coordination of audio to record and slide

Dear community!

What is the (easiest) way to coordinate an audio recording and a slide, if there are a lot of items on the slide and I want items appears, just at the moment where I am at some point of the audio recording? I can coordinate the elements of time, but I want to make it very carefully.

Sincerely

Thomas

My workflow:

  • Add the audio excerpt of the slide and all objects.
  • Select the objects that should be moved for a while.
  • Use Play slide (play button on the timeline or just the space bar)
  • Stop when the time is reached (use SPACEBAR)
  • Use CTRL-L to align the start of the object selected at this time there
  • Select the following objects.
  • Use the SPACEBAR again to continue...

  • Captivate 8 themes recording and slides

When I record with Captivate 8, the slide of custom theme I use is always on top of the background of the app that I recorded. The only way I can save software simulations currently is to save them in a new project, copy and paste the application on a slide in the target project. Paste as background also puts the application under the theme of the slide.  I used this same theme in heading 7 and never had this problem.

  • Any way to record Audio narration first and then video then?

I think it's a better workflow (and ends up being faster than both both audio and recording after). We found another program that will allow us to do (but that has fewer features than Captivate).

Our work will not spring for the two so we're throwing on the workflow functions (unless someone knows how do - hopefully its really obvious and I were just being dumb).

I know that in the past, people have used the notes in a PowerPoint slide - just seems weird, you can't do it for other types of video recording and demos.

    Any ideas?

Scaffolding is a pedagogical concept in education. This is a pretty good explanation (even just the first paragraph): http://edglossary.org/scaffolding/

Scaffolding of process (and providing limitation or restriction) can be a good way to ensure a higher quality end product. If you use a software like Adobe voice he had built scaffolding process and restrictions. First you choose a structure (who made suggestions on what should cover each slide), and then you save the audio (never longer than ten seconds at a time) and then you adjust your layout and then you choose icons or images or text you sort your music and then you go through and then you export (and adjust export credits and titles). This is a truncated version of the film process that will guide you to make a better product. It's (one of the reasons) for which voice projects come out much more pleasant and the profession you could do on other software. You could do the same thing with PowerPoint, but you would use copious workaround solutions to get your content and PowerPoint does not provide you with this scaffolding as well, even as the most talented producers still fighting produce something better than a typical project of the voice.

I'm not fussed on the subject all beings in a single product. I use the product adobe for over 15 years now - I can switch between programs that respond to different tasks. The real reason, I can't use both, it's that my work won't pay for two software which have similar results. If Captivate could do screencast-o-matic can do (without the workaround solutions), it would be a simple choice to go with Captivate. It would be even to be in the Captivate program - it could be in a sister program available with package of Captivate. The same way After Effects and first compliment.

Now, it seems Captivate has more functions, but an integrated of any process which means that we will probably just stick with Screencast-O-Matic.

What I want to really, it is on Adobe to take the understanding of theories and teaching that they applied to the voice and slate and apply that Captivate (or a program that is packaged in a purchase of Captivate). I think it's weird that they have not yet...

  • How to delete a slide and join its audio to a previous slide

    Hi all

I just started using Captivate and I'm trying to edit a record of captivate and found that Auto has created a lot of slides, I don't want to have in my presentation (such as 30 slides that have been generated for a flashing button). I recorded a live session with multiple users, audio narration recorded presentation files are now linked to the slides.

What I would really like to do now is, multiselect all the slides, I have need, delete them and at the same time to fix all of their audio files to the previous slide.

And if this is not possible, I would also welcome with another way to achieve what I need - the addition of the audio from the other slides in the first of this series.

    Please enlighten me ;-)

    Kind regards

    Holger

    Hello

You must first identify the audio clips. Remove the slides you want. Then, you could probably edit audio for a slide (or the previous slide to deleted ones) and edit audio. Note that when mounting audio, you have the possibility to insert audio extra during the editing process by using the button in the library. This is noting the clips on slides that have been deleted would be useful. You can find them in the library and bring.

I have windows 7 and I have problems with the audio recording and playback.  If I record something myself, or just play something on the internet, the "stretch" sound in places as the person talking is now on a particular letter; for example, they might say, "" Hi, theeeeeeeeeere. "» or "I'm nnnnnnnot a joke." How to return to nice, audio cleanup?

    Hello

  • Record and the number of the slide Reteriving

    Guys,

Can someone guide me on how to record a slide number and sent to the server, so that when the next time that the user loads the presentation should start where it was?

    Any ideas?

FYI, I am very new to AS3 and I read shared objects, but do not know if this is the way to go. All we need to ensure that, once the user leaves a Web Session and gets back allows him to say one day later, he can resume his essay from where he left, rather than do it all over again.

    How is that possible?

A SharedObject is the Flash version of a cookie, stored locally on a user's computer, and it should be usable for what you describe.  If you want to save the information on the server, then you need to check some tutorials about working with AS3, PHP and MySQL.  Try Google search using these terms...: «Tutorial AS3 PHP MySQL»

  • audio playback on some slides, and not on others

Using Captivate 6, when I saw or publish my project, I have intermittent problems with the audio does not. For example, if I saw a project, I find that the slide 3 audio does not play, but audio on all other slides is good. To address the problem, I have delete and add a link to the audio file of this slide (slide 3). When I go to preview the lesson once again, slide 3 audio works, but now slide 5 plays the audio. It is very intermittent and extremely frustrating.

I came this morning, had the same problem. I restarted my computer and everything seems to work properly. Published the draft without any audio problems.

  • Is there a way to auto-pause audio halfway in a slide?

Let me start by acknowledging - honestly, I'm not an expert.

I'm the challenge is that I need to take a pre-recorded video (duration 30 minutes) and create an e-learning using the audio from the original videos.

Recording went well, but the timing, as you can imagine, is disabled.  I'm looking for is a way to auto-pause a slide after some time has passed.  Something for audio similar to most of the objects. Something like:

Slide: On the entry - audio playback

    Break after x.y seconds

Then I can insert an object with a fast action "audio playback" and "continue". I tried to use a break in the slide itself, even if the breaks of the slide, the audio does not work.

It's the auto-pause. I don't want the user to have to click or interact to pause audio. Can I publish in .swf if questions, I'm not sure of this.

    I use 7 Captivate.

Very please, any help would be appreciated.  I'll take workarounds. Something to keep me from firing the remaining hair on (and I hope not to re-record the presentation by clicking pause whenever there is a change of wording/slide on the recording).

Such objects boxes click buttons, entry fields of text and smart forms disguised as buttons will be paused the slide. You can set up the break point to be wherever you want. But the problem is a pause in the audio.

My thought is that perhaps you edit audio so that it contains only the bits you want leading to point break. Then on the object that you use to make a break, maybe you have a tip action that reveals an attached with audio hidden object game. You would then edit the audio so that the rest of the audio is present and attach it to the hidden object. Then, when the peak action is triggered, the audio would play.

  • Premiere Pro 2014 CC, audio mixer, recording of playhead goes to 0

    Hey all,.

Just upgraded to Premiere Pro 2014 CC CC and I have a problem when you try to save a voice on.  I have done this time much, much, much before, so I don't know I'm missing just a setting somewhere or something, any advice would be appreciated.

    == Steps to reproduce:

1 shift playback slider down in the track (e.g. 00:00:42:12)

    2. in the control panel of the mixer Audio Track, select a track for recording and select the 'Save' button at the bottom of the Audio Track Mixer Panel.

    3. click on the button Play-Stop switches in the audio mixer Panel. (SPACEBAR or click both have the same problem)

    Is expected result:

The timeline should start reading 00:00:42:12 and audio should record from there.

    Is actual result:

The timeline goes to 00:00:00:00 and replaces my previous audio in the timeline panel.

Here is a screen recording of what I see.

Still, any advice would be appreciated!

    See you soon,.

    Nate

    Hey Nate,

It seems that you have made a selection in the timeline panel. Clearly the In/Out points your cursor is no longer "jump" to zero (or wherever is the point of 'In') and need to continue saving everywhere where you want.

    All the best,

  • How to play 1 audio MP3 on multiple slides in Captivate 5.5?

Hi, I have a project in which I have several screen 'movies', and I've separated records MP3 audio for each film.  (I use a segment for example, however I have to do this several times) the audio is maybe 3 minutes long and must be played during the "screen" movie, which is about 20 slides for a long time.  To my knowledge, I must break the MP3 audio in the 20 pieces so that each slide has only a small piece of audio.  Or, is there a right way have the audio start playing at the beginning of the film "screen" and I'll just match the timing to the voice slides as he plays without breaking apart audio?  I am using Captivate 5.5 on a MacBook Pro.  Thank you!

    Hello

    Welcome to the Adobe Forums.

How long is the Audio files?

There is an option in Captivate 5.5 through which you can distribute your Audio files on multiple slides

    (1) right click (Control click on MAC) on the slide from which you want to start the Audio

    2) import-> Audio

    (3) you get a window, choose option 2

    (4) it will distribute Audio, depending on the length of the blades.

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you

    Vikram

  • Change audio after recording a video of Captivate

I have a situation where I need to record a video myself. This would be sent to someone else, which would have simply put her voice on the video. To guide, what to talk about where I would be recording the video in my own voice.

What I want is that the other person should be able to remove my voice after having seen/heard the video and get the same video recorded in his own voice. In other words, no changes to video would be made, just my voice would be replaced by sound.

    Is it possible to Captivate?

    Hello

Easy, just change the slide with the narration, click on Audio > Record and Captivate will ask if you want to replace the audio existing. After having notified you want to replace it, you can record new audio narration to replace the existing narrative.

  • Two audio files in a slide?

I want to be able to record my voice and import background music for a slide. I don't want to use the functionality of 'mood music' Captivate because music has to change on each slide.
Is my only option mix both together outside Captivate files and bring them as a single file?
Kind of silly to have to go through the additional work. Why not just have to ' audio track in the slide editor?

    Hi again Keith

What you can do is to insert an object into the slide and set it to audio. Perhaps a legend of transparent text and wordless. The legend appear (but invisible) and the audio would play.

Maybe that help you to achieve the desired results?

  • I have no sound on You Tube on Firefox on 2 different computers - I audio on Outlook and google on You tube. Why?

I couldn't get audio on YouTube videos on firefox for several days - I audio if video is a source other than you tube on Firefox. I am able to get you tube audio on Outlook and Google so I think it's a problem of "Firefox" and not on my computer. It's also happened on my counter top and my laptop. There is an X by the volume button on the You tube video, but it won't let me get rid of the X and turn the audio.

You'll probably notice a silent X next to the volume icon (speaker) on the control bar of the Flash Player on YouTube (hover the player). There seems to be a problem on the YouTube site and the sound is disabled by default.
If you need to pass the "speaker" icon and move the volume slider to the right to turn the sound back on.

  • Satellite A100: audio stream recorder requires that called the stereo mix

Try to use a workflow program audio recorder/converter, but it requires what is called "stereo mix". The toshiba only a100 doesn't seem to have this? Help?
I have tried downloading drivers latest Tosh site for Realtek sound card, but it has not made a difference.

    Hello

First of all, Toshiba has designed different models Satellite A100. You should put a portable name exactly.
Second, what do you do exactly?
Called the stereo mix is unfortunately not a very expressive information.

As far as I know on some units of the A100, the sound effect Manager realtek HD is installed.
Here you can choose different settings and audio control inputs and outputs.
Toshiba virtual sound is also pre-installed on the A100. Here, you can set the parameters for a surround sound.
By the way; all applications that you can find in the control panel.

  • ULaw and alaw record and play G711

I want to be able to capture and play directly to the a - law and u - law format.  I have read several posts on how to put the reader (capture in my case) in amr and pcm mode.

Capture of AMR and PCM is not a problem, but the correct string of capture to capture the u - law data is unknown to me.

    for the record:

capture://audio? Encoding = PCM works, also tried something like:

capture://audio? Encoding = PCMU (does not), also tried to replace with pcmu, ulaw, audio/x-ulaw

    capture://audio? Encoding = AMR (works)

When I exit the capture I get supported types:

Device supports capture Type: audio / amr
Device supports capture Type: audio / basic
Device supports capture Type: audio / x - gsm
Device supports capture Type: image / jpeg

To play, I think that I should put the x - wav player and provide good wav header, will try later, but my first concern registers directly as G711.

I'm running on Simulator and device (BB Torch v6) which should be able to support the u-law/a-law.

someone at - there more information on this? It is not possible or should I put the recorder in pcm mode and convert my data on the fly?

    Hi James!

Registration is only linear PCM.  The reading can be linear, G711 uLaw and alaw for PCM.  On a BlackBerry audio/basic = audio/pcm.

If you are interested, GSM is GSM6.10 of recording and playback, AMR's locker AMR - NB 12.2 Kb/s (unless you specify voipMode = true in your locator, but I will not go into these details, you can search the forums if you need more information on this) and any mode of AMR - NB valid for playback (only three units I know can also playback AMR - WB and AMR - WB +).

Finally, to save some time there is code attached to this question (if you can connect, related to this thread) who has code to generate headers wav on the Blackberry platform for you.
