Convert URLS into hyperlink fails with long links
Using InDesign CS5, I have a document with thousands of URLs, some of them very long. Weeks, I used convert URLS into hyperlink in the hyperlinks Panel menu. I used all convert. After exporting to ePub, I discovered that about 10% of all URLS were detected wrong by InDesign CS5.
For example, this URL:http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2011/2/24/gap-achievement-Ferguson-students/#
has been converted into a hyperlink to:
http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2011/2/24/gap
I have hundreds of examples. It is not always a dashboard that has caused the problem.
This URL has been split into two hyperlinks to text conteract Hypertext in the middle.
Original text: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0, 9171,1647452,00.html
After using convert URLS into hyperlink, I have now:
First hyperlink: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article
text in the Middle without a hyperlink:, 9171,1647452,
Second hyperlink: 00.primeras html
Apparently, there are a lot of characters that are valid inside a hyperlink that trick InDesign into thinking that the URL is complete.
I suspect that there is a solution to this problem, other than do not use to convert URLS into hyperlink. At present, I'm manually editing each of the hyperlinks in the .xhtml file that I unzipped from the ePub screwed in place.

In the meantime, I use URLtoHyperlink from DTPTools, which does a better job:

convert the data in the table to mix cases
Hi all
I have a table that contains data.
This table has columns, id, and description.
I want to update my table to convert data to toss the case.
From now on, all my data in the table are tiny.
What I mean when mixed is the first letter of each word is capitalized and the rest lowercase.
is there a function I can use?
example:
Thank youAmended/Resentence, Type Unknown
You can use the INITCAP function.
update table set description = INITCAP(description);
Example:
create table test (description varchar(50)); Table created insert into test values ('amended/resentence, type unknown'); 1 row inserted select * from test; DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------- amended/resentence, type unknown update test set description = initcap(description); 1 row updated select * from test; DESCRIPTION -------------------------------------------------- Amended/Resentence, Type Unknown

but by using the parse method in SimpleDateFormat class can get the result format java.util.date...
and also using method format may result in the conversion of strings...public class Dbop { static final java.text.SimpleDateFormat fmt = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy"); public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception { java.util.Date ud = fmt.parse("31/12/2010"); java.sql.Date sd = new java.sql.Date(ud.getTime()); String formattedSqlDate = fmt.format(sd); System.out.println("result:"+formattedSqlDate); } }

Srikkanth.MYou did not show an example of your date or time values, control may be necessary to add a space between them, like
To_date(Date || ' ' || time,'dd-mon-yyyy hh24mi')

How do you write the command for the conversion of FAT32 disk to ntfs without losing data to an external drive in Windows 7 and how you can convert the local drive too?
Convert a drive to NTFS does not fit.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/convert-a-hard-disk-or-partition-to-NTFS-format
(Vista/Windows 7 - it doesn't matter in this case).
However, pay attention to this:
"Although the risk of corruption or loss of data during a conversion are minimal, you must back up all data on the partition before you begin."
Because something can and probably will happen. -

I changed the date to 'YYYY-MM-DD' in the xls file by changing to the UK format within excel.
It is still giving an error. ?
Odd. Then there can be only one solution to the riddle: what you read is a column name, and not the date value stored in the column.
See what happens when you replace this line by
or, perhaps better,.
