I want to only copy videos homemade for family use, no dvd that are protected by law. I just to need to copy my home videos in my hard drive. Then my DVD Toshiba "D" will be able to rurn them on blank disc

=====================================
OK... because it is "not" a commercial - DVD copy-protected...
the following freeware can create an ISO Image of the DVD
and then burn the image onto a blank DVD. Easily pretend
multiple copies as you need.

  • Copy of iPhoto/iTunes to external drive for upgrade

I would like to transfer my iPhoto (5.0.4) and files iTunes (9.2.1) of my old iMac G5 (running 10.4.11) to my new iMac (El Capitan running).

My iTunes library is now on an external drive (and iTunes is headed there), and I would like to copy my iPhoto on the same drive - to move together on the new iMac while maintaining the structures of files etc.

Can someone tell me what is the best way to do this? I'm not clear what iPhoto files files, I need to move or copy on the external hard drive to retain the current structure of the organization/etc folder or the process then bring them into the right place on the new machine.

Simply drag and drop them where you want libraries to reside. As iPhoto is plu included you will use the Photos app. You can learn how to move the library iPhotos to Photos for Mac on http://osxdaily.com/2015/04/17/move-iphoto-library-to-photos-mac/.

Insofar as your iTunes library, yet once just drag and drop. 'Teach' iTunes where the library is simply double-click the library and iTunes will find it and then "know" where the library.

  • Move the folder of my movies on external hard drive?

I am relatively new to the mac computer and tried to find a way to spend all my movies on an external drive folder.  My movies is more than 400 GB now and really causing me problems, I know that if I just copy paste the folder that iMovie will not find my videos as they were.  I found a few articles really old to do this using the terminal but I failed again.  Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Movies like in the home movies in iMovie or movies like in the movies purchased on iTunes...?

For iMovie, see > move your iMovie for library (2014) Mac - Apple Support

For iTunes, see > manage and backup your iTunes media library - Apple Support

For external media storage either and/or, it is wise to have the media stored in a second location.

  • transfer movies to the flash drive

I downloaded the six Star Wars movies and that you do not have enough space on my Air.  I am told that I can transfer the movies on a flash drive and pop the stick in the Air to play.

I bought a 128 g flash drive and when I try to drag and drop, I get the message that there is not enough space on the handle, although there is nothing else on the stick.  What I'm missing or doing wrong?

I have to drag items to drive flash (formatted in BOLD) all the time and have no problem, but then I use an older version of iTunes and the operating system.  Maybe the drive is locked or is simple bad. What happens if you copy files to it from the Finder?

  • Lightroom will not import, copy, or move after recent update

I checked three times: the I want to import files into a folder on my hard drive. I am able to open all in PSCC. But when I point to the file in LR, it shows all the files at all (not even gray) and there is no action that can be taken other than to cancel.

    I have:

    1. rebooted computer (iMac)

2 moved the files to a folder on my hard drive and checked that they are "good records.

3 checked to ensure that they were not already in LR (although I would expect to see them but "grayed out")

4 checked and unchecked 'suspects duplicates' just in case

5 tried other options: move, copy, add.

    6 restarted LR several times

7 use a different catalog (of a backup set)

Nothing works. Before you uninstall and reinstall, I could get here and see if I'm the only one what is happening or if I did something incredibly stupid thinking.

2015.1 isn't the latest version of Lightroom. Try to update to 2015.1.1, which contains some bug fixes.

In addition, please state the exact version of Mac OS x. As we have seen, declaring "last update" does not always mean that you actually have the most recent version.

In addition, when make you this import using either copy or move, are the Destination Panel on the right side of the dialog showing import and expanded, or is it missing or it is collapsed?

  • I copied the photo library on external drive, and that one photo now shows despite the file being 70 GB.

I had a library in iPhoto on an external HARD drive, and it worked. This is a disc plu so I decided to replace it with a new one that doesn't take much space on my desk. I copied the library through an external DRIVE to another drive, and it seemed to work. However, it now shows that a single photo despite being listed in the file manager as containing more than 70 GB.

I explored a bit further in the file using finder and preview and found many files sorted by date. The photos seem to be all there, but they appear in iPhoto when I switched to this library. Always only one picture appears.

I decided to convert the copied pictures from iPhoto library and it took a lot of time to convert, but the converted library always display just a single photo in Photos when I switch to this library.

I could import all of them individually, but it's a big enough job, if there is a way to get libraries to work correctly.

    Any suggestions?

We need the details - what format is the drive? How is it connected? It serves a TM backup Volume? How you copied the library itself? The library still works fine on the old drive? anything else you can tell us which could help a total strange who don't see you help?

  • Open a local copy or move on the server, and then disconnect while the task is running until the end

    RNOS6 running on RNDU600 +.

Looking to start a local copy or move of the large collection of files on the server, and then disconnect the PC while the task is running until the end. For example, to move a branch of several hundreds of GB of small files from one share to another, or copy them to a share.

Seems to make my PC (in wireless) is inefficient as each file seems to have sent to the PC first, then return to the NAS.

Is there a way of ordering on the NAS, so that it can continue the operation even if the PC is disconnected?

Have you tried to make using the web administration page?

I have several files in my temp folder that I can't delete, rename, copy, or move. I was hunting for them with research and it brings back me to the same temp file. The registry can not find them. I even tried to delete using BACK, but it says no file. I get no error message just bong when I try to remove it. I just tried to delete them in safe mode, it did not work.

  • How to move the file to drive d to drive c?

I just reinstalled windows and I reformat my c drive but not my d drive, but my files on the c drive has been moved accidentally to my d drive. For each component of windows was moved to my d drive. How to transfer files in the c drive d drive?

You need to reinstall Windows on the drive, we can't move to a different drive letter after it is installed.  If you remove existing partitions and create new ones during the installation, you must exit and restart Setup after you create and format the new partition, it avoids unexpected drive letter assignments.

  • Can I format my recovery disk if I copied the recovery on an external drive?

On my Hp computer, I noticed that my recovery was almost full.  So I copied it on an external drive.

My question is; Can I format my recovery if I copied the recovery on an external drive?

    Hello

    No, you can't.

And reading this on the recovery partitions:

It is supposed to have the files it contains, because it contains the files to reinstall the operating system.

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

    1. If you want to reinstall Windows from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

Also ask them how to make records.

Your D: Recovery Drive is should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

There are backups on an external hard drive.

To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

    See you soon.
