Cookie POST

Hi all.

When I get a cookie from the 1st http connection, I save it as an in this regard using tempCookie tempCookie = httpConn.getHeaderField("Set-Cookie");

When I open a second http connection, I take this tempCookie in the first connection and place it as a httpConn.setRequestProperty ("Cookie", tempCookie);

However, I think that this tempCookie is not correctly defined in the second httpConnection because there is a mistake and the session can be closed or something.

How can I make sure that we pass one connection to another?

Thank you.

Take a look at the code of Strawberry (sample of facebook), they have a nice cookie manager that works very well.

There is the chance that an add-on or plugin installed in Firefox is the origin of the problem. To learn, you can try the Mode without failure of Firefox.

Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables some settings and disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

(If you are using an additional theme, place you in default theme.)

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Mode without failure of Firefox in the Help menu by clicking on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item:

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  • Why can't I sign into my gmail? I tried all the suggestions posted including clear cookies and cache.

I tried all the options on this site and nothing works. I can get my mail on google chrome and internet explore, but not on firefox, WHY?

It is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted if clear cookies does not work.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete the other files of cookies as cookies.sqlite - journal in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.

  • Cookies are be corrupt

    Greetings,

I visit a Web site every day. One of the features is a photo gallery. A view of Gallery page, there are settings that control how the Gallery is displayed. I have sorted by things when the pictures were posted, filename, etc.. I can also set how many photos I want on a page.

I was told that these display characteristics are stored in cookies on the site.

The problem is that on the first page of the Gallery, I put my display preferences that are somehow by date reported and 24 per page. I then refresh the page. Things work perfectly. Then I click next to move to the next page. After the new page, I think that the display settings by default those who initially, I changed revenue.

I opened FF developed mode and looked at the list of cookie. I used the feature inspector to find the cookie that has been associated with the selection of the kind. There was one for a page (ppperpage). However, it looked like this:

    ppperpage = a % 3a 7% 3A % 7Bi % 3A 0% 3Bi % 3 a 24% 3Bi % 3 a 1% 3Bs % 3 a 1% 3A % 22% 22% 3Bi % 3A2% 3Bi % 3A 9999% 3Bi % 3 a 3% 3Bs % 3 a 3% 3A % 22des % 22% 3Bi % 3-4% 3Bi % 3 a 0% 3Bi % 3-5% 3BN % 3Bi % 3 to 6% 3BN % 3B %7D

None of the other cookies looks like that and that's why I wonder about the corruption of cookie.

If I delete the cookie ppperpage and then use the set cookie to establish ppperpage 24, when I look at the list of cookies, everything looks OK. Now, if I move from one gallery to another page and watch the Gallery display settings have reverted back to the original one. And then, if I look at the list of cookie, I see two cookies ppperpage, that I put and the above reappeared.

It becomes very inconvenient and many others who use this site gallery face the same problem of losing the settings as they move forward to the next page in the gallery.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help!

  • 35 Firefox can't remove google cookie

I just noticed that I was wearing a google cookie. I run a strict cookie policy and I had done, already an exception to "allow for session" cookies to books.google.com . I noticed today, in a completely new session, I was wearing a google cookie for ".". Google.com."I tried to delete this cookie several times. FF "behaves as if I deleted the cookie. I close the cookie GUI and here it is again... just like now...

    Name: PREF

    Area:. Google.com
    Path: /.
Send to: any kind of connection
    Expires on: Thursday, December 8, 2016 16:48:07

I've removed the exception for books.google.com closed and restarted FF, looked at the cookies and it's once again! What is happening with this?
Just typing this message, I deleted and found "is reborn again" this cookie. I don't want to. I don't want to remove "all cookies" because some are at the heart of my security strategy in the management of my Web sites. I tried to type in the cookie of GUI "Google.com" and the value of 'block' and that's where (the block), I also put a 'block' for. Google.com and the cookie reappears.

So what is happening and why none of the usual methods does not work? There are still a few filters 'hidden' between google and Mozilla? I know that Mozilla has worked with Google in the local domain and the "safe browsing" appdata folder, I see a number of files «goog...» ».

I need to turn this option off to get my computers cookies google?

    Hello FredMcD-

Apparently, there is a more widespread than my particular cookies.sqlite file problem.

    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/6301114/how-pref-cookie-Google-com-appears-in-Firefox

There is a bug report filed here:
    https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368255
But how old it is I don't know.

More frightening still is this link:
    http://RT.com/USA/NSA-advertisers-cookies-track-browsers-034/

I already said you cookies.sqlite deletion (or delete all cookies) was not an option.

However, I managed to get rid of it using the SQLite Add-ons Manager. I installed the add-on and found google pref cookie in cookies Moz and the so-called 'Master' or something or other and deleted here.

It has now disappeared from my browser and never returned. I hope this post can help others... but the question remains, how did get there?

This edition is simply to add that, in my first attempts to remove the cookie Google Prefs, I had added a 'block' in the exception handler for the two google.com and *. Google.com

Once again, I have this, my own post marked as "resolved".

    Kind regards
    Axis

  • Clear the Cache and Cookies... downside? What problems this may create?

I'm having problems of speed, scroll wheel, etc... and didn't "clean" my MacBook Pro 15 "Late 2008 with upgrade of RAM because I do not know how to clean it up." So, I was informed that the cache and cookies from 8 years of use of the compensation would be a good start. Before you do it... What problems it will create? WilI I need to know ALL the passwords and ID to all my sites, I need to prepare and or know that I need to deal with when I do this? Are there other things 'cleansing' can I do to make my MacBook Pro works best? Thank you and God bless you!

Start with these simple steps (after that you made that you have a backup of all your data!):

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

This will put you in Mode without failure, which will be even slower than you used to. Don't worry: after starting over, you can immediately restart in normal mode. In this way, a lot is 'cleaned' automatically.

If it doesn't improve speed, thanks for posting a report of Etrecheck: http://etrecheck.com

  • whenever I post a comment about a story using firefox, I received it. An error has occurred, please try again, more later (403007)

I don't know, but I think that this could be linked to sites that use Disqus for comments. You can check or post a link to a page that generates this problem?

    Here's a wild guess:

If you block the "third-party" cookies, you will need to unlock. Who is on the Panel of the Privacy Options dialog box. This article help show where it is: Web sites say cookies are blocked - pledge.

I get a file (pixel.cgi) who wants to download when I use certain sites (Groupon / Thomas Cook). I scanned my mac for the virus, but none can be found.

The page has at least 3 forms invisible that automatically submit to securepaths. com which is probably some sort of tracking site. The site sends answers normally capable of managing internal Firefox, so I don't know why you're getting invited to record in the form of a download.

The standard approach to download actions wrong is to be wary of corruption of the settings file that stores these settings. You can rename the file and Firefox to regenerate to see if that solved the problem. (You will need to review the Applications section of the Preferences dialog box to reselect the default preferences, such as your favorite email client and the PDF Viewer).

    Here's how:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press enter/return

In the first table in the page, click the "Show in Finder" button (in Windows: "Show the file")

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > exit/Quit

Pause while Firefox finishing his cleaning, then rename the mimeTypes.rdf to something like mimeTypes.old

When I click on the drop-down lists for options on a Web site, the list disappears before I can click on any option. I find clear the cache and cookies every time, it will work only once before the compensation again. So it must be allowed for each unique click on an option.

  • Cookies.SQLite set ReadOnly, it disappeared when I went to undo read-only

    =

See the solution at the end of this post

    =

You do not now know what I tried to accomplish with this approach, in Ubuntu 12.04 and Firefox 23 than my current browser version. Whether, there no desired effect, Firefox will not save the session cookies.

I have these files in my profile from 'cookies' in the name:

    cookies.SQLite.bak
    cookies.SQLite.bak - reconstruction
    cookies.SQLite - shm
    Cookies-sqlite-wal

I was going to ask this question, and glancing in the profile to see what I have here, I closed Firefox and renamed cookies.sqlite.bak cookies.sqlite. Open Firefox and I see the lack of cookies.sqlite and again, there is a cookies.sqlite.bak.

This time, when the browser is opened on this issue pending, I copied cookies.sqlite.bak to cookies.sqlite.bak (copy) and renamed that cookies.sqlite. It has the permissions to read / write and it remains to be seen what happens when I close the browser and reopen it.

My privacy setting is set to accept all cookies, including third parties and to reject cookies when I close Firefox.

CookieMonster is used to replace Firefox default for sites where I want to accept cookies so that I can keep the site preferences or to stay connected. CookieMonster is not obeyed, the cookies are ignored.

    ==

    Solution

    ==

Based on the response in the third post in the thread, since the two top lines of post of Cor - el, I cleared my problem with just deleting all files with 'cookies.sqlite' at the beginning of their names, close and restart Firefox. Firefox restored all the names, and the new cookies.sqlite has the permissions to read / write without my definition.

Tab of confidentiality under Edit > Preferences:
Firefox is configured to use the custom settings for the story, and I accept all cookies, including third-party and keep them until I close Firefox.

I use the add-on CookieMonster to override this default setting on some sites, so I can keep their cookies from one session to another, which saves some site preferences and allows me to stay connected to my web site.

Back on the Privacy tab, clear history when Firefox closes, but in the settings, I don't understand cookies. (I included cache and the Web site offline data).

To include cookies here would cause Firefox clear all cookies at the end of the session, including those who save my site preferences and keep me connected via the settings in CookieMonster.

Have you tried to delete all the files cookies.sqlite and allow Firefox to create a new file?

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.
