Location of the computer has changed with the HDD Upgrade
I live just outside OR Belfast. I just upgraded my HARD for one SSD drive. My computer is an iMac late 2009.
I had a lot of alerts on my iPhone while allowing this new record, since it is considered as opening session on a new computer, which is perfectly fine. But authorities said that the location of my iMac is now in MANCHESTER, England (including the alert when I logged on my Apple account to ask this question)! Should I worry?
I'm fighting to understand this. When I go in the Date and time preferences it gives my correct location. Local Apple authorized company to upgrade my HARD drive order in the SSD, probably from Manchester, is there something integral to the SSD which gives a Manchester location? If so, is it possible I can reset?
Thank you
Location Services uses the location of the router is using your Mac. The Mac itself has no possibility to determine its location. Extract from on location Services in OS X and Safari - Apple Support:
Your approximate location is determined using information from local Wi - Fi networks...
The iMac may contains a location cached to a bygone era - that of FSAA install the SSD. Time zone of your Mac (in system preferences > Date & time > time zone) is based on the extensive location of the IP address of your router and can simply choose the closest major city.
If so, is it possible I can reset?
Perhaps. Open system preferences > privacy and security > protection of personal information. Authenticate, then deselect Enable the location Services. Select again.
If this does not work, try cycling the power on your router.
If it still does not work, give it a day or more resets automatically.

My computer has changed automatically i.e. office, pilot
I have a HP 64 bit OS with Core I3 processor. I installed on this basic Windows 7 Home Edition computer. I had a problem about several days ago that my computer is changed i.e. funds, fonts, save the location of online storage, etc. It happened when I wasn't using my computer in 3 days. I do not understand why, but when I turned it on, the computer has changed. Today, I have to work with this condition and begin to familiar with it. Honestly, I prefer to work with the performance of the normal computer like that. Please help me how to solve this problem.

my computer has never been able to upgrade to vista service pack 2, it is said that he failed and error code 80070570. I have also a box gray volume that keeps popping up on my screen. It is grey with a yellow speaker and a red volume bar that says 0. I tried everything on the forums as a clean boot and the registry editor. Any ideas?
I recommend you:
Go to a command prompt:
Start, all programs, accessories, command prompt.
Right click on command prompt and select "Run as Administrator" http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/How-do-I-run-an-application-once-with-a-full-administrator-access-token > and run sfc/scannow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833>
Type exit (to close the elevated command prompt window)
Reset
See if that solves the problem.
If not, run the update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821system tool >

How to format the drive? ... I can get to a command prompt... but it doesn't work because it does not recognize the drive C, I am also afraid that the upgrade disk will need some remains of Vista. Is there a work around? Help, please. Cannot boot mode safe either.
See the following work around to do a clean install with Windows 7 upgrade version:

Display has changed with the last update
I turned on my computer this morning and I saw that an update has been installed, now everything is displayed more small. My shortcut icons are smaller, the fonts on explore are smaller, even when I rebooted I still had the same problem
Restore point:
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the above does not fix it:
Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.
Then:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution
Change the screen resolution
Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.
Understand the Extras in Windows Vista and Windows Update info is at the link above.
You might want to change how you get updates:
Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Vista will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.
Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.
See you soon.
Something has changed with Firefox in the last 3 weeks?
About 3-4 weeks ago that I started having bad to stay connected to my account I have with a site that offers paid web TV. I've never had a problem with staying connected. I log into my account, I choose a programme I want to watch, say a 10 minutes new cast. After seeing this I click on another program, I would look after and the site says I am disconnected. So I connect again. The play even begins. Sometimes I connect and 10 seconds later I said that I am not connected.
I tried with my IE11 and have no problems with disconnects. However, I really don't like to use IE but like my Firefox. What should I change in my Firefox to solve this problem? Any ideas? Thank you!If you are in permanent mode of PB then all cookies are session cookies that automatically expire when you close Firefox (i.e. ens the PB mode session).
You have to disable permanent mode of PB to make a website, don't forget you and possibly open a 'new window private' If you want to not Firefox to store information when you visit specific sites. -
Computer Dell laptop with Windows 7, upgrade to IE9 and now the computer is slow
Original title: did someone really knows what I need to do?I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 (I have set accidetally to level internet explorer to 9 widows. I need to Java and Adobe. But my computer is slow. I do not know what prorams that I need to run start or to uninstall... Someone really knows what I need to do?
FYI: with a topic like this, you have 2 strikes against you. Most of the people don't bother wasting time looking to see what your problem... Next time be brief and specific about your problem, is to give an application (with version) and the code error or describe your problem briefly.
If you don't want to be a Guinea pig, you can follow these instructions to uninstall Explorer 9:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Internet-Explorer/help/IE-9/How-do-i-install-or-uninstall-Internet-Explorer-9Looks like you want to control the programs that run at startup, right? It is always a good thing to do. You can run MSCONFIG (type in the search window on the start menu). See the "Startup" tab So, you can use other applications to display the same information. For example, CCleaner has a 'tool' that does the same thing. NirSoft does: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/what_run_in_startup.html
Browse the list of questions, and if you decide all. For example many applications load stub apps to speed up their startup. If you do not use all the days of the app, uncheck the box and it does not load. If you do not recognize, this is often the case, track the location of path or to register 'Command' to try to understand what program it is for. Use google to search for file names. Other people have asked the same question and got answers on the importance of the application is.
Related, another thing to work is 'Services' (new type who, in the start menu, look for the window). They are a special software that runs in the background to provide services such as faxing or printing. Yet once, often you need not all services. You can find a lot of information on how to do this in Google search for "Harden Win XP" or related expressions. They call it "Soak" because in this context deactivation of services makes your computer safer, more 'hard' hack by eliminating the places to be hacked. Don't you worry that many of the articles are 5 or more years, they will be still valid. Here are some links to help you get started:
The attached file of the DMP is (7A) KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR bug check.
This bug check indicates that the data page of the kernel of the required paging file cannot be read into memory.
Error checking 7 a, {fffff6fc40007f08, ffffffffc000000e, 4c4f8860, fffff88000fe1630}
The 2nd parameter of the bug check is 0xc000000e = DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: there is error with hardware disk.
0xC000000E or STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE, usually indicates a hardware failure or an incorrect drive configuration. Check your cables and check the disk with the available from the manufacturer of your drive diagnostic utility. If you use old PATA (IDE) disks, this status code may indicate a bad master/subordinate drive configuration.
It is also possible that a driver is causing corruption.
