.

  I would like to have the actual system date and time available (which represents for the summer time and time zone as shown on my PC) out of timestamp, but instead I get a value for the timestamp value that (I assume) is UTC. When I probe output of timestamp, or the output of cluster, it seems OK. However to estimate the number of timestamp, it is always disabled by what looks like the difference of the DST and time zone (exactly 5 hours).

  I tried two different methods and find the same results.

  (1) out of ' Get Date/Time ' function directly (which specifies the timestamp will be universal time in its contextual help file)

  and

  (2) convert the timestamp in a cluster and reconvert it timestamp (as pictured).

  In the example attached photo, notice the cluster result (probe 25) shows the correct time (16) when broken down and the probe of timestamp (26) seems correct.

  However, when the timestamp of the function "get Date/Time" or function "Date/Time seconds to" is converted to U32, changes of time what time looks like UTC as the timestamp 3485539686 (probe 28) has the offset of 5 hours (21 as shown in Excell sheet calculations included in the image).

  I'm not simply subtract 18 000 seconds to account for this difference (as DST or time zone changes may cause problems). I would like to than the actual time of the PC to use for the generation of table.

  How can I do this?

  Why do the probe points show the time system correct, but just after the timestamp is converted to U32 it resembles the UTC?

  You can use GetTimeZoneInformation to get through the time stamp and add/subtract out.  It's not like I had to code that WinAPI evoke yet, so I can't provide for you.  The return value indicates also advanced.

  You can also take your timestamp as you did and convert the cluster and return to determine the offset.  I've only done a few testign base with this, so don't know if it works in all use cases.  The WinAPI method would be the most robust.

  

  This completes actually missed the date upward, but returns the correct offset.

• Getting data from a Cluster to an array in a series of chains

  Hi all

  I have an application that extracts the test of several tables of database access settings.  I would take the parameters and print a report, so that any particular test batch can be examined with the settings it has been tested against.  Sounds simple enough, but there is a caveat.

  The database allows a multitude of different parameters, and only a few are filled with information based on the number of specific piece tested.  I'm already pulling the info in LV as a def type cluster to power the motor to test with the correct variables.

  I created a routine to convert the cluster in a table, analyze table to strip all empty or null fields to end up with a table which is only as long as the number of originals fields populated in the cluster.  Now, I'm stuck on obtaining this information in a format where I can end up with the domain name and the data so that I can create a simple report to show what test parameters have been used for a given batch of product.

  Sounds convoluted, I know that I have created an example and it attached for reference, the cluster included source is a constant that simulates what might be pulled from my database table.  Some fields are populated, and most is not.

  Any thoughts are appreciated.

  The function OpenG "Get the names of the element of Cluster" is exactly what you are looking for.  A cluster of entry and it will display a string array of the names of the cluster elements.  Analyze this table along with your digital picture and you will be in.

  You can improve your financial statement as well.  For example, you need not explicitly index table - the for loop is cela automatically for you.  Keep in mind that dynamically the size of the arrays are not terribly effective memory if it is a matter of concern.

  I have a cluster with n Boolean values that correspond to the columns in a table.  I need to read the values of each boolean and if true, write the corresponding column in an output table.

  I have difficulties to find to do this.

  You do not use the right tool for the job. Why do you not use a table instead of a cluster?

  If all the elements of a cluster have the same type, you can easily convert your cluster to a table for easy indexing on the edge of the loop.

  I have no idea why you use a sequence structure. It has no function here. Just use dataflow.

• P2V one resource to Cluster MS and not to the cluster nodes

  We are looking to do a P2V on our file servers, which are all 2 node A / P SAN connected MS Cluster. I see articles where people work to convert the cluster nodes themselves and then have the MS Cluster running on ESX - this isn't what I want to do.

  I've not seen any (covered by a research brief) mention of any attempt to make a virtual server Cluster MS. P2V conversion Looks like it is the best deal if it worked.

  So I FS1 as the virtual resource with N1 and N2 as nodes.  Can I run a P2V of FS1 crowd for a disk system to capture all the action, then just RDM the SAN LUNS to the VM FS1 newly created? Or am I stuck with the creation of a third node, clustered, expelling the original, closing nodes cluster services and then rename or uses DNS to point to the FULL FS1 domain name?

  I know that sounds a good idea but any time
  I tried P2V ING I ended up regretting the MSCS clusters. For the file

  The SQL cluster, it is very messy. You can not P2V the virtual server name
  (FS1) directly, you must break the cluster and migrate the
  individual nodes. But as I said it's a bad idea in any case.

  If these are just some cluster file server then the easiest thing to do
  is just export actions (they are just a registry key), build a new
  clean the VM, attach the existing data as a RDM disk and import the
  registry keys. Once your happy that it work, rename the machine as
  the former name of virtual node.

• FPGA configure trigger

  Quick question: how to set up the trigger in the FPGA C API interface?

  More details:

  I'm looking to interface a NC (7965R) via the function Matlab MEX (C).  I programmed most of FPGA functions, including NiFpga_ReadXXXX functions, the functions of FIFO configuration, etc.   I call NiFpga_Initialize, NiFpga_Open, and they return status 0.   Functions return with a status of 0 NIFpga_ReadArray, but they don't return meaningful data (of zeros).

  However, there is a feature that appears in our Labview code that I can't seem to find an interface C equivalent to, and it is a function to set the trigger.  Small is important because our FPGA is triggered externally.   When I call the functions of ReadFIFO I get a timeout, no matter how long a timeout or how small of a buffer I give him.  In my opinion, because relaxation is misconfigured somehow.

  Update: OK, in relaxing configure VI, which they call a "read/write control" VI, I guess that means, it calls a function of NIFpga_WriteXXX?

  The conversion wizard wasn't able to convert the cluster because there is not an exact correlation in C.  The nearest representation would be a struct.  Change to a series of values is probably the best option unless your structural elements are of the same data type.

  My problem is that the command sent to the engine is not the instruction that I give to the program. I found that the error is committed when the data is converted to analogue data charts.

  Try to use a node table to build the cluster build and convert the cluster node group node instead.

  Normally, the type of data expected by the 1 d Analog Waveform N channel N samples VI is an array of waveforms.

  I'm using labview 2015 to design a laser alignment system, using a contoller ag - uc2 and an optical mount piezo driven two webcams. The establishment, is that the webcams are positioned behind the mirrors, which are somewhat permeable, so the webcam will get a shot where the laser beam is pointed. The laser must be aligned manually first, and after that it is satisfied with the alignment, this program will be run once to run in the background. control the position of the laser a few times per minute to correct the thermal drift. After it is first of all, I would like the program to take maybe 10-15 images, to find a location to center of medium severity on each of the mirrors, then switching to compare new images of this center of gravity of the model. My problem is that I can't imagine a way to get a picture of model and have that info Reports to the next iteration of the while loop to the overall program be carried out. I have tried using the structures of the case, which, I imagine, will eventually be the solution, but it did not work as expected. I put the case structure to run based on the value of the indicator loop iteration of the main loop, and I got a while loop in there with registries to raise the center of gravity of this loop and store this information for the next loop to shift. I can see after running the program why my implementation does not work, but I don't know how I can design something that will have an average of several images. I think I should use learn and compare the model, but I don't know how I can convert a cluster (centroid) type of data appropriate for the model comparistion live if you have any suggestions for my existing code or want to offer a different approach, I appreciate it. Also let me know if you need any other screws included.

  In the past, when I had to switch between two 'modes', if you do, I used two consecutive loops while, one for the first mode and one for the second, or I would put Boolean register to indicate that, two modes, the loop was offset.  If you start in a mode, and then more later switch to another once and only once, then you can use a node 'OR' like a lock to power the old way, so the first true feed you of keeps it true until the next time that you run the VI and it returns false.

  I would also add that I looked your VI and the method that you use on average 10 images, while innovating, is usually not a great plan.  Instead of having 10 shift registers build an array of fixed size, just have a table in a shift register, add each new measure at the end and the VI means in the range of mathematics/statistics to calculate the average.

• Reentrancy with a Subvi inside

  I am trying to create a utility that will read any Variant type, automatically decompress and create a kind of string output. I use a VariantType.lvlib screw to help with this.

  He got confused when I started trying to decompress the clusters. GetClusterInfo.vi creates an array of variant which must then be back through the same vi which has unpacked the cluster. I expect to be able to do this by making the reentrant vi, but is somehow causing the data inside the original disappearing Variant.

  I don't want to run in parallel as much as I would like them to run nested. Is this possible?

  DebugWriteToFile.vi is the main vi. calling DebugVarDecode.vi.

  It is a library of TYPE Variant, as many functions just gives you the type, not the data values.

  But you can convert a cluster to any array of variants (included values) using the "Variant Data" primitive.

• change the driver existing (newbie question)?

  We try to change an existing driver, but we are fairly new to Labview. We have a few generic questions, but I'll give you some specific info on what we are trying to do as well.

  We downloaded a driver (for NDI Polaris motion tracker) of the site NOR and want to change that a little bit.

  The zip file contains a subdirectory ndipolaris with 2 files .llb and some .mnu files.

  Our first problem is that if we just open the .llb files, there are a lot of vi in there (including examples of work), but there is no project files, or class definitions. What seems to prevent us from creating a new class that derives from a class that is apparently set in the driver (but which we don't seem to have the definition). Maybe a driver can be distributed without these definitions such as you can use it only, but not change?

  Our second problem is that if we use the method of 'create the new existing driver driver', the Polaris NDI does not appear in the list of existing drivers. (It has copied the directory ndipolaris to the labview/instr.lib directory and restarted labview). (This is probably not a major problem that we could change just the existing driver instead).

  Note that the existing driver works well. We just add a timestamp in the data. The existing driver apparently has a class (called "Info Tool", which is a cluster of a few different types of data) for all these info than the Polaris returns, so we thought to change this class or to derive a new class with added timestamp.

  Sorry if this is a trivial question. Thanks for the pointers.

  Thanks to your suggestions, we settled it. We were baffled by the fact that you cannot add controls for "schema". Here's what we did:

  The data group was built using the "bundle by name" function, which takes a bunch of 'model' as input. It is this model that we had to change. However, as the model was a 'constant', it does not appear on the front panel and so we could not add any controls to it. For example, when you view the block diagram, we right-click on the clustering model, converted to a control, and then passed to the façade, created a new control (string) on the front panel and place in the control corresponding to the cluster model. Then we moved to the block diagram and convert our cluster model to a 'constant '.

  Not simple I think, but once you know (get help from you and read a bit of the operating instructions...), it's ok.
