Convert WAV to MP3 in Windows Media Player

This should be simple, but I can't understand it. I pulled out all my CDs in Windows Media Player, but looks like most of the formats WAV files instead of MP3 files is. How now convert WAV files into MP3 files in Windows Media Player? I heard the WAV files take up more room.

You don't say what version of Windows you are using, so I assume you are using Windows 7.

When you ripped the CDS have located (WMP) format you want by:

Organize-> Options-> rip music ?

WMP is not intended to be a program of file converter - this is a program of player. If you want MP3s instead of. WAV, you can try to re-rip MP3 CD as the format selection (if that's your problem). Alternatively, there are 3rd party programs converter programs available on the web, but as this isn't something that I always do I'm not able to recommend.

  • How to convert wma and wav, mp4 files and what not not mp3 with Windows media player?

    * Original title: music questions

Music has become a huge problem for me.   My car CD player only supports mp3 format.  I wish I could burn my CD from which I get used various locations, so that I can play in my car. Or convert files I have, which are not in mp3 format.  I played the same CD in my car for years.  It's a little sad.  And convert mp3 no mp3 files, so I can play them in my car, because I don't have a player other than Windows media player and speakers belong good markets.   How to convert files to wma and wav and mp4 and what not in mp3?

Music is expensive nowadays and the multiple formats and thus loss of music bought and in the cloud, or itunes 'cannot locate the source' will not play, and when devices in the event of a failure or who are upgraded drives me crazy.  I have more music in my life and I wish that we would go back to portable music as CD.

I usually use Windows Media player to RIP CD, that I find at thrift stores.   I have my brother gave me, on the PC that is in all sorts of types of music files.  I found a job online converter and it is, according to me, so thank you guys for suggesting that.  Have tried 3 different ones and finally found one that works in the last one.  I think my brain might need a bit of adjustment, of our days, (won't tell you music I have on CD, would seriously date), no kidding, but probably my PC could also use the setting.   I also have itunes for Windows, but have hardly used it.

  • Burning mp3 in windows media player

Is it possible to burn mp3 files in windows media player 8. I have converted wav to mp3 files, but just cannot find a setting that allows me to burn MP3s to cd discs.

All files are treated as wav audio files in full-size.

    Absolutely...

I used to do exactly that myself... these days I use streaming but before that it was a great way to store a large amount of music in a very small space.

The minor inconvenience only, is that it can sometimes be a bit tricky if you want to find a particular piece of music among so many things, and you really need a screen or a disp; Ay that shows a good amount of details to find your way around.

However, if you are happy with what you have fell on you are. All DVD or CD mp3 players will be able play this content.

  • 21 of Firefox opens not mp3s in Windows Media Player

I put the option program of file type for the two 'windows media player' and 'request' and Firefox always opens the mp3 in a generic player in a new tab MP3s played in the popup from Windows Media Player (after download) fine in the latest version of Firefox 20.X. I tried to disable the Microsoft WMP plugin (the only way to prevent them from opening in a new tab using Quicktime was to disable the plugin (QuickTime).

MIME MP3 settings in Quicktime format have been unchecked and the settings of Windows extension all are defined on Windows Media Player as the default player for MP3s.

Hello sewing1243, 21 firefox now uses the codecs that are included in your operating system that allow him to directly read mp3 and mpeg (also for html5 videos). in order to disable that, enter about: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named media.windows - media - foundation.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to false.

Another way to download files without tweaking the above-mentioned preference would be to click right on the link that leads to an mp3 file or right click on the drive in firefox and choose to download the file like that...

  • How to convert files iTunes music to Windows Media Player in Windows Vista?

I am running Windows Vista and have just bought a Palm Treo Pro PDA.  I would like to convert my music files in my itunes folder on for
Windows Media so that I can upload them on my Palm Treo Pro.  I am a real novice at this computer stuff because I always had someone around to help me.  I have now decided to do it myself up-to-date with technology, so if anyone has an answer for me, they will have to set out very simply so that I can follow.  I'd appreciate any help supply. Thank you

    Hello Babefromthebush,

Thank you for your message.  Open Windows Media Player.  Click on the Library tab and then add them to the library.  Your files must be located in your personal folder click OK.  Which will add your Media Player files.

It seems that you did not actually transfer files... did you
check files on the jumpdrive to see if they would play?

Might be interesting to try another.

  • How do I synchronize the underwater Nabaiji MP3 with Windows Media Player player

    Hello

I have a whole collection of music on Windows Media Player.

I just bought an underwater Nabaiji MP3 player which is a 2 GB, so I can swim to the music as it becomes boring just to get on and off the track.

It says on the instructions which are very vague and little "Store musicnin the menu root products"and"this player supports MP3 and WMA music files and this player is PC and MAC compatible and connects via a USB cable supplied with the unit.

Then I plugged the USB and came Nabaiji MP3 icon.

Because of the music I have on Windows Media Player, being much more 2 GB, I followed the depth in Windows Media Player instructions to synchronize the music chosen on the unit as follows:

    1. I made a playlist and title it.

    2. I sync to the device list.

    3. it will still play music on the device.

As quite a novice in this area please can someone help me because I lost 11 hours so far and get to the stage where the PC almost took a hammer to it.  Very frustarting and might make you cry.

    All of the suggestions.

    Help, please!

    Concerning

    Jason

Try to add content from devices to your music library

One main folder music is in one of them right click and select Add to library and that it points to the music library

So WMP will read the library adding :/

  • Changing the length of mp3s with Windows Media Player

    Hello

Is there a way I can edit mp3 music files to remove empty sections?

I would like to remove the empty space from the beginning or the end of the file.

I know that I can do it in iTunes before you transfer the songs to my phone, but is it possible to change the original mp3 files that are saved on my laptop?

I currently have version 12.0.7601.17514 installed.

To do a quick search on Google, it seems that I might need to install a plug-in.  However, I don't know which is best for what I need or cannot be trusted.
