Convert PSD files into InDesign RBG to CMYK

I design the layout of a book in InDesign Creative Suite. I imported the 77 .psd files in the InDesign document. I have them created in Photoshop in the RGB color space. How can I convert pictures into a working on them in InDesign CMYK color space? I prefer convert InDesign on their conversion in Photoshop, save it back and re-binder. Many thanks for any help!

Choose Convert to Destination and choose a CMYK profile when you export the PDF file.

  • Layer of control of PSD files in InDesign

    Hello

    I'm trying to make the layer of the PSD placed in InDesign visible and hidden.

    It's my Source:

    DataLinkReference InterfacePtr < ILinkObjectReference > (dl, UseDefaultIID());

    If (dataLinkReference)

    {

    UIDRef objectUIDRef (db, dataLinkReference-> GetUID());

    InterfacePtr < IGraphicLayerInfo > pIGraphicLayerInfo (objectUIDRef, IID_IGRAPHICLAYERINFO);
    If (pIGraphicLayerInfo! = 0)
    {

    int 32 iLayerCount = pIGraphicLayerInfo-> GetNumberLayers();
    }

    }

    The problem is that I always get from 0 to iLayerCount. But there are already 2 layers in the psd.

    Someone has an idea?

    Thanks in advance,.

    Stefan Seidl

    Hello Stefan,

    before that I forget, pls correct: InterfacePtr child (parent-> QueryChild (i)); you know it's a request...

    Insert the following code before the pIGraphicLayerInfo-> GetNumberLayers()

    Result (kSuccess) error code.
    If (! iGraphicLayerInfo-> GetIsInitialized()) {}
    InterfacePtr (iInitializeGraphicLayersCmd)
    CmdUtils::CreateCommand (kInitializeGraphicLayersCmdBoss));
    If (! iInitializeGraphicLayersCmd) {}
    result = kFailure;
    } else {}
    iInitializeGraphicLayersCmd-> SetItemList (UIDList (ChildRef));
    result = CmdUtils::ProcessCommand (iInitializeGraphicLayersCmd);
    If (result is kSuccess)
    If (! iGraphicLayerInfo-> GetIsInitialized())
    result = kFailure;
    }
    }
    If (result! = kSuccess)
    ...

    This will fix your problems.

  • convert dwg files into jpeg, etc. for the WCS

    Hi forum,

    Anyway to convert an autocad drawings (.dwg) 30 MB. PNG. JPG. JPEG, or. GIF without losing any details? I think using them to the WCS.

    Thank you

    py

    I have had success using the following steps:

    (1) using a free software Autodesk AutoCAD, I printed the drawing as a PDF using a print-to-PDF freeware driver. This creates a PDF version of the drawing. (Before printing I've usually turn off all layers of useless to keep the sleek flooplan.)

    (2) using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 to display the newly created PDF I use the Adobe Acrobat Reader software to copy the chart to the Clipboard by clicking on the button with the icon of a camera on it and drawing a selection box around the entire chart. Note: Zooming in on the PDF will increase the final resolution and the quality of the drawing. However, if you zoom in too far, the graph will be too large to fit in the Clipboard. In this case, you will not get an error, you're just going to end up with an empty Clipboard when you try to paste in step 3. If the Clipboard is empty, try zooming in Adobe Acrobat Reader of re - try to copy the chart to the Clipboard.

    3) once in the Clipboard, the graph can be pasted into a drawing pixel like MS Paint, Adobe PhotoShop, JASC, Visio program, etc.. I usually convert the image to grayscale or black and white to not compete with WCS color heatmap and AP information overlays.

    (4) the final step is to save the chart as a JPEG. I will usually select the best compression setting of quality (instead of smaller size), because I have to be able to read the details such as part numbers, etc. Note: it may also be useful to increase the contrast of the image for best results (if your bitmap editing program offers this feature), but this is not mandatory.

    To do this without having to buy special programs, you can find the software on the following links:

    http://www.Autodesk.com (has a freeware called DWG TrueView DWG Viewer).

    http://www.pdf995.com (print-to-PDF freeware printer driver - using advanced settings allows you to control the DPI settings)

    http://www.Adobe.com (for the free Adobe Acrobat Reader 7)

    MS Paint provided with Windows XP and is (generally) under START-> PROGRAMS-> ACCESSORIES-> PAINT. Although 3rd party paint programs will do a better job for the contrast settings, etc..

    While this process involves several steps that I would, it worked fine.

    I also saw an improvement of product for the WCS request can natively import the CAD files, but there was no indication regarding whether or when we might see this improvement.

    I hope this helps.

  • Where to start to turn a PSD file into a. SVG file?

    New to Illustrator and the need to send a black and white image as a .svg file. When I format the file open in PSD, where then click? Thanks for the definitive measures needed to be taken to achieve...

    Hi there-

    If you use CS6, the option to save an image into a .svg AI file is accessible by going on file > save as... .svg by choosing from the drop-down list:

    Before Illustrator CS6, this action used in the Save for Web function. Learn more about the switch here: http://blogs.adobe.com/ivandavid/illustrator_cs6_save_for_web/

    As mentioned in the article above, if you use an earlier version of Illustrator, you will need to go to file > save for Web to save as .svg. Michael article linked above has a lot of very useful information about the Save as .svg in Illustrator.

    Good luck!

  • Import a .pdf and Ai file into indesign cc

    Hello

    I would like to know if there is a way to import pdf files and the AI in indesign cc 2014?

    Thank you

    If you're wondering how to use a PDF or AI in the form of a graphic in InDesign, file > Place is what you want. If you're wondering how to manipulate elements of a PDF or AI after it was placed in InDesign, this isn't how it works, but you can turn layers on or off in a file placed if you go to object > object layer Options.

    I was just able to generate a PSD file, that the file was in fact a 2D photo converted into a 2.5 D image. The result is rather crude, but it's my first time doing this.

    I want to know how to insert the PSD file into video editing software Pinnacle Ultimate 17 Avid Studio.  Pinnacle seems not to recognize this file format, for some reason any.

    I would like to convert the PSD file to MP4 format.

    Your image is a still image, I guess. Save it as a TIFF or JPEG file and import that into your video editing software. No need to a MP4 file.
