convert image into RGB?

I have a doc excel with about 1,000 names of color and their respective RGB values.  Is it possible to create a script that will read a csv file and save each line as a solid color 500px x 500px document?

I'm looking for a quick way to convert a text list of colors in jpg real color files with the file name being the column A (the name of the color) and the image that represents the RGB color solid.  Any ideas?

This should be close...

#target photoshop
var inputFile = File.openDialog("Please select CSV file.","CSV File:*.csv");
var outputFolder = Folder.selectDialog( "Please select output folder");
inputFile.open('r');
inputFile.readln();
var datFile=[];
while(!inputFile.eof){
var line = inputFile.readln();
if(line.length > 5) datFile.push(line);
}
inputFile.close();
var FillColour = new SolidColor;
for(var a in datFile){
var line = datFile[a].split(',');
var ColourName = line[0].toString().replace(/^ +| +$/g,'');
FillColour.rgb.red = line[1].toString().replace(/^ +| +$/g,'');
FillColour.rgb.green = line[2].toString().replace(/^ +| +$/g,'');
FillColour.rgb.blue = line[3].toString().replace(/^ +| +$/g,'');
app.backgroundColor = FillColour;
app.documents.add(new UnitValue( 500, 'px' ), new UnitValue( 500, 'px' ), 72, ColourName, NewDocumentMode.RGB, DocumentFill.BACKGROUNDCOLOR);
var saveFile = File(outputFolder +"/"+ColourName+".jpg");
SaveForWeb(saveFile,50);

    I am trying to convert an image into intense Black with these settings: C40 M0 Y0 K100.
    I wonder what the best way is to do this in Photoshop.

    Thank you very much.

    I'd be willing to bet that the printer was referring to flat screens and not the halftone when he suggested 100K + 40 c. Two tones including C will mount a Cyan - the amount of distribution determined by the form d/max and the Cyan curve.

    Because you are dealing with portraits and don't have no control over the choice of the lithographer or the chance to talk with him, 4/C b & w can be risky. Change in the volume of minor local ink on the press can give you all sorts of variations in dominant color according to the tonal balance of separate plates (channels).

    Unless you can talk to the lithographer, for more security, you pay for half-tone b & w systematic reproduction. It seems safer, even if it is disappointing.

  • Convert Image into JPEGEncodedImage

    Is it possible to convert an Image in JPEGEncodedImage?

    Thank you!

    I think that I thought about it, but havn't tried.

    Create a Bitmap image, and then use it to create a Graphics object.

    Take a look at the level of the SVG file in samples of the JDE. It's the svgcldcdemo. Basically to rewrite it so that you get your SVGImage, then instead of paint called do you it manually. This will draw the SVGImage for graphics and so the Bitmap image.

    Then call JPEGEncodedImage.encode and pass the Bitmap. Walla, a SVGImage to a JPEGEncodedImage.

    Hope that helps.

  • convert image into points

    How can I create a fade (in my case, from black to white) using the same individual points of size? I don't want mixed, because the size of the dots varies. I want a fade from the concentration of 100% (black, no space) at 0% concentration (no points). Someone knows how to do this? Thank you!

    Based on the example you provided, you want a dithering. You can do this by setting your gradient then go to Image/Mode/Bitmap and changing the Diffusion Dither method and play until you get something you like.

    You can also do with a gradient layer style.

    Hope that helps.

  • Converting Images to CMYK for Print Publication

    When in my workflow should I be converting images to CMYK for print publication?

    Currently, I shoot FIRST pictures with my SLR in Adobe RGB, import images into Photoshop for manipulating and then convert the final image, the size to CMYK before placing it in my Indesign document. Before you go to print, I convert my PDF files using the [PDF / X - 1a: 2001] preset. I use a system that is balanced with a profile for my monitor.

    As many of my photos have shades of green, I am often disappointed by the conversion to CMYK because lose I the saturation and brightness. I'm doing something wrong? Is there a better way to preserve the quality of the color in my images when you go to a printer?

    Never. Leave it as RGB.

    All modern printers should happily accept RGB images. PDF/X-4 is the modern

    standard. X-1a can be described as archaic.

    Hello

    I want to convert image format jpeg bmp .is there a way to convert jpeg to bmp.

    Unfortunately no, the BMP format should be relatively simple, so make a writer shouldn't be hard. Just know that an EncodedImage returns an encoded image. a Bitmap returns the color of raw RGB/A information.

    A good explanation of the BMP format is actually on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMP_file_format

  • Place a still Image into a form?

    I just DVD Studio Pro in again and I must say, DVD Studio Pro, has been much more easy and intuitive. What I want to do in again is place a still image into a round shape that I copied from the submenu of city lights. See the image below:

    Screen Shot 2014-12-11 at 9.35.29 AM.pngHowever, when I import a single .png file of my video as an asset, select the circle and try to drag the image to the circle, he just sits just above the menu and not get "inserted" in the shape of circle. I'm doing something wrong? The text below the circles are the buttons, but I need to convert forms buttons too? I went back to City Lights submenu, which is a part of the library menu again and I tried my photo drag the selected circle, but it did not work either.

    Can someone tell me please how to get a simple image inside shapes? I am looking for tutorials on this and can't seem to find a.

    Help, please!

    I thought about it myself - you select the shape, and then go to object > convert to replacement layer. Wow. I couldn't find this option anywhere - even not in the PDF file for the software...

  • How do I place what the images are RGB using the separations preview?

    2 questions: 1. how to spot what the images are RGB using the separations preview? 2. is there an easy way to convert those to CMYK without opening each to the PS? I've done it before all the time but I'm rusty and don't remember how I did it. I'm on CS6.

    One of the many methods to discover, you can:

    (1) you can use the links Panel.  Open the links Panel. Go to the menu of the Control Panel, and then choose Panel Options. In the dialog box Options Panel, under Show column check 'color space '. Now, when you view your links Panel it will show the color space of all related images.

    (2) you can use the preflight and set a preflight profile. In the profile, go to the section color > color spaces and unauthorized Modes and check RGB. Then all RGB images have reported.

    (3) If you need to know before you place the images, use Adobe Bridge. Open the folder where the image. Use the metadata Panel and view the color space of images.

  • Convert image in a table to a radial dimension

    Hey everybody,

    Thanks for taking the time to look at it.

    Here's the question, the code, I'm running works, but I think that it is possible to run faster, I'm not sure how to rewrite the algorithm to do this. I take a picture (seen on the page, the top left figure) symmetrical around the center point. What I'm trying to do, is to collapse all data in this image into a one-dimensional array, which is a radial representation of this image (screenshot, figure in the top right panel). The code that I currently use is illustrated in the figure on the bottom. Subtly which could lead to confusion is the multiple by a factor of 4 in the middle of the code, it was here when I started programming, and I guess that's a scale factor used to kind of spread on several elements of the array data in the table of dimensions a subsequence. As you can see code works effectively, but on average, this operation works on a 56 x 56 px image, so the code must run 3136 times and I don't think it is of the most effiencient way possible, the code takes about 1 ms to run for an image of px of 56 x 56 on our machine. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to speed things up, it's half the neck of the bottle for our analysis in real time!

    Thank you

    Joe

    jowparks wrote:

    Hi Bob,

    You have the right idea, which would give us a version of the radial representation. The problem is that if you only use this row of pixels, you take almost all your image data. The radial profile resulting will be extremely noisy compared to the case when you use all the image data to generate radial representation.

    Thanks for your help guys, I feel that there is a way to rewrite the algorithm (entirely) to make this thing run a lot faster than it already is, but I'm just at a loss on how to do it.

    Joe,

    Good point.  This is so how have your Pixels and them, eating too much.  Am I right that you know the coordinates of the center of the Image?  For more convenience, I'll call these details O (for "origin").  I'll also want representation radial distance R (in pixels).  Note that the coordinates of O do not necessarily need to be whole - he may fall "between the pixels.

    Here's what I'd do.  I guess it would be just as fast and precise as possible.  You basically want to use all the Pixels to come with an array of "average intensity" R + 1 (instead of using the example of the x-axis as I suggested).  What you want to do, is to get the average of all the distance pixels 1 from the origin, the average of all the distance of 2 Pixels, etc.  What a pain!

    We therefore reverse the problem.  Take all the Pixels and calculate their distance (rounded) o and include them in the calculation of the average.  Oooh, how?  What I would do, is to create a table of R + 1 of queues to contain the Pixel values.  When you look at Pixel-x-y, at the distance r from O, enqueue the Pixel value in the queue to index r (you know the Pixel if r > R, of course).

    When you have treated all the Pixels in R of O, you of R + 1 queues with intensities of Pixels at the distance r of o.  Just replace the lines with a picture of the averages of each queue.  The fast way to form the average of a queue is to clear the queue and retain its contents (in a table), then the table on average.  You now have used all the points in the Image, (b) take account of its distance from O and (c) calculated averages improved S/N and you have done quite effectively.

    This should be easy to code and fast to run (I'll bet a dime it will beat any other algorithm proposed in the next 24 hours...).
