COPY OF DB1 to DB2 CREATE TABLE...

If I run script (3) in the database of and remove (-), it will run.  But when I turn into a COPY OF DB1 to DB2 (my example uses DB1 to DB1 for you) and try and run - it returns immediately and does not create the table in the database TO.  And I do not get an error.

I'm looking for 40 + combos 3 different characters but the characters are not separated in the table, it's just all crushed together.  I try so to analyze the data, and then look 3 character codes.  (I know it's a ugly script).

Are there limits using a script to COPY OF DB1 to DB2?  For me, it was mentioned that there are too many characters in my select statement.  If this is the case, anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance... Shelli

  • Equivalent of CREATE TABLE syntax for functions?

    Hello
    I am trying to update my functions with a copy of another data base. Y at - it an equivalent syntax in CREATE TABLE as for functions? Basically, I want to drop my old feature in my dev environment and re-create it with the version on prod. I need to use it in a loop for all functions in prod, if just by using the statement plsql itself will not solve my problem.

    Thank you

    Hi, John,.

    Discover the package supplied by Oracle dbms_metadata.

    In addition, the source code for procedures, functions and packages is available in user_source, which you can query like this:

    SELECT       text
    FROM       user_source
    WHERE       name     = 'PROC_X'
    AND       type     = 'PROCEDURE'
    ORDER BY  line

  • create table as a table with nested column type

    On my Oracle DB (11.1), I have a table with a nested as a column type (and it is a partitioned table).
    Now I need to copy partitions in a second table, and I use swap partition for it (with a table that is not partitioned as a table in step).

    But there is a problem, because as the ordinary as sql ddl:
    create table table1_stage as select * from table1 where 1=2;
    does not work when there is a table nested within a column type.
    Is it possible easy to copy its structure (and to create the table that is not partitioned, so I suppose that no dbms_metadata package would help)?

    Kind regards...

  • What is the best way to create tables in Illustrator cs5

    Hi all

    I am currently working on the contribution of a project for a printer Board. He must have rows and columns so that a project can be followed and assigned on a day to day basis. I thought I would just create a table for this. Is there a good way to create tables in Illustrator cs5?

    You can also copy and paste the ID table to HAVE, but since they cannt be bound as pdf or eps he ae limits to how much you can edit

  • transfer of constraint in CREATE TABLE as subquery

    I tried to create a table of subquery that involves the join operation. tables:

    ,col3 varchar2(100) not null
    ,constraint ck1 check(col2l>100)
    )
    create table composite as select * from t1 left join t2 using(col1,col2)
    I checked the constraints trained in composite table and only the stress level in t1.col3 attribute is copied. What about other constraints? are they excluded because they are forced to table level? Thank you

    Published by: 801264 on November 27, 2010 04:07

    NOT only the constraints apply NULL to the DEC and even they are applied according to the type of join or / and expression. In your case t2.col3 of column is NOT NULL, however, the corresponding column in the composite table would be NULL since LEFT JOIN implies a null value when no match on col1 is found. Same way any expression against t1.col3 would result in a column that can be null in the composite table.

  • create table as select the number of lines

    Hi s/n,.

    IM using create table select this option to copy the table of which 400 million rows.is there anyway to watch how many lines it is actually processing (copied) as we do by using a query in import.

    You can see if there is something in v$ session_longops.

    You can also monitor the space consumed as dba_segments or dba_extents.

  • Copy a line in the same table with most original values

    Hello experts SQL, I hope you can help me. Forgive me if this topic has already been answered and posted but I couldn't find.

    I need to copy thousands of rows in a table to itself (table). The goal is to insert/add a new line of effdt for non-respondents according to a recent study. I get the old ' ORA-00001: unique constraint "error when I try to run sql. If I specify a value for one of the key fields, emplid, it's not a problem, but I can't specify the values 4 000 + in my sql.
    Could you please give me advice on how to achieve this? Your help is greatly appreciated. Here is my SQL test that does not work:

    INSERT INTO pers_data_usa has
    (effdt, emplid, MILITARY_STATUS, US_WORK_ELIGIBILTY,
    CITIZEN_PROOF1, CITIZEN_PROOF2, MEDICARE_ENTLD_DT)
    SELECT EFFDT, B.emplid, TO_DATE(SYSDATE,'DD/MON/YYYY')
    '1', 'Y', B.CITIZEN_PROOF1, B.CITIZEN_PROOF2, B.MEDICARE_ENTLD_DT
    OF pers_data_usa B, pers_data_usa A
    WHERE A.EMPLID = B.emplid
    AND A.EFFDT <>SYSDATE

    ORA-00001: unique constraint (SCHEMA. PERS_DATA_USA)

    When I put the values in emplid, the line is created. There is a unique constraint on the emplid for non-null and it is a key field.

    Thanks in advance for your answers and review... Jason

    What is the unique constraint that is violated, said the? (Is the name of the constraint really the same as the name of the table?) One or more of the lines that you want to copy probably already has a corresponding row in the table that violates the uniqueness constraint.

    If it is an array of PeopleSoft delivered, shouldn't use you PeopleSoft APIs to change the data? Unless you are absolutely certain you know all tables in PeopleSoft that potentially makes reference to this table, directly modify the data tends to cause a lot of headaches down the line.

    Cannot find the data type PSDATE comes here.  Looks like one of the required scripts has not been executed.  It has been long since I am on a site of SQL Server, but I understand the substance of this issue.  PeopleSoft creates a customized in SQL Server PSDATE data type which is an extension of the date format.

    Rather than to point you to the script, I suggest you go back and find where this prerequisite is necessary and make sure that you are not lacking in any other required component.

  • How to force the data type in create table field?

    Hi all

    I need to force my table to create as follows

    Create table XYZ

    (Test varchar2 (10 CHAR)

    ...

    );

    When I run my Interface the script is

    Create table XYZ

    (Test varchar2 (10))

    ...

    );

    and the DBMS translated into

    Create table XYZ

    (Test varchar2 (10 BYTE),

    ...

    );

    I have the same problem with I$, C$, and so on.

    Best regards

    Marco

    Hi all

    I fix my problem:

    In Phisical Tecnology, under ORACLE Tecnology, data TYPE, I modified the definition of VARCHAR2 in VARCHAR2(%L CHAR).

    (Before it was VARCHAR2 (%)).

    Thank you all.
